The Mythical City

“At least one week of inactivity, but it is not broken” sentenced a young paramedic. 


Wounds to the knees of Marcelo were cured and bandaged, as well as some abrasions Francisco and Huacman had. 


“All you will be evacuated by helicopter to Professor McPherson´s camp” said Gutierrez “ now they are carrying the wounded to a field hospital.” 


“ Thank you Mayor” answered Marcelo “ I have a question. May I ask it to you?” 


“How is it that they found the entrance to the caves?” 


“We were warned by captain Mayorga, of the police.” 


“By radio communications with you, I guess. I think that you gave your position by radio.” 


“ But we entered by another entry, the same one through which the irregulars escaped.” 


“I am sorry, I do not know what to say” the military looked bewildered “ Mayorga is intelligence, he might have other sources.” 


Francisco followed the conversation carefully. He approached Marcelo with discretion.
