“I-I remembered what my grandmother said about supernatural creatures. I didn’t know they were real.”
Laura was dragged to her old memory of her younger self, it was the time where Laura was listening to her grandmother who is telling her stories of supernatural creatures that once roamed the earth.
”Witches and Vampires have once ruled the earth.”
Her grandmother said, Laura enjoyed her grandmother’s tales before she sleeps.
“They are vile creatures that betrayed their own creators, they hunt for blood and is far more stronger than a hundred soldiers. They hunt in the night because they were too sensitive to the daylight to the point that it can turn them to ashes.”
“They were superior to any creatures that roamed the earth, even to their creators, the witches, they seemed to be far more superior than them. Their population grew larger, faster than you can imagine which then triggered their greeds to rule over the earth.”
“Vampires hated our kind because of their ability to withstand the day and decided to slaughter thousands of us which forced the remaining of our kind into hiding. Afraid that they’ll be slaughtered and feasted once they step out of their hide outs, they decided to pray earnestly for the gods to help them.”
”One full moon, a war broke out which resulted to the defeat of the Vampire and after five hundred years there were no more reports about the creature’s existence.”
Laura told Timothy the story that her grandmother had been telling her ever since she was young. At first, it seems unbelievable but now that Timothy have seem one he sure believes their existence and is also curious about their purpose of refacing.
“Did you believe everything that your grandmother said?”
He asked.
“I did back when I was young, but slowly I didn’t care much about it and even now with you seeing that vile creature face to face.”
Laura answered. Timothy nodded, understanding her position of the existence of the supernatural creature.
“Did your grandma tell you its way of reproducing or some sort?”
Timothy asked who Laura responded by shaking her head which meant she doesn’t have more information about the creature.
“Okay, for now let’s get out of here and go home. I’m pretty sure classes are suspended because of the news.”
Timothy stood up and accompanied Laura out of the cafeteria. While the two left the cafeteria, Moira over heard everything from the beginning and was surprised by the news. She’s not certain if they were telling the truth or not but it’s a must that all the girls have to know about it. She stood up and left the cafeteria in a rush, has no time to waste as there is a possibility of losing another human’s life in any minute.
She arrived at their house, surprising the girls who were already inside.
“What’s wrong?”
Savannah asked. Moira closed the door behind her and went closer to them.
“T-there’s V-amp-ire a-atta-ck c-amp-us”
Her catching of breaths limited her from pronouncing each word right.
“What?”
”Speak slowly and breathe first.”
Sharron told her in which the latter obliged. Moira calmed herself down and repeated the words that she said earlier.
“There’s a Vampire attack in the campus and two people died.”
