"I came as fast I as I could"

Daniel raced into the hospital. Quinn and Becca were standing next to each other, Sage and Melania were sitting next to each other. Nathaniel was nowhere to be seen.

"What happened"

He asked

"Well we were in the room and she flatlined"

Becca told him

"I thought you couldn't die in a coma"

Daniel gasped

"Yeah the doctor said she was stable and we should try to take her off the coma and so we did. She was fine for the first two hours and then this happened"

Becca explained

"Why did you guys do that, why you, you, Beth"

Daniel broke down

"This day is the worst"

Daniel sniffled

"Hey Daniel come on I'll calm you down"

Melania offered, and she took him outside

"I get ten dollars"

Quinn whispered over to Becca

"Why"

Becca whispered back. Quinn looked at Becca dumbly

"Really, wait how do you know"

Becca finally realized what Quinn was hinting at

"Sage and Melania told everyone how did you not hear them, I am surprised you surprise me even more every single day"

Quinn laughed

"Where's Nathaniel, I haven't seen him since we got here"

Becca asked

"He left as soon as we got here, so I dunno"

Quinn answered. Becca shrugged, suddenly the door to Beth's room opened.

"Maybe they have helped her"

Becca sighed, but she spoke too early they saw two other doctors rush into Beth's room.

"Well"

Quinn laughed

"Guys umm Melania said we should all go outside to breathe some fresh air and to relax and get away from this stressful situation"

Sage interrupted their laughs

"Yeah that's a good idea"

Quinn nodded, and so the three girls left to go outside to the hospital garden. There they saw Melania, Daniel and Nathaniel sitting on a bench. They strolled up to them, Nathaniel stood up for Quinn to sit down and so Nathaniel, Becca sat on the floor in front of the bench. Sage was about to sit down but Melania told her to sit on her lap so she didn't get her dress dirty. Quinn looked at Becca dumbly

"You are an asshole Quinn"

Becca blurted out

"What did she do this time"

Nathaniel laughed

"Hey I have never done something mean to you"

Quinn defended

"So Melania and Sage you guys are going to love this, so me and Quinn made a bet about who would initiate your relationship and now Quinn whenever Sage and Melania do anything remotely cute she looks at me in this stupid face to prove that she was right"

Becca told the group

"What was the bet about"

Nathaniel laughed

"Well who would initiate the relationship Nathaniel I just said that you idiot"

Becca howled, the rest of the group burst out in laughter other than Nathaniel who was just shaking his head.

"I hate all of you"

Nathaniel put up his two middle fingers

"Nathaniel there are children around"

Quinn gritted through her teeth

"Where all I see is little brats"

Nathaniel snickered

"Sage"

Melania whispered

"Mhhh"

Sage sleepily whispered back

"Go to sleep, you seem very tired"

Melania whispered, Sage shut her eyes and fell asleep on Melania's shoulder. Melania looked up and saw everyone staring at her.

"What?"

She asked

"You guys are to cute"

Quinn giggled

"I was encouraging her to sleep, she looked very tired"

Melania defended

"So are you guys together or?"

Becca asked

"Next question. But seriously we haven't put a label on it, we decided we are going to go on a few dates and see how that turns out"

Melania told the group

"How adorable"

Quinn chuckled

"Get your own love lives to obsessive over"

Melania annoyingly said

"Well there was a guy I liked and he was flirting with me or that's what I got out of it and I found out he has a girlfriend"

Daniel blurted out

"What did he say when he was flirting"

Quinn was intrigued

"Like at one point he said that a girl was as pretty as me, he started to blush when I said I loved him mind you I said that friendly in context of I love you for wanting to eat with me after we ate lots of food. He held my hand when I could have walked myself. And maybe this is just me but I see these things as low key flirting but is no one going to comment on me saying I like a boy"

Daniel told them

"Well first off I see that as flirting what you just told me, and second well when I came out I hated people telling me congrats and what not I hated it so I guess I'm not doing the same to you"

Becca explained

"I don't want to stop this conversation because it's nice but does anyone have any updates on Beth"

Nathaniel interrupted

"Oh yeah it's fine go on we can talk about your love life not mine"

Daniel chuckled

"Well when we left two more doctors went into her room"

Becca told Nathaniel

"So let's talk about Nathaniel"

Daniel laughed

"Can we not I'm good just continue talking about Daniel"

Nathaniel pushed the conversation

"No, no so what do you think Nathaniel and Beths ship name is going to be"

Becca laughed

"Me and Beth won't ever get together we don't need to talk about this"

Nathaniel tried his hardest to stop everyone from talking about him but I didn't work

"Betthnial"

Quinn laughed

"No, no no Behainel"

Melania burst out

"Nathanth"

Daniel chuckled

"Bathaniel"

Becca died from laughter

"I have the best one Neth"

Quinn continued laughing, Nathaniel just shook his head, rolling his eyes. He then just stood up and went inside

"I think we pissed him off"

Melania snorted

"Beth would have hated all of these names"

Daniel stated

"Ok but I think we can agree on Neth"

Becca told and everyone else agreed

"So does anyone want to go inside and check up on Beth and Nathaniel"

Quinn added, everyone said yes and so they all stood up and walked inside, Melania placed Sage beside them so they could stand up and pick up Sage. Melania then carried Sage inside to meet up with the others. She then sat down on a chair next to Beth's room with Sage on her lap. Nathaniel who was sitting on one of the chairs groaned when he saw them come.

