Headmaid, Tina II

It is said that women's jealousy is dangerous and terrible. Somebody has claimed, a jealous woman might forsake rationality. 

Mona doesn't know if these statements are accurate for all women or not, but in Tina's context it was perfectly definite. 

She has become a perfect example of women's extreme envision.

However she wasn't a resentful woman before. It was a whole process, under which she went and turned like this.  

Mona herself was an eyewitness to how she changed. 

Talking about the past, both of them were slaves.

A long time ago a group of the children were sold to the royal palace. She and Tina both were one of them. Citizens of the country which were defeated by Austria.

Their situation was obvious, since they belong to the defeated country so their life wasn't simple in the palace. 

Compared to normal employees of the royal palace, They had to do extra work while facing rotting criticism and sometimes abuse.  

Among all of them, Tina was the one who suffered most because she had an alluring appearance. Her beauty made her a target. 

When you are in a bad situation, even your favorable qualities become malefic. The same thing went with Tina. In other words, She was too beautiful to be called a maid. 

At that time, the Emperor was around fifteen at that time. He was famous for his kindness and righteousness. 

When Tina was going through the most nosogenic part of her life. The young prince was there for her. 

He was surprisingly gentle with her. They often met in secret and spent time together. He bought delicious foods and gift. 

For Tina the prince was like the first rain of barren land. Hence it didn't take much time and Tina was fond of the prince.  

This was how Tina fell for the emperor. 

There was also another lovesick woman who was madly in love with the emperor. It's the empress. 

The empress was the first daughter of Grand Duke earls. Grand Duke's influence came after the previous emperor. He had a strong, sturdy army and absolute wealth. In short he was a threat to the prince (current emperor).

Still, The Grand Duke had a weakness as well. It was his own daughter Adele. Adele was blind in love. 

Her love led the Duke to destruction. 

However, In all this mess who was most pitiful, it was Dayna. Charlotte and Ethan's late mother. She was also a maid but not a slave.

She was a bright and pure lady and It was her biggest fault because her naive character snatched the emperor's attention. 

What was worse, the emperor confessed his love openly. He made it look like he adored Dayana by heart and soul. He made it look as if Dayana was the last person he cared about. 

His devotion put Dayana in a tight spot. It was because he only declared she was his important person but he didn't give her any authority or place. She was still a maid with no support.

Not only did she have to survive against his enemies but also face the wrath of two ruthless women. 

Mona still remembers what Dayana said while sobbing, 'Mona! He only uses me like a pawn. Why does it have to be me? Why not someone else? Mona, I don't want to die. What should I do? What should I do to save me and my childrens?' 

That time Mona learnt Dayana was pregnant with the emperor's child. It was their last meeting and also the first time when Dayana said what was in her heart. 

After that Dayana disappeared without any task. No one knew where she was gone and to tell the truth no one cared whether she was alive or dead. 

Mona couldn't assume what was between the emperor and Dayana but one thing was certain that the emperor had no affection for Dayana. Actually saying this should be accurate that the emperor loved no one. Neither Dayana nor the empress and Tina. 

These three women were the victims of the emperor's cunningness. He used everyone dearly. 

Mona wasn't sure whether Dayana was lucky or unlucky. It was her luck that she was able to recognize the emperor's ill motives. However she was also unlucky that she wasn't able to escape from his traps and dirty games. 

Though Dayana has long gone, the hate which people held her is still here. Her children are punished for her behalf. 

The empress and Tina's loathe towards Dayan is not diacress one percent even now. Tina's sensitivity and virtue burnt in the blaze of resentment. She is abusing children without constraints. Meanwhile the empress, she is indirect methods to tortured these two innocent fellows.

At the end of the day, Mona found herself in deep confusion. Should she pity them? Or disgusted? 

"Tina, She's dead. Can't you suppress this hate of yours? You know that she wasn't at fault. She was nothing more than a puppet. A doll who doesn't even have the freedom to breathe freely. Yet.." 

Before Mona could complete her sentence, Tina cut off her words in the middle. 

"Shut up." She sneered. Her eyes were full of aggravation and peeve. 

When Mona looked into her eyes she trembled. For a moment she forgot that Tina was headmaid now, not someone who used to be her friend. 

"I'll cut off that snake like tongue of yours, if you dare to speak with me arrogantly. Also I'll not repeat it again, so listen carefully. I'm not your friend anymore. What I am to you now is your superior. Never ever forget that I'm standing above you. " Sharply but with crystal clear eyes Tina drew a line between them.

Yeah they were friends. She was the only person who Tina trusted and cared for. However when she befriends Dayana. Their friendship ended.

"Mona, I'm merciful but that doesn't me I'm setting you free. I've to punish you. Are you aware of your crime?"

Mona nodded. Somehow, she realised that even if she tried to explain, Tina wouldn't listen to her. 

"I'm sorry Madam, I shouldn't have addressed you  by your name." 

Tina smirked. "I'll think about your punishment soon." 

"Yeah! Madam." 

Even though fear was occupying Mona's heart, she didn't show it on face.

Tina was about to go further. However a man came and bowed his head in front of Tina. He reported. "Headmaid, Her majesty summoned you." 

Tina nodded and spared a final glance to Mona and Ethan.
