Detective Kebe looked over their Queen's shoulder as she rechecked her papers. Detective Kebe recognised the document as our opening remarks, which would be directed to the Judges.

The Superintendent called out, "The accused will stand to enter a plea to the court." Slowly, the three accused stood unsteadily. Each of them stared contemptously at the court.

The Senior Clerk addressed the accused. "Honourable Abdul Olajide Jimoh, Honourable Abiodun James Faleke, you are collectively charged with murder in the first degree, accessory to murder, extortion, human trafficking, bribery of Government Officials. How do you plead?"

One by one the accused loudly replied, "Not Guilty!"

The Senior Clerk ordered them to sit and called on the Chief Prosecutor to outline its case. Queen gathered her papers and stood. She began reciting her brief, which summarized the evidence I had gathered.
