Chapter 42: San Francisco Starlight Facility

Willis shifted closer to the wall, tucking his arms in against his chest. Once it had been confirmed that there was electricity, Clint had put the air conditioning on full blast. At first it was nice, but then it was just cold.

Most of the blankets were on top of the twins. The two were on the mattress in the corner of the room. Tucker was by their feet lying on top of a blanket with his and Willis’s jacket on top of him. It took little more than a shiver for him to hand it over. Clint laid half on the bed, head resting beside Devin’s with a blanket on him. They looked peaceful.

Another check in the dim light of a flashlight proved that Dallas was also sleeping. He had moved one of the lobby chairs into the office space. It sat next to the door, the only way in and out of the room.
