In a nice cabin in Thousand Oak, California, Sigmund is walking down the stairs. He gets to the bottom of the steps and turns to head down the hall to the kitchen. He enters the kitchen and sees his wife, Trine, finishing breakfast. He walks up to her and puts his arms around her. "I love you, my love," he says.
"I love you too," she answers and rubs her big belly. "I hope December comes soon so we can have our child," she says.
Sigmund puts his hands over Trine's pregnant belly, "I can't wait until we have our son." The two kiss, and Trine finishes making breakfast.
Later, Sigmund heads to Long Beach to get to work, and the sun starts to rise. He soon arrives at pINPOINt headquarters and parks his car. He gets out and enters the building. He heads up to his office, and as he goes around the corner, he bumps into a woman and papers fall to the floor.
"Oh, sorry about that, sir," she says, and they start to grab the papers off of the floor.
"It's ok," he says as he hands her the papers. "Oh, you are Maisie Berglund; you transferred here from the CIA back in September."
"Yes, sir. Oh, and Agent Alan Sutton is waiting for you up at your office."
"Thank you," he says and heads for the next floor. As he soon gets to the office, he sees his head technical specialist along with Ashton. "Ashton, Alan, need something?"
"Klaus was spotted," Ashton says.
"My technical specialists have managed to find him entering a house in Signal Hill by Hilltop Park."
"Good, have some suits head to the house and keep a look out," Sigmund orders.
"Already have some agents heading to the house," Ashton says.
"Good, good. Let's try and get him, ok? We need to capture him and turn him over to Interpol. Then, we can cross him off of the list for capturing him."
"Uh, Sigmund, we need to talk about who will be replacing me," Alan says, and Sigmund and Ashton look at him.
"Did you already pick?" Ashton asks.
"Yes, and I want to pick Agent Maisie Berglund. She is really great," he answers and hands Sigmund the file on Maisie. "She worked with the CIA for seven years, and she went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a teenager and graduated at a young age."
Sigmund sits back in his chair. "I met her in the hallway just now. Are you sure she will be best to lead for you?"
"Yes, and I am sure you'll agree once she starts next month when I retire."
Sigmund smiles. "Ok and anything else?"
"No, we'll keep our eyes on Klaus," Ashton says, and the two leave Sigmund's office.
Sigmund pulls out a file in his desk and places it on his desk. He opens it and starts to look at a photo of a seventeen-year-old boy. "This guy is the one that we need to keep an eye on," he says and puts the photo back.
That afternoon, Sigmund sits in one of the meeting rooms with the other team leaders of the Southern California pINPOINt. One of the leaders has a file open and is talking about a case. "My team and I found out that there is a new shipment coming in from Santiago, Chile. The shipments are new weapons that are mere prototypes. The Gustafsson family is one of those buying the new shipments. They were stolen from the Chilean Army, and the weapons were supposed to head to Washington DC. But once they were last seen at a military base in Dominican Republic, we managed to trace them heading to California," he finishes.
"Good job Justin, and be sure to keep the NCIS informed," Sigmund says, and Justin nods and close his file. "So far, we all have been keeping up with all of our cases. So far over in Hawaii, there is a task force that came across a case that is linked to us. We don't have a pINPOINt Headquarters there yet, so we are going to try and assist them in this case." Sigmund grabs a remote and clicks a button, and the screen behind him turns on. A photo of a man appears on the screen. "This guy is a member of a gang that is from Baja, California, a gang that we been working a case on for a while, and they are called the Dark Skull Bashers. The gang has been on our watch for a year and a half. A member was caught by the task force in Hawaii. The director asked me to send a team out to Hawaii to work with the task force. I would have it be my team, but my team is already busy. So," he turns to a woman. "Mable, your team will be going and taking care of this. Your team has had to deal with some of the gang members before." Mable nods, and Sigmund hands her the file. "Your team will leave tomorrow at seven hundred hours." Sigmund continues the meeting for a while and promptly ends it.
Later that afternoon, he arrives at his brother, Gudmund's, house. He rings the doorbell, and an eight-year-old girl opens the door. "Uncle Sigmund," she calls out and hugs him.
"Hey, is your dad home?" he greets her.
"Yep," she answers and pulls his hand as they walk into the house. "Daddy, Uncle Sigmund is here," she calls out as they enter the living room.
Gudmund looks up and sees his brother. Gudmund gets up and walks to his brother. "Sigmund, what do we owe to this visit? You remember my friend, Derek Fischer," he introduces Derek to Sigmund.
Sigmund shakes Derek's hand, "Yes, you are Officer Fischer of Long Beach Police Department."
