Chapter 56: WSA Alcatraz Command Post

When Dallas woke up in the morning, he saw a soft glow on the other side of the room. He knew no one else should be awake since it had to be around 4:30. Quietly getting out of bed, Dallas saw the glow coming from where Willis had the blanket tucked over his head. Blinking a few times to make sure he wasn’t dreaming, he called out to him.

After a second the blanket came down, and Willis’s face lit gently, “sorry, did I wake you?”

“No, but why are you awake?” Dallas flipped his legs onto the floor, cringing at the cold.

“Couldn’t sleep. Why are you awake?”

“I always get up early.”

“Well, Leena will be around to show us to breakfast about seven so we have a while before the others have to get up,” Willis pulled the blanket tighter around himself.

“You should try to sleep.”

“But I won’t.”
