Chapter 34: Shield

While going around I noticed a restaurant nearby and wanting to calm my nerves down I went inside to get something to pass the time.

Going inside the building I began to order as already asked the waiter what I wanted as I waited on the outside tables of the restaurant just to get a better view of where the villains were at but also to be hiding in plain sight.

"Excuse me sir, but I hope you don't mind me taking this spot."

Glancing over I saw a beautiful girl with blonde hair with aqua eye color wearing a white short-sleeved dress shirt with plaid cuffs, a large bow of the same design at her neck, and a dark raspberry pink waistcoat. Accompanying these are pale gray Capri pants, under which are a pair of plaid pink socks as well as a pair of heeled brown boots. She also wears a wristwatch and pink, oval-framed glasses.

This person right here in front of me is none other than Melissa Shields a clear reference from the marvel S.H.I.E.D.S joke but a good one nonetheless.

Taking on my fake expression of surprise I immediately agreed to her request and introduced myself to her, "Sure no problem miss. The names Jason Bourn 15 years old the pleasure to meet you…?"

Getting my hint for the pause Melissa nods her head at this as she replies to me in a cheerful tone, "Ah sorry where are my manners. The name is Melissa Shields also 15 years old and one of the newest students here in I-Island Academy starting in the first years. Nice to meet you, Jason."

Smirking at her she takes a seat as I noticed a board on her hands with papers of research about something but then when she spoke, I listened to her, "Sorry for bothering you today Jason. The restaurant was full, and this was one of the few places to get a table since this was for the open public. I missed lunch while I was too busy with my research."

Laughing a bit at this situation to her I responded with some light humor to ease her embarrassment, "For someone learning to be a scientist here in I-Island one would think they have to be ready at all times and take care of one's health. Where were you on that one Shields?"

She then puffs her face at me as she looks away from me as she responds while I took a glance at her notes, "Rude. Don't you know how to treat a girl with manners and kindness mister?"

Stifling a laugh there I acted to look around as I was being fake curious of where I was looking at and not at her, "A girl? Where is it and where can I find the guy being a simp to her?"

Melissa seems to be upset about that but that was when I noticed the notes look a lot like my own notes…

Fuck this girl is trying to copy off the Iron Man suit!

Glancing at her work before she tried to talk, I asked her first about her notes, "Hey these notes of yours happen to look awful like that Iron Man vigilante around the whole social media?"

Hearing that she looks embarrassed at that as she began to explain in her defense probably to avoid being judged, "Wha! Oh, sorry but these notes are a bit private. Although you could say that I was inspired by the design of the original suit as well as the latest news of him accidentally saving the world. It's pretty funny hearing that honestly that someone randomly saves society like that."

Laughing at that she wasn't wrong that was exactly what happened when I took care of the papa smurf of the Humanize group they were terrorists after all better to take care of them and let the police handle them.

After that, I began to have some small talk with Melissa about her project luckily for me I already have been using the quirk secretly when I asked her for some questions as she openly admits to them while she doesn't realize it.

Although blunt it got me a few ideas of what she was doing as well as why she research the Iron Man armor it seems to me that she was inspired quite literally by the design of the Prime-Model Armor as she wanted to create her version.

She got this far getting what my armor looks like as well as guessing the materials needed for my armor but reading the notes or getting clear answers from her, I managed to get a better understanding of why she was researching it.

It was the sole purpose to become a hero as idiotic as it sounds because she became inspired by the use of technology going to toe with superpowered humans especially during the first appearance of Iron Man as well all the other times of his appearance once it made news throughout Japan.

Then after the Humanize defeat as well as the bombs being confirmed with other people it soon became apparent that everything about destroying the world of 80% quirk users was true that became a nationwide issue.

But since Iron Man has saved them all from the smurfs attack they were split on public opinion of his actions and there was the whole globe searching for quirks causing the user to be in 2-day comas.

Because of actions that seem to motivate Melissa to copy my suit armor and everything about it from the video footage or what was left from it to consider that Alter Ego made sure to manipulate it or erase it.

Then again data can always be recovered if you just know how to that is.

Although people these days sure are willing to do anything just for the chance to become heroes they are willing to do anything just to be a hero because to the ordinary man heroes are too overpraised as Gods and people want to be like that.

Laughable really how people who always view this way of life that someone will save you one day and not defend themselves but that is the problem in the MHA world because they lack what common sense is.

When a villain comes over to attack someone and when a hero arrives on the scene people like the flock of sheep, gawk staring at the fight like it was a show, and take out their phones video recording the whole thing.

I can't help but argue where are their sense of danger of self-preservation reside inside themselves, but they are complete idiots that can't even register the danger to their lives.

If they can't even register that their mortal lives are in danger or at least try to help the heroes out I can't blame them that they died…

Whoa ok stopping that train of thought for now argue about the general problems of the MHA society ranting for later no matter how fragile it is honestly.

After finishing talking to Melissa about her notes of the armor, she was working on at me she left as she needed to return to her class soon.

Good, I was getting bored of sitting here anyway, for now, I should be able to formulate a plan to get rid of the villains in a surprise attack but Nine's, on the other hand, is a real main issue to deal with.

Sigh…

Now that these villains are finally here it's best to wait till it's nighttime to deal with them properly. No need to draw unnecessary attention towards me.

I for one won't let them do anything its best I act before I even left them the chance to attack this place, but I should go off getting them all in one group while I take the fight into a more deserted area.

Although I'm going to fight the two main villains, I can send the cannon fodder to the sun thanks for researching the locations of the sun from the earth.

For now, though it's time I meet up with Manami and Fuyumi it's about that time anyway to meet up at the hotel.

Currently, I'm now at the entrance of the hotel room as I enter inside, I saw Fuyumi and Manami at the desk they saw me their happy expressions soon showed.

Manami was the first to meet up with me as she spoke, "Jason! Took your time sightseeing the I-Island huh? So how did it go viewing this place?"

Smirking at Manami I responded with a cheerful tone hiding my fear as I spoke, "Amazing. That is the word that comes up in this place. I-Island sure is something to behold that's for sure and the technology here is so advanced too."

Fuyumi nods her head at this as she comes over to me as hands me the keys to my room in the hotel, "That's good. It's great to see that you're having fun with all of this also here are your keys to your room. I already have one for me and Manami you have the whole room to yourself young man."

Taking the key I thanked Fuyumi as I began to go to check my room as I spoke to them before leaving, "Thanks for the keys Fuyumi. Also, you two have fun enjoying the I-Island as well as the town. I'll have a check what's my room like and call it a day so good night then you two."

They both nodded at that as they both began to go ahead and went to the town at night while I exam my room that Fuyumi took her time to get for me by myself.

Examining the room was the same as it was during the movie where the girls from U.A. from the movie as I lay down on my bed still observing the villains with my
