Danger Ahead

There’s a Vampire attack in the campus and two people died.”

After they had heard Moira clearly, they were hesitant to believe her. Savannah went closer and asked.

“Where did you hear it?”

Moira was surprised that Sav didn’t believe her.

“I heard it from someone in the cafeteria, the guy said he saw the vampire face to face.”

Moira answered. The others gave each other looks, still doubting her story.

“It’s impossible for someone to not be dead if that guy even encountered it face to face.”

Joanne said, it was their first time to see her being serious.

“Maybe she’s just joking you know?! We never know.”

Katrina added. It looked like a fight between Moira and the other three witches with Sharron in the middle. The tension between the witches grew caused by a small statement. Sharron noticed this and decides to end it.

“Why not ask him directly and prove his story’s authenticity?”

Sharron suggested. Savannah caught on her idea and agreed.

“Yes, that’s a great idea.”

She said. The tension between the three witches subsided as they decided to carry on Sharron’s idea.

“So... who was the guy?”

Sharron asked. Moira’s eyes widened, he didn’t really saw who the guy was nor recognized his voice from someone she knew.

“I... I didn’t see his face.”

Moira held her nape. Everyone facepalmed after hearing her answer, they are now stuck whether to really believe her or not. With nothing to resolve the issue, Katrina turns away from them and saw the news about two students dead inside their university’s library.

”Guys! Look!”

She went to the remote to increase the volume. Everyone turned towards the television and saw the news that was being reported.

“Two students were found dead inside the Great Library of Llaverhans University, and the autopsy report includes the caused of death were from suffocation of a certain substance leak.”

They all looked at Moira who was also surprised. She was disappointed at herself for believing such stories from someone she didn’t even knew.

”I’m sorry guys. I shouldn’t have eavesdropped and immediately believe other people’s conversation.”

Moira apologized.

“It’s okay, we know that not only us but also other creatures have made their way to the human world.”

Sharron said.

After the issue was resolved, everyone went back to what they were doing before everything went to a chaos. Moira went inside her room, still disappointed with herself.

Sharron was browsing their school forum when she saw an odd post from an anonymous user.

“False news regarding the Library incident.”

The title of the post got her intrigued, so clicked on it and began reading.

“The news flash and the local news reported the same case but have different autopsies.“

Her eyes widened upon watching the video of the two reports that was attached on the claim.

”Was Moira telling the truth all along?”

She asked herself. She scrolled through the comment section and saw the students saying the same thing.

”Guys, there’s something you have to see.”

She said calling the others who were currently doing something else. Everyone went to her, and they gathered in front of the laptop. Upon reading the title of the article, they were stunned after realizing that maybe Moira was telling the truth all along.

“What’s wrong?”

Moira asked as she went out of her room.
