27.A Marvelous Kill!

[[27.A Marvelous Kill!]]

[[Kurome's POV]]

~

I watched as the woman chocked on her own blood, something I hadn't actually meant to do. I had wanted to cut her head off, but she was able to dodge the Ricky's blade, but not all. However, the tip got deep enough to cut her trachea, as that's how it looks like, and now she was nearly dead from both the blood loss and and the lack of air.

And, with the final person in the current bandit group dead, I sighed in disappointment. After having decimated 11 bandit groups, this group being the 11th, I had yet to find a challenge. Every bandit I had met until now were so week a single Class 3 Danger Beast could make quick work of them, if they were fighting with a group of 10.

Fortunately for me, I didn't have to have to deal with most of the bandit groups, since I had used my puppets to cause a distraction and kill as much as they can. And, for the moment, I took a breather.

As I sat on a log, I watched how Vicky ate the corpses of the bandits, and all I have to say is, I found a kindred spirit in this one. She doesn't make much sounds, loves Derierei-onee-sama, and has been eating all the bandit corpses that I left, around 71 bandits since we started, and even I could tell that a normal Land Tiger wouldn't be able to even eat 10 humans and still be fine.

Then, after a while of watching the smoke from the distance grow darker and bigger, I finally felt rested and went back to massacring the bandits.

Finally, after an hour, I was able to find the bandit's leader, and it wasn't actually a surprise that he had a powerful weapon, a Shingu that was a gauntlet-type. I didn't know what it's abilities were, and that's why I had my Class 2 Danger Beast: Marg Condor puppet, fight him, to observe his strength and weaknesses.

And, as he kept cursing and inquiring about how high level Danger Beasts at his remaining bandit henchmen, I watched as the marg condor kept flying around them and kept sending them burst of electricity. It wasn't fatal enough to kill them, but should cause complications with their response and muscles.

"Hachacha! Get behind me! Chuchu! Get'a clear shot'f'it!" The bandit leader commanded as he aimed his Shingu at the marg condor puppet.

"Chuchu! Ya ready!?" The palm of his gauntlet, where there was a bright light on it, began to shine even more.

"Yeah! I'mma shoot't now!" Chuchu, the woman wielding a bow, answered. Then, a moment later, she shot an arrow towards the Danget Beast puppet, hitting it in the middle of its chest. At first, I thought it was a futile attempt, but seconds later, I could faintly see something being released from the arrow. I was a bit confused, but after moving my gaze to the marg condor's chest and to the bandit leader, confused by his plan, I suddenly had an idea of what his Shingu could do.

So, before he could fire off whatever the Shingu had at my puppet, I threw a throwing knife at him. And, as he was too focused at my puppet, it directly hit his unguarded stomach, just in time before the Shingu to fired off a laser beam, and with the unexpected pain, his aim went off course and the laser beam missed my marg condor.

And before anything else, I made the marg condor dive down to kill the Hachara person, while I come from behind them and kill the bandit leader.

So, when the marg condor came down onto the man wielding a soear behind the bandit leader, using its massive beak to peck at his face, the bandit leader screamed and was about ready to fire off another laser beam at my puppet, but I had quickly appeared in front of him, intending to pierce his heart by swinging my scythe from underneath me. However, since he had probably guessed that someone was here with them, he was prepared for my attack.

Which meant, instead of his heart getting pierced, the bandit leader was able to dodge my attack by bending backwards. However, unfortunately for him, I immediately put more force in my swing, causing me to spin mid air, and because of gravity, I was able to hit him through his stomach. Of course, there was resistance when half of the scythe's blade had penetrated his stomach, causing me to stop mid air. But I quickly moved to take my scythe out of him by landing on his knees and pulling Ricky out from inside him, opening up his stomach and chest cavity.

I immediately leapt off of him, and afterwards, when his body had finally fallen down, I sent my marg condor to the Charchar woman, and she couldn't even escape as my marg condor landed on top of her, who sent a point-blank electrical shock to the woman, stunning her before pecking her neck.

