Prince, still riding the wave of exhilaration from his victory over the three Dukes who harbored disdain for him, descended to the ballroom floor with Duke by his side. Meanwhile, Valentin retreated to his usual corner, blending back into the shadows.

"Alicia," Prince said softly as he reached out for her. Without hesitation, she ran into his arms, embracing him tightly.

"Prince," she whispered, her voice carrying a mix of relief and warmth.

"I was only gone for a short while," he said, pulling her close and wrapping her in his arms.

She looked up into his eyes, her own beautiful brown ones shimmering with emotion. Stroking her cheek softly, he gazed at her intently.

"It felt like eons," she said, regaining her composure as she held onto him.

"And what did I miss during this time?" Prince asked with a faint smile.
