Chapter 60: Sacramento District

“We really didn’t have to leave,” Dallas shut the front door behind them, “I would have been fine.”

Willis plopped down on the couch, “I was ready to get out of there, people are exhausting.”

Huffing a laugh, Landon slid Dallas’s jacket off and held it out for him to take, “I’m going to bed.” He waved them both goodnight and disappeared upstairs.

“I think I’ll head off too after I work on this stain,” Dallas headed for the kitchen. He opened the fridge looking for something acidic.

In the other room Willis shuffled around, then popped in to sit on the counter, “here,” he had two pills in his hand, “these will help with the headache.”

Dallas grabbed them and tossed them back without water. He just wanted his brain to stop pulsating.

“You should go lay down,” Willis suggested, “you look terrible.”

“I want to shower first.”

“Then go shower.”

“I will after I work on this.”

“You don’t need to do that right now. Tucker can get a new one, he has another.”
