"Thank you Quinn"

"We should just drag Sage into the water"

Quinn finished, the three girls ran up too Sage and started pulling her into the water.

"I hate you guys"

Sage yelled

"You guys have unlocked a scary side of Sage"

Nathaniel growled from the other side of the lake, Daniel and Melania who were swimming next to him giggled.

"Shut up Nathaniel clearly Sage didn't like that comment"

Beth yelled back, Sage was swimming her fastest to Nathaniel and once she had made it she splashed him, got onto his back and pushed his head underwater.

"You guys have unlocked a scary side of Sage"

Sage mocked before letting Nathaniel breath again, Nathaniel looked mad. Beth burst out in laughter

"Nathaniel you can almost see steam coming out of your ears what's next you turn as red as a tomato or chip your teeth from clenching your jaw"

Beth joked, seconds later Nathaniel was gone underwater and before long Beth was thrown up into the air and landed on Nathaniel's shoulder.

"Let me go you asshole"

Beth kicked and hit Nathaniel, but Nathaniel ignored her. He just stood there with Beth in his shoulder talking to Becca.

"When are we eating the cake?"

Nathaniel asked Becca

"I don't know, it's around two and we got here an hour ago so maybe when it starts to get darker so it looks vibey"

"Or now, I know I'm hungry"

"Why don't we let Beth decide"

"Yes, good idea Becca"

Beth chipped in

"I don't like that idea so much, I say we do it when we are hungry"

Nathaniel snarled

"Ok now seriously when are we going to eat the cake"

Becca asked again

"Now"

Beth yelled

"Fine I guess"

Becca decided and everyone hopped out of the water dried themselves a decent amount off before indulging in the cake.

"Now that Beths officially eighteen years old she can make an OnlyFans"

Melania told the group

"Beth would never do that"

"Since when do you know me Nathaniel, now out of spite once we get home I'm making an OnlyFans"

Beth sassed back

"Oh yay exciting"

Melania giggled

"I can't believe I'm officially an adult, I can vote, join the army, own a gun but I still can't drink"

Beth celebrated before holding up a glass of champagne

"Legally"

Daniel corrected her.

"It's so unfair you guys are always drinking but I can't"

Quinn complained

"Why don't you just abort it"

"Beth, why would you ask that"

Sage looked shocked

"Well because I want a child and why not, I would have probably done that if I stayed at home but I don't know"

Quinn answered

"Do you know if it's a girl or boy"

Sage asked

"And what do you want it to be"

Daniel added on

"I don't want to know the sex and I personally want it to be a boy"

Quinn answered

"A boy, girls are so much more better"

Becca claimed

"And whys that"

Daniel asked

"Well you can teach them to scam older men out of money you can do that with men but I feel like older men are more conservative and that's why doing it with women is easier. You also get to teach them the horrors of sexism and periods. Now thinking about it I want it to be a boy, I can't deal with a girl growing up in the house. The periods, no!"

Becca switched her mind after explaining some of her opinions

"Oh Quinn and Daniel and Nathaniel be lucky and happy you don't have your period right now or ever"

Melania proclaimed

"Well I have a baby growing inside of me, I don't know which is worse"

"Baby, they suck all they do is cry. Now I know you want to be a mother but this is just my opinion"

Beth announced

"Can we stop talking about this"

Nathaniel disclosed

"Do you not like talking about periods"

Sage giggled

"It's not that, I just can't deal with blood"

"What Nathaniel, the bad boy, the race-car driver, the man afraid of nothing, the legend, is afraid of blood. Shocked, I am shocked"

Beth laughed

"Says the one who is afraid of spiders and insects"

Nathaniel hit back

"They are creepy ok, they have like ten thousand legs and ew, I'm getting terrified thinking about this"

"See"

Nathaniel commented

"Fuck off"

Beth barked at Nathaniel before jumping back into the lake again

"Umm Beth you have to wait ten minutes before swimming after eating"

Sage told her

"I didn't eat, plus I don't believe in that stupid shit"

Beth declared. Sage then gave Beth a full paragraph on why she should believe in this stuff, while everyone else just sat there listening.

