"Henry? Make yourself scarce and go get me an almond latte with-", Jake began
"-Cinnamon flakes, whipped cream and a glazed donut?", Henry cut him off.
"Hmph", Jake started. "At least you're learning".
"Yes sir", Henry said with a furrowed brow.
He walked away angrily from Jake's cubical.
Jake crossed his legs and turned his chair around.
The air seemed to be filled with animosity.
People in other cubicles were giving Jake weird looks as they passed by.
"Is there a problem?", he asked coyly.
"N-no sir, not at all", said a female worker.
The problem was obviously apparent.
No one liked Jake. He was too full of himself.
Always believing he was better than everyone else because of his accomplishments.
Jake was well aware of this fact. He just didn't care.
The annoyance he brought was amusing to him because no one could tell him otherwise.
He was their boss. Their leader, their source of income, and the one person
making State Farm what it was.
"Then fuck off and do your damn job", he said smiling.
"Eep!", was the sound that escaped the workers lips as she hurried past.
You may be wondering why Jake, being the boss of State Farm, would be sitting in an
ordinary cubicle next to everyone else. Well that's something only Jake knows. And something we may never get to find out.
"Uh sir?", said a voice behind Jake.
"What is it?", he said lazily.
"There are.....visitors here to see you".
"You bothered me because of visitors? I should fire you.
Leave your stuff at your desk".
"B-but sir! It's the big 3!", the worker said scared.
A flash of silence swept through the entire office.
"WHAT. DID.YOU.JUST.SAY"?, Jake said between clenched teeth.
"T-the Big-"
"SHUT UP you IMBECILE!".
The worker closed his mouth with quickness.
"You let them near my building? Those insufferable idiots who think they can match me? PFFT", He laughed.
"Whats so funny may i ask?.....Jake?", a voice cut through Jake's laughter.
It was a woman's voice. One Jake knew too well from its insufferable attitude.
"Ah....ah...ah.....Well if it isnt Flo?", Jake said as he turned to face her.
She was dressed in a white dress, her hair slicked back into a ponytail and she had
a smile on her face. Jake was ready to wipe it off.
"I remember telling you, not to ever come by my offices again.
The consequences would be...how should i put it?-", Jake started rising.
"-Dire? Yes Jake we remember your warnings. Especially since you have control
of over 98% of the world's insurance", said another voice.
It was another one Jake knew all too well.
"Dennis! Hahah. The crews all here!", Jake laughed.
The gathering of his competitors was quite the spectacle to behold.
As always Allstate was dressed in his signature blue denim suit jacket,
a black shirt underneath, and his dark blue jeans.
As Dennis approached, he was followed by 1 more person.
Someone who Jake hadn't seen before. But he was well aware of his
company.
"And who might you be? I know the liberty mutual thugs are decreasing by the day
but good lord, how could you be picked to be the face? HA!", Jake scorned him.
"The name's David Hoffman.I'm the new face of Liberty Mutual,
it's an honor to meet you Mr. Farm.
I've heard many wonderful things about your accomplishments. I hope to be
able to do good work with you in the future", said the Liberty Mutual spokesperson.
"Hop off", Jake said as he turned his attention back on Flo.
"Excuse me?", David said in shock.
"Stop trying to bitch up to me. It wont get you anywhere", Jake said lazily.
"AH. Everyone calm down. I can see there's a bit of tension in the air?
Lets get onto business", said Dennis as he brought the attention back to himself.
"We're here for to announce a proposition", said Flo.
"I don't care", Jake said promptly.
"It regards the Omega shift", interjected David.
All eyes went narrow and focused in.
Jake lifted his hand and suddenly they were all in a glass room.
"Make it quick. Or I'll drop your bodies from this skyscraper right now", Jake told them.