"Don't be so sad"

Becca laughed

"I hate all of you"

Nathaniel groaned

"Can someone like maybe knock or go to the receptionist to ask for updates"

Daniel brought up

"Anything to get away from all of you"

Nathaniel stood up and walked down the hall to the receptionist and asked for some updates

"Hi, do you have any updates for Aurora"

Nathaniel asked the lady sitting there

"What's your relation to her"

Nathaniel groaned

"I hate you Becca"

He whispered

"I'm her fiancé, Charles"

He smiled, filled with rage inside

"Not to be rude but you seem a little to young to be getting engaged"

She pointed out

"We've been together since we were 14 and we are now 21"

"Oh that's adorable. So I know you have your friends here but only you are allowed to go inside and sign some things and once you've said they can go inside they can. She isn't awake but they brought her back"

Nathaniel sighed, at weight was lifted

"The doctors are still inside but you can go inside"

The receptionist finished. Nathaniel then went back and told the others what happened and then he went into the room.

"Ah Charles, so we need you to sign these forms"

The doctor passed Nathaniel a clipboard with forms and a pen. Nathaniel sat down on Beth's bed and signed all the forms.

"So you probably already heard it but if you want the others can come in if you want"

The doctor told him before leaving the room, Nathaniel followed and told the others they could come in. Everyone trampled Nathaniel on trying to get in. He walked over to Melania who was still sitting there with Sage on her lap and he picked her up and brought Sage in the room

"Thank you for doing that I don't know if my weak arms could carry her anymore"

Melania thanked

"Yeah you looked like you couldn't"

The group crowded around her and for the next two weeks they would come and check up on her everyday. Sage and Melania had been on two dates, they hadn't made it official yet but they were clearly head over hills. Daniel had never spoken with Francis since Daniel left the apartment, he still had to figure out his sexuality but he wasn't denying it anymore. Quinn was getting ready to birth her child, she didn't want to find out the gender because she wanted it to be a surprise. Everyone had ended up building a crib in Becca and Quinn's room and were decorating a room that so far has been for storage room neutral. Becca had multiple times asked if she could move to another room once the baby was born but they decided to stay in a room together so that Becca could help and that Becca wouldn't sleep on a couch. Becca was also drinking less because of what everyone had said to her, she had drank four times in the past two weeks. Nathaniel was spending more time with himself, he was going jogging more and had started meditating to help keep him calm and emotions in check. He had started to go to the hospital way more than he used to, he would update Beth on everything that happened and tell her funny stories. Everyone had made a decision that when Beth wakes up they would get a cat as celebration.

After two weeks Nathaniel was sitting in the hospital next to Beth, Becca and Melania were doing some stuff for their shop back at home, Daniel was helping Sage with her shop and Quinn was doing school and telling everyone they should also get started. When Beth started to move, Nathaniel freaked out and immediately grabbed a nurse. He sat on a chair inside her room watching her slowly wake up. He smiled to himself, he hoped that she couldn't hear him while in the coma.

"Na, Na, Nathaniel"

He heard a weak voice coming from the bed

"Hey Love, are you ok?"

He stroked her hair behind her ear, the nurse left the room to give them some privacy

"No, I got shoot, you fucking asshat"

"And I'm going to murder you for that"

"Well, that's not at all comforting"

"Why did you get shot, I could have easily moved out of the side, then no one would have gotten injured. What was running through your head"

"I'm sorry ok it was an impulse. Where is everyone"

"At home, as your fiancé I needed to come in to sign some papers"

"Fiancé, me and you"

Beth snorted

"I would rather die"

Beth laughed

"You think I wanted that Love, does it look like I would want to marry you."

Nathaniel laughed hiding his pain

"but Becca had to give a connection and she thought it would be nice for us to be together. By the way you called me Nathaniel in front of the nurse, so have fun trying to get yourself out of that situation."

Nathaniel finished while grabbing out his phone and texting everyone that Beth was awake.

"I texted everyone to come, so I'm going to get myself some food. Have fun!"

"Nathaniel don't leave me here and he's gone"

Beth laid in her hospital room for ten minutes before the door burst open as everyone came flooded in

"Have you guys seen Nathaniel I want to murder that motherfucker"

Beth hissed

"Well it's nice to see you too, Beth"

Daniel smiled

"Yeah I know it's lovely to see all of you but that fucker left me alone here. So if it's cool I'm going to kill him"

Beth threatened

"I wouldn't find it that cool, Love"

Nathaniel yawned walking into the room

"Nathaniel, why did you leave her here alone"

Quinn questioned

"Well only one of us is allowed to sign any paperwork and from what I can tell it's me"

Nathaniel informed

"That didn't mean you had to leave me alone, you, you, you asshat"

Nathaniel chuckled a bit at what Beth had just said

"Well can you walk, cause last time I checked the nurse told you to stay in bed for the next few days"

Nathaniel yawned

"You were listening?"

Beth asked

"No I just happened to over hear it"

Nathaniel smirked

"The tension in here, you could cut it with a knife"

Becca whispered over to Quinn and they both burst out laughing.

"So Love you can leave the hospital in three days if everything runs smoothly, so don't fuck up anything and your good"

Nathaniel continued during Becca and Quinn's laughter outburst

"Right, cause I do stupid shit"

Beth hissed through her teeth

"You did jump in front of a bullet, so you're on probation Love"

Nathaniel pointed out, Beth stuck up her middle finger at Nathaniel.

"So can you guys catch me up on everything that happened"

Beth squealed as Nathaniel searched up for cats they should get.