"Well I just became detective last week, and nice to meet you again," Derek says and turns to Gudmund. "I got to get going, see you later," Derek says as he and Gudmund shake hands.
After Derek leaves, Sigmund turns to Gudmund, "So, you called for me to stop by."
"Yeah, since Aurora and I are going to be having a second child next month, I decided that I might leave the army."
Sigmund raises an eyebrow. "Leave the army?"
"I've been thinking about joining pINPOINt, and I was just talking to Irene. She says she's thinking about doing the same. Her husband works up in San Francisco, and pINPOINt is also there, too."
Sigmund smiles. "That is a great idea, but didn't dad say that you have to get a purple heart in order to leave? Because he'll ask for one when he asked me if I got one when I left."
Gudmund smiles back. "I remember. Dad did say that the life in the military is a life you should keep living until you die. But I want to be home with my wife, my daughter, and my second soon-to-be-born child."
"Please, tell me what you guys are having. It's killing Trine." Sigmund crosses his arms.
"I'll tell you the same thing I told her," Aurora says walking into the living room and up to them. "You'll find out next month once the baby is born."
Sigmund laughs, "Ok, ok, but why don't you guys want to know what you are having?"
Gudmund puts his arm around Aurora's shoulder. "We want to be surprised of what we are going to get. Mom and dad didn't check what we were going to be. Dad did say that whatever he was going to have, the baby will be in the military, no matter what."
Then, Astrid runs up to her parents and settles between them. They grab her hands, and she smiles up at them. "Sigmund, we didn't care what we were going to have when Astrid was born, and we still don't care what we are going to have," Aurora says, and Sigmund smiles.
"Ok, I'll tell her that," Sigmund says, and Gudmund walks him out. As they go outside, he asks, "When do you plan on leaving the army?"
"Not sure yet, as I am currently on leave until September, and then I head back out," Gudmund answers, "After I helped with Operation Neptune Spear with the SEAL, my commanding officer asked me to join up with some more teams. Irene was there with me too, as she is a SEAL as well."
"Wow, more work for you two, just like I did," Sigmund says as they reach his car.
"Yep, I am sure dad is the one pulling the strings to have me and Irene work hard. I am going to be shipped to Northwest Pakistan."
Sigmund puts his hand on his brother shoulder, "I'll see you the day you ship out again. And please come back to us safe so you can be with your wife and kids." Gudmund smiles, the two salute, and Sigmund gets into his car and drives off.
As Sigmund is on his way back to Thousand Oak, his cell rings. He looks at the caller ID, and it's Hakon. "Hey Hakon, what's up?"
"I got some details on Klaus; he has something big going down later this month. From my CI, he has been talking to leaders of other crime organizations. He is doing something big; I have already alerted the President of the General Assembly."
"Thanks, and I'll call you when I need help," Sigmund says before hanging up.
Soon, he arrives home and parks into the garage. He walks into the house and is greeted by Trine, "Hey sweetie, how was work today?"
"It was lots of meetings, but one of the teams managed to complete a case. I just need to send it to the FBI," he answers and gives his wife a kiss. "I stopped by Gudmund's house; they still won't say what they are having."
"Aw, well at least we know we are having a boy," she says as she rubs her belly. "I hope December comes soon so we can have our son in our arms."
Sigmund smiles. "So how was work for you?"
"It was nice; I got a case that involved a man that tried to kill his ex-wife. His ex-wife is a member of the FBI. He says that she cheated him out of the divorce by taking everything he owns. I read over that case and met both divorce lawyers. The ex-husband's lawyer told me that the reason why he lost was because of what he did in the court room. The lawyer quit, and the judge allowed the wife to take everything. But the wife took pity on her husband and left him the house." Trine grabs a file and hands it to Sigmund, and he looks in it.
"Wow, this guy has a long rap sheet," he says, and Trine agrees. "He has been in and out of rehabs a lot. How long were they married?"
"About three years. The wife had enough of him and left him," she says, taking the file back. "Oh, by the way, this was on my desk today." She hands him another file.
Sigmund opens it up and looks through it. "Good, this is what I need for Klaus. Soon we can put him away for life and shut down his crime organization." He looks at his wife and smiles. "We make a very good team."
Trine smiles, "Yep, and soon our team will be even bigger."
Sigmund kisses her and retreats to his office. He sets the file down on his desk and starts to copy it onto the computer. After a while, he finishes downloading some information onto a flash drive. He pulls out the flash drive and sets it on the desk. He then pulls out a paper and starts to write a message down in Norwegian. Then, he folds up the message and puts the message and flash drive into a metal box.
