"Any more updates"

Becca asked a doctor who had just walked out of Beth's room

"Are you family"

He asked

"Well we all live together and her parents are in England"

Becca struggled to answer

"I understand what you are saying but are any of you in a relationship with her because otherwise I sadly can't let you in"

Becca looked around and saw Nathaniel

"That guy over there is engaged to her"

Becca smiled at him, he smiled back

"Ok, follow me to my office all of you"

Becca jumped up and down and then gestured that everyone should follow the doctor

"Ok what do you think she said for us to get in here"

Melania asked

"Well you have to be family, so other she said we were all family or she said"

Quinn started and then gestured at Nathaniel. Melania laughed and agreed.

"Ok so I know you all aren't family but you guys seem very close, so Aurora is just out of surgery and the next day is very crucial for her life. She's in a coma and we are feeding her and everything. The bullet is out and everything was successful now it's just up to her now. I would now advise you guys to go home you've been here all day and you guys really need to rest, I'll take one of your numbers to call if something changes or happens, you guys are also allowed into her room now but during visitor hours"

He explained to the group, Becca quickly scribbled down her number, gave it to the doctor and then they all went back out to the corridor.

"He's right we should go home, clean up the blood and shower, Quinn you're back in my room I guess"

Becca told everyone

"I'm with Becca"

Nathaniel agreed

"No, we need to be here for Beth. She's in a critical condition we need to be here for her"

Sage argued

"Sage, we get it, we all want to be here for her but we can't change anything. If something happens the doctor will inform us if anything happens. She would want us to leave her alone, she would want us to take care of ourselves. We can come back tomorrow"

Melania hugged Sage and Sage dug her head into Melania's shoulder. Sage quietly whispered

"Fine"

"Sure let's go back we all need to relax"

Quinn echoed, so with heads down they all drove back to the house. Quinn and Becca moved all of Quinns stuff back to Quinn's old room. Sage went to the kitchen to make everyone dinner. Melania got the cleaning supplies and started cleaning up Beth's blood. Daniel called Francis and Daniel left to go out to dinner with Francis. Nathaniel got all the things out of Elizabeth's car and brought them into his old room.

"Dinners ready"

Melania yelled and everyone slowly came to the dinner table

"Well at-least nothing went wrong with the surgery"

Sage smiled, everyone started at here

"Ok, I'm just trying to be positive so maybe you guys should try that too"

Sage snapped

"The bloods off the floor as well so it doesn't look like this was the place of a murder"

Melania added

"Well it kinda was"

"Nathaniel, do not say that she is not dead you fucking idiot"

Becca screamed

"Geez sorry, I'm just trying to make everyone laugh. A bit of humor didn't kill anyone"

"God Nathaniel just shut up you aren't helping at all, just. Just shhh"

Becca begged. Nathaniel laughed before shutting up.

"Good"

Melania laughed. They talked a bit about stuff and there was a conversation about someone sleeping in Beth's room but they all decided against it due to common decency. Everyone ate and once they were done they went into their rooms. They all were sad and not in the mood for anything. Soon they all went to sleep. Eventually Daniel came home and also went to sleep, but Nathaniel couldn't sleep. Eventually he decided to get changed and go out. He walked throughout the city and eventually ended up at the hospital. It was 2am at this point but he didn't care, he walked into the hospital and asked if he could see her. First they said no but after a bit of convincing he was allowed up to her room.

"God Beth, why did you run in front of me. I could have easily moved out of the way. You didn't have to get shot. You don't need to sacrifice your life for me, I can easily deal with myself. Plus I think everyone likes you more than me, so everyone wouldn't be as sad as they are now. Everyone is broken. They are all heartbroken. Beth we need you here, I mean you own the house but we need you, you bring light inside of the house. You make everyone happy and despite you being mean sometimes to certain people but always make people happy. I mean look how many times you've made me smile and you hate me. How many times we've laughed together in the past two months. I can't believe it's been two months since we left Beverly Hills, so much has changed. I remember when we were younger and you always dreamed of going to the countryside somewhere, I'm surprised you actually did it. You know I'm super sorry that I told you to kill yourself and I regret it every single day and I know sorry can never change what I said, but I still want to say I am deeply sorry. I regret everything I said that day, I could have handled everything differently but I didn't, I mean you told me you didn't want to leave our friend group but I pressured you and it's my fault why we fell out hell I probably had something to do with the fact that you barely eat, I've probably got to do with so many things that you do and did. When we had that talk by the motel was one of my favorite days because you weren't mad at me, you just laughed with me, but then I fucked up again like I do every-time we finally get to a speaking situation, I always fuck up. In everything that I do and I'm surprised you were even friends with me for so long, that you were by my side and were there for me and supported me but I never did that same to you, you were like my cheerleader. But I wasn't yours. God if I could I would change everything. I would go back in time and do everything different, I would be the best friend, the friend you need. Like Daniel. I'm so happy you have Daniel, he's an amazing friend. You are so lucky to have him as your best friend. I mean he's super nice and kind, he always listens. He's feeling helpless right now, He was with Francis but you could tell he is shattered right now. You know I had a dream a few days ago that you were married with a rich mayor, had four kids, you seemed happy though, and it broke me to know that you were together with someone else and that I ruined everything because I'm a shitty person, can't say sorry and I just fuck everything up that I touch. And I was there married to Elizabeth, the worst part was that you seemed so happy. Then I woke up but it was still in my dream and I was married to you but you were so unhappy and then you left me for someone else and I, I think that's exactly what's going to happen in real life. We already fucked up in our friendship so how will we ever be in a relationship. We probably won't even get together because you hate me. But I don't yeah we have our fights and those fights are loud and loud. But for some reason you always seem to kinda forgive me. I don't even know why half the time, the amount of times I've done something horrifying and you still talk to me after a few days. You once asked me why I call you love, I didn't tell you because honestly there are so many reasons and at the time I didn't know my reason was love just suits you. But I thought about it for a while and I realized it's because I love how it annoys you and I love you and that scares me to death, I'm scared that I'm not good enough for you, I'm probably not. I'm afraid that I'll never be able to give you what you want, I know there's so many things that you want in life that I don't know if I can give you. You would always say how much you wanted one child, you want to achieve big in life and I'm just an anchor in your life. God I don't even know why I'm telling you this I mean you are in a coma and you won't hear this which is a good thing because you wouldn't know that I like you because you probably don't like me. What's to like anyway. You know my parents really missed you when you stopped coming around and eventually they forced me to tell what happened, and I actually told them everything. I got into so much trouble for saying and doing what I did, my parents were so mad. They hated me for it, well not really but they wouldn't let me do anything because I let the best thing in my life slip away. My grandpa would have also shunned me. I was also telling my grandma that you always wanted to go shopping with her and she was ecstatic but I fucked up. My family loves you. Sometimes I think they love you more than me. When we were still friends they saw you as family. I think the best part was when like a year after the fight your parents went over to mine and they were talking about how excited they were for our families to come one. When I heard that I laughed saying something like 'Eww me getting together with Beth I would rather die' looking back at that I laughed who would have thought I would want to get together with you four years later. You know it's so weird that we're seniors now. You're legally an adult now you, time goes by so fast. Actually when my grandma passed she said I should try to become your friend again because apparently you changed me for the better. I was nicer and kinder. You could annoy me more easily when I was around you apparently because I was calmer and more forgiving"

