She wasn’t given any more time to reflect on her recent life choices because her next appointment was scheduled to begin in a few minutes. Ginnie called and said the woman was in the lobby. It gave Donna no pleasure, but a client was a client and this person had asked to specifically meet with Donna Quinton-Marshall- and it seemed she was prepared to pay the money too.

Donna was not keen because the two of them had a long and rocky history, dating back to when Diana was still alive. Some hurtful things were said about the Quintons and Donna had been at a very impressionable age. While her feelings toward Ashley Warner had mellowed considerably, she had not forgotten what the woman had done and said.

Ginnie knocked once and ushered Ms. Warner into the room.

“Ms. Warner, welcome to DQ,” Donna said politely, holding out her hand in greeting.

“Donna Quinton, designer extraordinaire,” the other woman said slowly.