And, upon her death, a *Ding!* went through my head, and I immediately knew that I had killed enough of the former bandit community.

Then, swinging Ricky to shake off the blood staining it, I finally got a look at Derierei-onee-sama, who I hadn't been able to see since the beginning, sitting atop a branch, a wide, proud smirk visible on her lips. And, seeing that, I couldn't help but feel proud of myself.

After killing the bandit leader, I finally took off the rag-like tattered cloak. When I went to slaughter the bandits, Derierei-onee-sama gave me this, to not only hide my identity, but to also further me following the Grim Reaper's appearance. Although I understood the the reason, the cloak had been absorbing the blood of the bandits and the dirty grey cloak had turned blood red, and had also become very uncomfortable.

And so, I was now back in my old uniform, which had been magically cleaned and repaired by Derierei-onee-sama, which I am really grateful for. Though the uniform was given by the Empire, it still makes me feel nostalgic, making me remember my friends. I don't know if they're blessed or not to have died early, so that they wouldn't have to face more of the world's disgusting humans, or to not live their lives to the fullest.

But, for now, shaking my head to clear my head, Derierei-onee-sama and I continued to follow one of the bandits I left alive, who was running away from the mountains, and towards the village nearby.

So, for nearly 20 minutes, we watched as the man stumbled, go straight towards a tree, and injure himself as he relentlessly made his way to the village. We didn't know if it was for protection, to hide, or whatever, but with the way he was being, he was definitely going help us with what we had planned for him.

Then, when he finally reached the village, shouting and catching a lot of people attention, I re-equipped the bloody cloak -still uncomfortable-, and readied Ricky. And, once he was close to the village's entrance, all bloody and hysteric, catching more and more people's attention, and has been even helpfully informing them of what happened, though in a nearly incomprehensible way, I finally threw Ricky at him.

And, without him even noticing, Ricky had pierced his back, the blade going through his upper back and exiting from his left chest, most probably hitting his heart too. People from the village, had easily seen what happened, and were appropriately scared from the gruesome sight. Then, using the ability Ricky gave to its wielder, I was able to call it back to me, the scythe, and the body had followed with the scythe halfway, but had soon fallen off and fell to the ground.

The people of the village watched as the man had been pierced and killed, and had also watched what had happened next. Which meant all eyes were now all on me, massive scythe in hand, and a bloody, tattered cloak, all visible for them to see in the tree line.

I understandably frightened them, and that was the plan. So, after a moment of staying unmoving, I "disappeared" in place. Which definitely scared them off, and I was glad that °that° was all finished, allowing me to discard the cloak as I go deeper into the treeline, to Derierei-onee-sama.

"That was'a good p'rformance, Kuro-rin!" Derierei-onee-sama praised me, and the feeling of displeasure from having to wear that bloody cloak disappeared immediately just from that!

"Soon en'uf, Reaper's gonna be one'f do'se bedtime ste'ries fer kids to scare 'em." My pink-haired onee-sama said as she pulled me up onto Vicky's back. And, having safely straddled myself on Vicky's back, Derierei-onee-sama lightly kicked the land tiger's side, causing her to start moving forward. Though there were many trees in the way of Vicky's was, as a land tiger, she was nimble and flexible, easily avoiding the trees.

For the whole 1 and a half month, I continued to train with Ricky, kill multiple Class 2 Danger Beasts, slowly growing stronger to easily defeat a Class 1 Danger Beast without a sweat, and terrorize the whole northern region. It took me a whole 1 and a half month to finally spread my Reaper moniker! And with that was my completion of a proper Mission!

Which also meant that I finally had a high-quality magical cloak! It was red, to follow along how I was usually seen with, a bloody cloak, and it also wasn't made of just any material! Derierei-onee-sama had helpfully informed me that the fabric and leather were from a being stronger than a Super Class Danger Beast! Not only that, but it was also very comfortable!

