Chapter 30: Pigeons

The breakfast conversation settled with two ideas: a grand charitable ball and a crash course on Ransang’s social etiquette from Kendra.

I don’t know if I could be excited from the latter. Kendra was someone who might be able to command a fleet and raise a flag but she could not teach one student.

Because the monotony inside the General’s mansion was suffocating me, I decided to feed some corn to the pigeons at the garden just like what I usually do back at the countryside with my mother and Marcial.

I watched the pigeons flew over the lined trees, forming irregular V shapes all the time. I looked up to the sky, wondering why I’ll be to fly as high as them.

Marcial decided to keep me company before he went back to Linden City. This might be one of the last and rare moments that I could be with him before officially getting married. Before officially becoming the General’s wife.
