Chapter 16
After following in Jack's footsteps for about ten blocks that separated the inn from the hotel where they were staying, Taro waited for the American to enter the small accommodation and stood in the shadows between two walls separated by a very short distance. There he waited until two men emerged from the inn and made their way to the hotel. The Japanese waited a few moments to make sure that no one was following them, and then stood behind them at a distance of a block and a half, so as not to lose sight of them but that his presence was not related to the other two. All the time his hand was squeezing dangerous concealed objects under his clothes.
