(Chapter 92) Isn't He Just An Idiot?

"You hate yourself so much. Yet I can't stop myself from loving you. Aren't I just an idiot?" Lewis remarked as he rubbed Astrid's back.

Warm, loving, kind, faithful, but also protecting. All of these things Astrid felt when Lewis kissed her and then rubbed her back softly.

He didn't want her body, he wasn't like her who couldn't control her desires. He was looking at the heart of a person, instead of judging someone outwardly.

Someone like her... Wasn't good enough for him.

"Don't think lowly of yourself. How could you be a monster and have friends that you stay in contact with to this day? My cousin couldn't stop praising and idolizing you when you were abroad. You have some of the most loyal men I've ever seen under you. From your childhood friend in Winoa. To even that Japanese I saw before. You are more than just a mindless monster." Lewis spoke softly with a smile.

"After what happened that day, I thought about it a little. I'm sorry if I presumed wrong, but it doesn't sound like you are Astrid Tuhs to me. Am I wrong?" Astrid's face then stiffened, as she paled slightly.

Lewis saw the reaction, he had recently realized that Astrid was showing more emotions to him by the day. Going to her house to force himself into her life was a good choice. But now he needed to be met halfway...

Just as Astrid opened her mouth. Lewis placed his finger on her lips. His finger was warm, just like his heart...

"The way you talked about your parents, they weren't the same parents I understood them to be. Then I thought about it. How did a sickly child suddenly become healthy and a genius? The mental age you showed me at 15 was honestly terrifying for me. I wondered how you grew up to be the way you were." Lewis then took a deep breath as he looked down into Astrid's eyes.

"I could only come to this conclusion, or the fact you had a split personality. But even so, it would never matter to me. The Astrid that I have become so adorned to. Is the person in front of me, not the person you were more than 3 years ago." Astrid was silenced due to Lewis's words.

Lewis was brought up in a world where he was the Young Master, women wanted to marry him for his wealth, looks, and position. So he felt something when the younger Astrid didn't pay any attention to him, merely being her friend's older brother.

After he knew about her, he couldn't stop wanting to be near her. People would say she was dangerous and dark. Someone to admire from afar in fear, but he loved that about her. He wasn't a good person, so why take the normal route? Expecting his partner to be a 'perfect wife in the view of the world? Who cares about those insignificant people? By now he was madly in love with the woman in his arms. He wanted to see her every day, he wanted to support her. And most importantly, he was worried about her.

All of these emotions, Lewis was projecting on to Astrid. She was no genius in terms of human relations. But she was no idiot.

Astrid felt her hands trembling, how could she retort now? She felt comfortable around Lewis. She could about things she couldn't to others. While she didn't feel like she was in 'love' per se. She could feel his affections for her.

*Sigh* "Sorry, I seemed to have made you cry again." Lewis spoke in a loathing tone, he didn't want to break down Astrid's mental state. He only wanted her to open herself in front of him. To show him her true emotions.

Astrid then reached for her cheek. She was crying. "No, it's fine. I understand now." Astrid didn't wipe her tears. Instead reaching for Lewis's lips and kissing him.

Lewis responded naturally, while wiping her tears for her. Her tears made her cheeks shin. Her face, which was as handsome as it was beautiful, glowed. As they kept kissing without stop.

Astrid felt her mind go numb. unlike the other times she kissed other people, she felt something. It wasn't just out of an obligation to release herself. But now she wanted to kiss him more.

After enough time, both Astrid's and Lewis's lips were swollen. Before Astrid's hand reached Lewis's top, her hand was covered by his.

Astrid was confused, and that confusion shone in her eyes while looking at him.

"It's fine, we'll take it slow." Lewis's voice definitely had an edge to it. Making him sound manlier than normal. As he then smiled.

Astrid nodded. He didn't want her body, but her heart... "But... Sometimes I just can't hold myself back." Astrid spoke in a tone as quiet as a mouse.

Lewis lightly chuckled. "We'll solve that issue when it comes around. Take off your contacts, it won't be good for your eyes after you cried."

Astrid hesitated. But seeing Lewis's calm and loving eyes, she took both contacts off slowly.

One red, one the color of the depth of the ocean. Lewis couldn't help but smile. She seemed more comfortable about it than before.

"For now, I think you should change. I don't want you getting too hot." Lewis whispered, as he then held Astrid's hand.

Astrid nodded. They then went into Lewis's room and he opened his wardrobe. Revealing both male and female clothing.

Astrid was stunned. She remembered that he only had his clothes last time. All of these clothes... Was her size.

"I'm not an expert, but I picked out some things I thought you would like." Lewis ended up scratching his cheek due to the gaze Astrid was giving him.

Astrid wiped her eyes and picked the first outfit she saw. A loose blouse and jeggings. Lewis then left Astrid to change.

Seeing Astrid in the outfit he bought Lewis immediately smiled. Sure, she looked amazing in the outfit. Her curves were clear, and with no contacts in, she had that edge that he loved about her. An edge of danger.

But he was happier about the fact Astrid had a calm smile on her face, he wasn't a psychologist, but did a lot of research into the human mind for work and to try and crack Astrid.

He felt that Astrid was missing security, and love. A person that seemed to have grown up too quickly, and then given a second chance. But in that second chance, she felt guilty for the love she received. Based on her personality.

But it was exactly what she needed, Astrid seemed calm and relaxed as she stared back at Lewis.

"Is it weird?" Astrid wondered, she was never the best with fashion. But she thought she had improved at least a little.

Lewis shook his head. "No, I was just praising myself for knowing your size so well." Oops, wrong move.

Astrid glared at him. Before giving him a cold shoulder and sitting down on the bed.

*Cough* "Well... I have to go see my grandfather now. Do you want to come or not?" Lewis quickly moved the subject on to something else.

Astrid was adequately tricked, as she thought about the possibilities in her head. "Mm, I think it would be fine not to. I shouldn't intrude on family matters." Astrid replied seriously.

Lewis chuckled. "Okay, just a reminder though, my grandfather will be yours soon so it will be your business."

"Tch" Astrid tutted, feigning annoyance. But Lewis could clearly see the shine in her eyes. She was happy to hear that.
