Massive Influx

*BREEP!* *BREEP!* *BREEP!* *BREEP!*

[Warning! Massive influx of Outworlder Heroes have appeared!]

"Massive influx? Does it mean that a large number of people just died in our world!?" Andre exclaimed.

"There could be hundreds, if not thousands of them who just died or was transported." Ashley claimed.

Thousands of them!? This is unlike any game in this franchise that pulled off any drastic changes before. I don't see a notification that shows that the Deities pulling the strings to pull that off. But...

"What if the Deities caused these deaths in our world?" I asked Ashley.

"Under normal circumstances, they'd lose their followers or in worse cases, they'd lose their godhood outright." Ashley replied. "But this could be that they were able to circumvent that."

"By what exactly? Is it the rebellion we were in?" Andre assumed.

"Maybe. Right now, we need to get out of here." Ashley said. "Who knows who will show up nearby."

Suddenly, Ashley's eyes went wide for some reason. Something serious.

"Shit...it's already happening." Ashley whispered.

"What's happening?" Andre asked.

"Alden, do you have enough magic to take us to my mother!?" Ashley said.

"Yeah, I can--" I answered until another alarm went off.

*BREEEP!!* *BREEEP!!*

[Warning, Tuya and Ezo are under attack!]

[Assistance is required!]

"No...that quick!?" I gasped. For the first time in this world, they needed my help. For them to struggle must mean that someone or something is at least a U rank.

"I'll take you there, but I got another situation." I said.

"This must be related to that light in the sky. I'll get there on my own." Ashley said.

*WHOOOSH!!*

Ashley brought out her wings and rapidly ascended to the sky and tore through the sky, disappearing into the night in the sky.

*Bzzzt!* *Ka-zaaoow!!*

She then imbued herself with Tyrant Aura and Tempest Magic, bringing light around her and began flying.

*VWO-BOOOM!!*

Ashley soon began tearing through the skies at rapid speed, quickly disappearing into the night. I turn to Andre.

"Andre, you're with me." I said. Andre nodded with a serious expression and went into my shadow. I put his coffin in my Isolated Space and I used my Space Magic to transport us to Nolten Village.

{Earlier...at Nolten Village...}

The villagers continue with their mundane lives, especially with Tuya and Ezo sleeping together. It was a peaceful night with the noises of nature.

That is until their ears twitched. The two woke up from their slumber with their eyes wide open and rapidly got up. Their instincts as Beastkins woke them up, warning them that someone powerful is approaching.

"Do you feel that, Tuya?" Ezo said.

"Yes I did." Tuya replied. "But this is different than a dragon...or any monster we've faced."

"Aaaaargh!!" A scream rang out in the village, causing them to put on their clothes and take their weapons with them.

They ran out to find the source of that scream along with many other villagers, including Olken.

What they see is a man in a white military-like coat, decorated with gold and red designs. The gold trims shine in the dim lights of the torches and lanterns in the night and his white cape covering fluttering gently in the breeze.

What besides him are village guards on the ground clutching their arms and legs are bent in the undesirable direction, writhing in pain.

This man has green eyes, white skin, and medium length steel blue hair. The man flicks his bangs with his white gloves as to flaunt his bravado.

"Goodness me, I apologize for my sudden visit, but this esteemed self was informed that a Tyrant once lived here." the man says as he walked towards the crowd.

"What Tyrant?" Olken said. "And what gives you the reason to hurt our guards?"

"I'm terribly sorry about that, but they were quite rude and aggressive towards me so I had diffuse the situation, despite me being a hero." the man replied.

"A hero!? What are the odds of meeting one!?" one villager happily exclaimed.

"If a hero is here then we'll be better off." another villager said.

Other villagers began joining the conversation of being hopeful of the man's appearance, thinking that a hero is here to defeat what big threat looms over.

But for Tuya and Ezo, they know something is wrong. That man isn't here with good intentions.

"It is good that you all acknowledge my title as hero!" the man laughed haughtily with a smug smile. Then the smile faded. "Now show me the Tyrant."

"If you're saying that the Tyrant is here, then no. We haven't seen one since--" Olken said.

"You misunderstand, dwarf." the man interjected. "I wasn't asking."

*BWOOMF!!*

Olken was sent flying backwards through the crowd and then crashes into a hut behind them.

*CRASH!!*

The crowd looked back, stunned for a moment, trying to comprehend what happened. How can a hero attack an innocent civilian?

"I guess speaking with you lowly dregs was a waste of time. And what's even worse is that you see me as a liar!" the man said with his veins bulging from his neck.