Immediately, I wore the cloak, and I instantly felt safer than usual! Though it was both appealing and intimidating on the outside, the inside was smooth and warm! Derierei-onee-sama had also said that it could repair and clean itself! Of course, to be more specific, it could stitch itself back together. Truly a high-quality cloak!

And a plus to the self-cleaning ability was that the smell of blood wouldn't stick to it! Though I was getting better at wielding Ricky, actually, I already am quite proficient in scythe-wielding, dodging blood with a scythe was something I was still getting used to, so I usually, quite literally, bathe in the blood of my enemies.

Though I could just ask Derierei-onee-sama to magic away the stench and the blood, I, as the little sister, can't help but feel like I ask too much of my onee-sama. I know that she'd do a lot of things for me, but I still have my pride as an assassin, and being babied all the time wasn't good for my head.

"Lookin' sharp there Kuro-ri!" Derierei-onee-sama praised, and I just smiled as I twirled in place, causing the cloak to flap around.

"Cute too!" Onee-sama adds as she comes closer, placing a hand on my shoulder as I stopped twirling and face her. Looking up to her face, I stared into her eyes, and I feel warmer in my chest as I see the...affection in her eyes.

Derierei-onee-sama was really a wonderful person, and there's not a day where I'd say otherwise. Then, slowly, she lowers her face, and I rise to my tiptoes, meeting her halfway with her placing a kiss on my forehead. For a moment, we stayed like that, silent and relishing our connection, before breaking apart.

We both stared at each other again, and we started to laugh uncontrollably. Yes... Derierei-onee-sama truly is the best.

"Since we're dun' w'it the northern region, let's go to dis' one." As Derierei-onee-sama said that, a holo-screen appeared in front of me.

Reading my missions, I thought that the first one was relatively easy. Though most of the western region didn't have much to talk about, except that there was a village that had been trading with foreign nations, which my old team and I had eradicated. But I'm sure there were still some more villages trading with the foreign nations, which I was now actually curious to see. They might have imported foods!

Now, thinking about new delicacies I could taste, I was getting excited about going to the western region.

Also, the second mission may be a problem, but no worries, Derierei-onee-sama had helped me in the art of innocent airheaded persuasion. According to Derierei-onee-sama, acting cute, innocent, and airheaded would easily sway people -Derierei didn't mention that these "people" were all just actually women- and help persuade them. I didn't know how well it would work, but if Derierei-onee-sama said so, then I'll believe it!

And so, now determined to head to the western region, I immediately went and got on Vicky, who had been sleeping earlier. I had to go now, because even if Vicky went straight to the western region without resting, it would take nearly more than a week to reach there.

"We'll get us something to eat later, Vicky. For now, full speed ahead!" Using the navigation system in the mini-map, I pointed Vicky towards south-west, and she quickly began to run!

[A/N: Kurome will now start spreading her name in the Western region, where she'll meet old friends! Afterwards, doing some missions here and there, Akame Ga Kill cannon will start!

While Kurome was in the northern region, Night Raid began to form, which Kurome wouldn't know about since....

I don't really think much of what happened in the Empire were known by the villages outside, because Tatsumi and his village didn't know what happens inside, and outside, the Empire walls.

But anyway, though Night Raid was beginning to form and cause a ruckus in the Empire, Kurome wouldn't know that yet, so Kurome wouldn't know about Akame being part of it.

Still thinking about how I'll approach the Kurome and Akame reunion. I thought about them meeting when Night Raid attack Aria's family(the blonde crazy bitch in the first episode), and that Kurome wouldn't reveal herself, but still have a battle with Akame to check her strength.

Also, should Sayo and the guy be Kurome's followers? Or should Sayo only be Kurome's follower and whateva can happen to the guy.

Anyways, you could give me your thoughts and suggestions!]