Nathaniel opened his heart out and spoke from his heart. He continued pouring his heart out and telling her all the stuff he wanted to get out of his chest. Nathaniel let out a big yawn, he looked over to the clock on the wall, it said 4am. He didn't want to go home so sat down on the floor and laid his head on Beth's hospital bed and fell asleep.

"Does anyone know where Nathaniel is?"

Daniel asked walking out of his room

"No, I haven't seen him since last night"

Melania asked

"Why is he not here"

Quinn asked as well

"No, I saw him when I came home at around twelve"

Daniel answered

"I'll text him"

"Becca don't talk while you have food in your mouth, I don't want to see your chewed up food"

Sage complained, Becca quickly swallowed

"Sorry. I'll text him"

Becca repeated, she grabbed out her phone and asked him where he was. He didn't answer but everyone knew that he was probably going to be fine. So everyone deicided to go to the hospital to see how Beth was. They all got ready and then left. Once they opened the door they saw Nathaniel sleeping on the floor with his head on Beths bed.

"Well we found him"

Becca whispered

"Really, couldn't tell"

Melania sassed

"Should we wake up Nathaniel"

Quinn whispered

"I call waking him up"

Daniel laughed quietly

"If you guys are going to wake him up I'm going to leave, so who wants coffee"

Sage explained, and so everyone said their coffee orders so Sage and Melania who volunteered to come, went to order some coffee from the cafeteria.

"Can we stay a bit longer because I'm kinda scared of angry Nathaniel, he's like Beth. They are blinded by their anger when made angry"

Sage confided

"I see myself as someone who doesn't get scared easily but I'm terrified as well"

Melania agreed

"I wonder what he was doing in Beth's room"

Sage wondered

"Yes, like why did no one question it. He was sleeping in Beth's room next to her, why didn't no one mention this"

"He's probably worried"

"Yeah most likely. He acts like he doesn't care but we all know"

"Of course he cares, he's got a soft spot for her but hides it by being mean to her just like in my books when the mean mafia dude who everyone is afraid of finds a girl who he's nice to and everyone wonders why"

"Of course that's who he is minus the mafia at least I think he's not part of the mafia"

"He's not part of the mafia, there's no way"

"Who knows"

"Stop it Melania ok just stop scaring me"

"You get scared to easily its adorable"

"You're not wrong, of course I'm adorable"

Melania laughed and they both ordered the coffees and slowly walked back to the room

"I'm going to murder all of you"

They heard Nathaniel yell from down the corridor, they both looked at each other and laughed

"We brought coffee"

Melania laughed

"Why are you laughing"

Nathaniel sneered

"Well it's funny you know because you are yelling, ok you know what this isn't funny at all"

Melania continued laughing, they gave everyone coffee and waited for the doctor to come in to give them updates. The doctor came in saying that there were no new updates but because she survived the first night it's very likely that she would survive. Everyone sighed a sigh of relief. They then spent the next three hours at the hospital, talking to Beth making sure nothing would happen. The next two weeks were like this, they would wake up, eat, go to the hospital to check up on Beth, go home, eat, sleep, repeat.

"Where are you taking me"

Melania laughed

"It's a surprise"

Sage giggled

"I see what you're doing"

Melania pointed out. Sage was running somewhere gripping tightly onto Melania's hand. Till they arrived to a small garden surrounded by flowers

"Well this is nice'

Melania stated

"Well ummm Beth will probably kill me if I don't do this because yeah so umm there's- I should- I should say something. I know I'm... Me... but I like you!"

Sage smiled, Melania looked shocked

"I'm taken aback, honestly surprised."

Melania started

"Ohhh"

Sage looked down

"I thought I was going to have to say it first"

They finished. Melania leaned in and kissed Sage.