"I'll have to beat it out of you since you like to deny me so much. Everyone, find the Tyrant!" he continued, summoning the gust of wind in his hands.

More people in white militaristic outfits walk out to the villagers, wielding various weapons, giving sinister smiles.

The villagers soon realized that this hero has deemed them as heretics, but why? Why them? They don't know who is the Tyrant.

But none of that mattered as chaos ensued the moment this man in white begun attacking.

{Now...}

*Voom!*

I used my Space Magic to transport myself to the plains where the system has alarmed me.

[Transportation interrupted, insufficient magic.]

I look in the distance to find out that smoke is billowing out in the forest from the open plains. The place where I was raised with Hyoran; Nolten Village.

"Dammit, it already happened in Nolten Village!" I yelled. I looked upwards to see a more of these streaks of light. Andre exits my shadows to see as well, including the tower of smoke.

"This...this is insane. Who knows what type of hero will we be fighting." Andre said with concern. Then, he grabbed my shoulder. He noticed that we're not alone.

"Alden, if you're going to go there, go on without me." Andre whispered to me ear. "I'll meet you there."

I nodded and used Shadow Sneak to go to Nolten Village, leaving him behind.

*Shoom!*

I jumped out my Shadow Sneak and began to see the horrors of my village. My village was once peaceful, yet humble place to live in where villagers have to get the food by hunting most of the time. Now, it's a burning hellscape where huts are burning, people running, limping, and screaming.

"Oh god...what the hell happened!?" I gawked in horror. I may be fortunate that Hyoran is not in danger right now, but Tuya, Ezo, and Olken are my first priority.

I ran inside the burning village and see multiple people in white, stained in blood attacking people. Their outfits are militaristic, yet highly decorated to the point it's almost fictional. I run around to find Tuya and Ezo first by using Shadow Sneak.

*Shoom!*

I find the two running with the kids until a large man with a large Greataxe in his hand. He looks down at them with a vicious smile.

"Stay behind us, children!" Tuya yelled and transforms her hands into wolf claws encased in ice. Ezo did the same.

"Hehehe, how adorable." the large man chuckled. He then raised his giant axe and imbues it with his orange aura. "Too bad that I have to kill you."

Seeing this happening, I turned into an Oni and dashed towards that person with one leap. As soon as that man noticed me, I threw a punch right at his head.

In slow motion, my fist landed right in his cheek, but as moments go by, his head began to deform, his eyes began to turn red and bulge out of his sockets.

As time flowed back to normal...

*BOOOOM!!!*

*SPLURCH!!*

I punched the man in the head that it was like a bomb went off. His head was in no doubt was no more than red mist. Then a red fountain followed afterwards, staining his white uniform.

I grabbed his Greataxe and the headless corpse fell over to the ground, pouring more blood from his neck.

[Rank U target slain. 2,500,000 EP acquired.]

[Level 1 Hero slain. 1,000,000 EP acquired.]

I turn to Ezo and Tuya and see the children behind them shocked at what happened. A man who was built like a mountain was instantly killed by a bigger mountain. I took a look at them to see that they're covered in cuts and blood, hunched over.

I even see Tuya having her left eye closed and Ezo's left arm being limp and bleeding profusely.

They have been injured while I was away. I wanted to tell the two that it's me, but I don't think they'll take it well knowing that their stepson is an Oni.

I'll just pretend I was a passerby and have a grudge against these people.

"Are you alright?" I said in a deeper voice.

"Y-yeah...we are." Tuya replied wearily. She gives a calm expression to me as if she knew who I was. I looked at the kids who are trembling in fear where some were injured as well.

"Who did this?" I growled in anger from seeing Tuya and Ezo like this. What kind of sick fuck would do something like this? I have killed people before, but I don't kill people for sport!

"Those people came looking for a Tyrant...but we never met a Tyrant before." Ezo said, pointing ahead of me.

What I see is a group of people in white military uniform like that man I just killed. Attacking and torturing the villagers to find me.

I used Healing Magic to heal Tuya and Ezo. Their wounds began to close, but their fatigue remained.

"Find a safe place." I said. After that, I picked up the corpse by the leg and dragged it along where the children look away from the gore.

As for me, I take off my hood, showing my two red horns. It was then the rest of the attackers notice what happened.

They look into my direction to see me approach them. When I looked, there were seven of them.

"Is that...Feldman!?" one of the attackers said.

"Impossible! Not even a Rock Bear can move him!" another one said. "Did this Oni do this!?"

I scanned the other seven people.

So some are U and X ranks, huh? I managed to kill one of them because he wasn't looking, but I have gotten their attention.

I don't know their reason, but I know that they aren't gonna walk away with their limbs attached.