The time went by so fast for everyone that at one moment it was daytime and the next the moon was up in the sky reflecting onto the shimmering water. Everyone lay on the shore looking up, dreaming about what was next to come.

"This is the best birthday"

Beth whispered under her breath. No one caught it but they all knew it. On that day they realized subconsciously or consciously they had something or someone to live for, to see the next day and to smile. The birds in the trees were chirping in silence, no one other than the birds were talking but they knew they all had each other now.

Sage's eyes got heavier and so she rested her head onto Melania's heart and took a nap, the whale time Melania's eyes were on Sage, protecting her. Quinn, Daniel and Becca were sitting on a bench. They weren't doing anything just sitting in silence, occasionally looking at each other and letting out a giggle. Beth was looking up into the Sky, like Nathaniel. Unknown to the two of them they slowly were moving towards each other, and soon enough Beth was lying in Nathaniel's arms but they were both sleeping.

"Ok, its nine I think we should wake everyone up and get back home"

Becca declared

"No, I'll carry them to the car, let them sleep. I'll then also carry them to their beds"

Daniel told them

"Get the car closer so it's easier to carry"

Daniel instructed

"I'll help you Daniel, Quinn you get the car"

Becca decided

"I'm fine with that"

Quinn assured, and so Quinn got the car and drove it closer to the entrance. Daniel and Becca got to work carrying the others to the car and so the car ride back started.

"I'm way to tired"

Quinn yawned

"God Quinn you don't need to fulfill the stereotype of gays being terrible at driving. Why did we let her drive Daniel, why"

Becca groaned

"Hey I'm not terrible at driving I'm just not the best"

Quinn admitted

"I agree Becca we are never letting Quinn drive ever again. Nathaniel, Melania and you are the only ones who I'm allowing to drive"

Becca told Daniel

"I agree. I hope we survive this"

"Don't be so dramatic"

Quinn opened her mouth too make it look like she was hurt

"Eyes on the road sister, eyes on the road"

Becca instructed

"Geez, I'm already doing that"

"No your not, I would ask to switch places but I'm sure me and Daniel are over the legal drinking limit"

"Yeah that champagne was too good"

"I can't add anything into this conversation, other than the fact that it's your fault if you two weren't alcoholics you wouldn't be complaining about my driving and instead you would be driving and would have never experienced my not the best driving"

"Turn up the radio I don't want to hear your voice"

Becca instructed. Quinn rolled her eyes and turned up the radio.

"Today is the birthday of Beth, one of teens who is being searched for. We also have more updates on the searches. The sighting of Sage in New York is still being looked into but the police believe that the sighting was false but are still looking in to make sure no stone is left unturned. The blood of Nathaniel in Oregon has been found more of. His blood was found splattered alongside the trail. Some hikers have volunteered to hike the whole three week trail making sure nothing is wrong. The car in Las Vegas with the license plate was found to not have an owner so its being smashed as we speak"

"Don't tell Nathaniel that"

Becca interrupted, the radio host continued:

"No prints of anyone were found in that car, car experts say that they think the car hasn't been driven in five years. So the government decided to smash it. We are also getting reports that someone says they saw Beth Fletcher at a gas station. The police looked at the footage and said it is her, the car wasn't seen but the worker says Beth looked very nervous and had bruises all over her. No one else was with Beth, she used cash that had some rips in it. It seems like Beth might have been taken considering she had bruises and looked like she hadn't eaten in a few days. The radio station ended before throwing on a song. The three looked at each other and sang to the music.

Once they finally arrived at home Becca and Daniel carried everyone to their beds. Becca and Quinn changed the girls while Daniel changed Nathaniel into more comfortable clothes and then they themselves hit bed and immediately slept. The house was quiet and everyone was smiling in their sleep. The birds were sleeping, the animals, the town was sleeping. All lights were off. The only sound was the sound of the river rushing down the stream. The sky was clear and you could see stars shining. No cars were on and the streets were dead. The highway a few minutes away was having the occasional car speeding down but other than that it was also silent. The world was at peace for that one night, a night even day would never be able to replace or replicate.
