Returning To Base

{Alden's POV...}

I sit on the edge of the bed, facing towards the window with my eyes wide open, dumbfounded. I chuckle to myself in bewilderment so. The reason why I am like this is because I saw this from Islero's perspective.

Andre is here too? Not only Ashley, but Andre is here? How?

[Incoming transmission from Islero.]

"Hey, I'm finished." Islero said.

"How'd it go?" I said.

"The church is being burned down. While I was there, the ritual was being made." Islero said. "Ignyesa was really being summoned. So, I broke it."

"Good, that's one calamity averted." I said.

"Can I know the reason why you don't want Ignyesa summoned?" Islero said.

"It'll get too troublesome if she were to be summoned." I said. "And by troublesome, she'll be a nightmare."

I don't want Igneysa in the Material Realm at all because I don't have allies, resources nor strength to even survive her onslaught. In the game, she killed 120,000 players before she was killed. The first 5,000 died instantly just from her entering the Material Realm. Many guilds were crippled if not destroyed. My guild was almost destroyed as well, but recovered.

If she were to come, I wouldn't last even a second. I better make sure I am strong enough to survive, no, to kill her if it were to come to this.

"Fair enough, I won't ask more." Islero said.

I stood up and looked around to find something to write. I see a table with paper, a feather, and a ink bottle.

I walk to it and sit down. I have used pens, pencils, markers, paintbrushes, and many other stuff so a ink feather is no different for me.

I began writing the letter to leave it here so that maid can give it to Gravius. Though it was short being an elf, but there is a home I like to return to.

After writing the letter, I let Ashley know.

"Ashley, you here?" I said.

"Yeah, I'm at the mountains. You done here?" Ashley said.

"Yeah, I'll be right there." I said.

With that, I transported myself outside of Virdana.

*Voom!*

I transported myself back to the same location where Xydrid landed. Seeing that it is almost dark now, I'll have an easier time with Shadow Sneak and meet Ashley.

*Flap!*

However, Ashley has already found me. She is flying above with her deep azure eyes glowing in the dark.

Better yet, her eyes are just shooting beams of blue light.

"Heh, your eyes are a pair of headlights." I snickered.

"I've been here for a couple of decades, I had free time." Ashley shrugged. She flew downwards and grabbed my hand.

"You got Space Magic. You can go anywhere in an instant which is faster than me flying." Ashley said.

"I know a place, but first let's head to the Telgrin Mountains." I suggested.

*Voom!*

We transported ourselves back to the mountains, to where Xydrid was found and summoned Gris, Noire, Mavros, Viridesca, and Schwarze. I told them to scout to take out any intruders.

I summoned a ball of fire as a form of light for us to talk.

"This cave..." Ashley said as she looked around. She happened to see claw marks, craters, burns, and gashes on the wall.

"This cave is where I found Xydrid where he was a size of my human palm. Poor guy was fighting for his life." I said. "Just so I know, an Adolescent Dragon was there."

"Where is it now?" Ashley asked.

"Dead. Some adventurer got involved with it and caused it to chased it to the kingdom." I answered. "But I didn't come here to tell you Xydrid's backstory."

"You know about Andre in the game?" I asked.

"Yeah, he's a Level 987 Vampire who is highly resistant to holy water, Light Magic, and Silver. What about him?" Ashley said.

"I saw him. Through Islero's vision, I saw him as a vampire." I answered.

Ashley stepped back with her eyes wide with disbelief. She then shook her head.

"No...no, that's not possible. He was taking care of your siblings along with Danny." Ashley puts her hand on her forehead, trying to wrap her head around my statement. "If he is here, then he has died in our world, but the amount of violence should be less when the Vice President took over."

"I'm not lying. Look." I said, moving to her side and showed her the screen.

With this screen for her to view, the doubts she had vanished.

"So he is in this world...have you ever seen Suzana?" Ashley asked.

"Nah, I went through Nolten Village, Noltia, Valtuz, Dystoark, Telgrin Mountains, Nuen Mines, and Virdana. No sign of her." I answered, shaking my head.

"Have you gone through the other kingdoms like Ergex and Felexin?" Ashley said.

"Not yet. And that's assuming she did reincarnate here; she could be anywhere." I said.

The cave goes silent, thinking that the chances of reuniting is thin.

"But at least we found Andre. Is he taking his reincarnation well?" Ashley said, breaking the silence.

"I don't know fully, but he looked like he adapted it. But I know he's using it as a facade." I said. "But I think I know where he went." I then continued. "Since Felexin is north of Noltia, their church there is in the northeast."

"Felexin, especially the other kingdoms deem vampires as a threat and have cities that has towers to look out for invaders." Ashley said. "Except there is a forest that is flooded with low to mid ranked monsters unlike Dystoark. Most of which are undead."

Ashley then realized and pieced together that Andre is a vampire, placing him inside the Undead category.

"Then this means he must've built a base for himself within that territory." Ashley deducted. "However, we don't know exactly where he is. Even if we do find him, will he remember us?"

"That...we'll have to see. And for finding him, Islero can help us." I said. "Hey, Islero."

*Fwoom!*

"Yeah?" Islero appeared in a squatting position.

"You met the vampire, right? Since you have Soul Seeker, you can track him." I said.

"About that...I lost him." Islero said. "But he's in a place where there is a lot of undeads."

It was simple, Andre wouldn't set up a long-term base inside or near the territories of Felexin.

"Onyxia." we answered in sync. Onyxia is a territory that is in the mountains, northeast of Felexin where many vampires fight for supremacy. Although it is not as large as Dystoark, but large enough to fit multiple castles.

"That's our next destination." Ashley said.

*Fwoom!*

Islero vanished again, leaving us two together.

"This might take a while, since it took me a day to get from Velizar to Dystoark as a young dragon." Ashley shrugged. "We're gonna need preparations if we're gonna reach Onyxia."

Our goal is set. We find Andre by finding his temporary base and his real base in Onyxia. However, I still have Hyoran who is still sleeping.

Then, a message popped up.

[Attention. Hyoran is undergoing mutation.]

I looked inside the isolated space to see Hyoran still sleeping with Fennec, but nothing is happening on the surface. Since I have yet to meet Ezo and Tuya again after a few days.

"Before we start, I must tell you something." I said. Something that I've been doing before I met Ashley again.
