(Chapter 91) A Heart-To-Heart

Lewis was stunned into silence momentarily. Before seriously looking into Astrid's eyes "Why do you perceive yourself to be a monster?"

Astrid didn't reply, she looked down onto the table and at the food she had barely touched.

"The world can be perceived by two ranges by people. Good, or evil. With my actions I am undoubtedly evil. I have been called a monster, been called heartless, been called a demon. It never used to bother me in the past." Astrid spoke in a distant tone as she thought about her past life.

An experiment like her was ridiculed by many people. Even people who had no idea who she was. She was completely emotionless, goalless. And only lived to complete orders. It was how she grew up, how could she know any different?

But in this life. She felt freedom and free reign. Her normally stoic and emotionless mind was exposed to a normal life.

She started to act more human, despite not feeling anything while killing or ruining people's lives. She would carry guilt for the people who perceived her to be a good person.

"I guess that's true. You are undoubtedly not a good person Astrid." Lewis responded naturally, as he then started to stand up.

"Follow me, let me show you something." Lewis then smiled while looking down at Astrid. Giving her a different vibe than what he normally had when with her.

Astrid followed Lewis into his car he drove. Seeing Astrid go into Lewis's car so naturally, Winoa then parked the car at the closest base. And went to do some work for a while...

.......

Lewis drove to the main Guilliano mansion, instead this time, he went through the front door.

"Afternoon Master. Is there anyth..." The butler was in the middle of greeting him. Before he lost his words in his mouth.

"Just tell Grandfather I'll be seeing him later, I won't be needing anything thanks." Lewis swiftly walked up the grand staircase with Astrid following behind him.

The butler rubbed his eyes discreetly as his eyes widened. 'The Master brought a woman home! I must tell Old Master of this!' The butler then rushed over to Elder Guilliano's side of the mansion to tell the good news.

Astrid was escorted into Lewis's study room. It was beside his bedroom and was surprisingly bright. She thought that Lewis would use a darker-toned room to do work at...

Lewis then reached to one of the bookcases and put aside a couple of books. There was nothing special about them, apart from the hidden department in the bookcase behind!

Astrid could see the entire process and lowered her eyes once again. She couldn't understand why she was being trusted with knowing such a thing.

After Lewis opened the compartment, he took out a small folder. He then handed it over to Astrid. "Have a look at that." Lewis said as he then took a seat on the sofa in the room.

Astrid gazed at him in silence, then started to open the folder... Her eyes immediately widened as her heart stopped...

"... I'm not a good person either Astrid. We both kill for personal gains, we both are difficult to talk to. So why do you call yourself a monster?" Lewis asked as he placed his hand on hers.

Astrid stiffened at his action. But she knew he was right. As she closed the folder, she then looked at him in the eyes. "Why were you doing this? There is no need to."

Lewis then chuckled. It seemed that his little pet seemed to be completely oblivious of human feelings. It wouldn't take him long to teach her such things... But for now...

"There is a need. Whether this bothers you or not, it bothered me tremendously when I saw it. You were stuck in bed, while being seen as a threat by governments across the world, I couldn't sit and do nothing." Lewis spoke with a harsh tone, he was obviously enraged.

Astrid blinked. She didn't know how much Lewis had done for her... The file contained investigations into not only the doctors who 'treated' her. But also an attempt to investigate high government and secret police organizations to see who placed Astrid to be such a threat.

She was undoubtedly a threat to humanity, there was no question about that. But being placed on to the watch list as a teenager? When she hadn't even entered this body yet didn't seem right.

When she thought about it. How did she get this 'illness'? She was sickly as a child that's for sure, but never did she need blood to stop herself from going on a rampage.

She was like a vampire, despite how silly it was, that was the only way to describe her now.

Lewis had done extensive research along with Carmin to pinpoint her illness. But it was as the documents said, it was something they had never seen before.

Astrid was overwhelmed by the guilt. 'Why do so much for me? I can't return your feelings for me. All I can give is...'

Astrid then felt her body warm-up. As Lewis hugged her from the side and rubbed her back. "You know what kind of person I am. Yet you call yourself a monster in front of me... That hurts me Astrid." Lewis whispered into her ear. As Astrid stiffened with his breath making her ears turn red.

"I-I am not normal, my eye. My bloodlust. I am not clean, I killed nor only for personal gain. But also for sexual, and psychological pleasure. I'm not surprised I'm the most dangerous person in the eyes of the world." Astrid chuckled, as her voice slowly turned more distant.

She got caught in the world of addictions, addiction to blood, cigarettes, killing, and sex. Without a doubt, she was sure that even the person previous in the body would feel these addictions also.

Lewis then tapped Astrid's head. "Stupid. The world may think you are dangerous, but some people definitely don't."

Astrid then left her thoughts in silence. Because she knew he was right. Her parents showed her much love, allowed someone like her around Anya. Then Winoa followed her with no questions, despite delving into the world of evil. Francesca never asked what she did. Nor did she seem afraid of her. Leone never found her to be patronizing or cold. But instead quiet and intelligent.

Lewis knew he had hit the mark. So he decided to keep going. "Astrid, do you think I care if you are 'clean' or not? If I did, then you wouldn't have been in my bed. Or here today, being a virgin in a relationship is just stupid. I just never felt a desire for any women around me." Lewis then made Astrid turn her head towards him.

"I..." Astrid wanted to say her words, but was cut us abruptly.

Lewis kissed Astrid lightly at first, taking in her scent of various flowers. Definitely from the garden at home, he then nibbled her lips. And that earned a sensual moan from Astrid.

Lewis's eyes set aflame with that moan. But he composed himself. Before stopping the kiss by pulling himself away.
