Chapter 47: Category Conjurer

~Third POV~

In the bathroom, Jason saw that his Nen category was with actual surprise as he saw the water in the cup began to appear impurities in the water as he realized what it was, "My Nen category is Conjurer? Huh? Here I thought it was going to be Specialist with my talents but instead, it became Conjurer…"

After giving some thought as Jason put away the water, he talked to himself with an analyzing tone as he talked about the personality of a conjurer, "Conjurers are typically high-strung or overly serious, stoic, and nervous. They are often on guard to be cautious. They are very observant and logical, rarely falling into traps. Being able to analyze things calmly is the strength of Conjurers…"

That was when Jason nodded his head at that as he slams his hand in the understanding of his personality coupled with his own, "Huh… I guess it makes sense. Ever since my travels, I have been showing a lot of traits belonging to that category. Since my travels and even before I have shown those traits as my dominant personality then I was going to fall in this category despite my talents…"

Thinking more on the subject Jason began to think what the perks were by becoming a Conjurer Nen user as he thought more seriously on the subject.

Many of the items that Conjurers create are often used by them in a very deliberate and practical, logical fashion.

If a student creates an object in the water in the glass during their Water Divination, then that student is a Conjurer. In most cases, Conjuration is intended as the ability to create a physical, independent, material object out of one's aura; however, users of this category can also create laws and principles and affix them to a specific area.

The durability of a conjured object can generally be taken as a measure of the user's skill, although conditions can be used to strengthen it.

Constructs created via Conjuration have a subtle 'independence' to them: under certain circumstances, they can continue existing even at a considerable distance from the Conjurer, or even if the Conjurer themselves are not aware that they have yet to be de-materialized.

Some Conjurers have also exhibited the capacity to alter the length and size of a materialized item. Once a person has mastered the materialization of a certain object, they can conjure it and dispel it in an instant, whenever they want.

However, even if one were to completely master this Nen type, there would still be objects they could not materialize, such as swords that can cut anything, as they go beyond 'human capacity. Izunavi vaguely described this principle as the inability to conjure objects overtly supernatural.

Conjured objects can possess special abilities. For instance, the Phantom Troupe thief, Shizuku, can conjure a vacuum cleaner that can infinitely suck up objects, but with the condition that it cannot suck up living things and things made out of Nen.

Similar to Manipulation, Conjuration abilities tend to be very specific, complex, and conditional. Conditions can be imbued into conjured objects to make them stronger.

Kortopi, for example, can materialize a perfect inanimate copy of any object or person that he touches. However, the copies of all objects generated will automatically disappear after 24 hours.

By resorting to Limitations, a Conjurer can take their ability a step further and materialize objects with properties that come even closer to exceeding human capacity, although they still cannot surpass it.

Conjuration is the only way in which Nen can create things that non-users can see and touch unless they are hidden from the senses with In.

Alternatively, Conjurers can create abilities whose constructs are invisible to non-users and even specific Nen users, to the point that only one person may be able to perceive them.

However, the fewer people can see a conjured construct, the lower the risk and the more energy is expended in its creation, resulting in an increased aura cost.

Remembering all of those abilities of a Conjurer Jason began to think more till he remembered the trick to Conjurer abilities, "If remembering correctly then a conjured item can also have unique abilities so long as the user follows the limitations and restrictions of their Nen. Vows and Limitations."

Being a product of the mind, Nen responds to the goals, strengths, and desires of individual users. As a result, a student of Nen can increase the overall power of individual skill by stating a self-imposed restriction that forces even more conditions on it.

For example, if one consciously decides something along the lines of 'I will only use this skill on Thursdays' or 'I will only use this skill against short people' and manages to abide by that rule, that particular skill will become stronger.

These restrictions are called 'Limitations', and the act of swearing to respect them 'Vow' or 'Contract'. The stricter the Limitation, the stronger the user's resolve, and thus the more their ability is strengthened. However, Limitations are also considered liabilities, since the power they grant is not consistent.

Unlike normal conditions, which establish the general parameters of ability, and activation requirements, which determine the circumstances in which said ability can be used, a Limitation can be broken; however, doing so not only entails the loss of the ability it was used on, but it also carries the risk of obliterating one's capacity to use Nen altogether.

Limitations that contain some sort of punishment will strengthen the ability even further. An example is provided by Kurapika, who swore on his own life not to use an ability on anyone but the Phantom Troupe. According to Izunavi, without that added risk, the ability would not have worked.

While Jason was thinking of the conditions of being a conjurer a smile grew on his face as he got an idea of how he should use the ability, "The ability to conjurer anything of my choosing so long as I provide the right rules and conditions. With this, I might be able to find a way to get the rest of my Nen category to 100% or even more if I create the right ability."

*THUMP*

That was when Jason felt the airship shake as he then heard an announcement over the speakers, "Were now at our destination would all graduates please leave the area to the site to explain the rules."

Jason listening to the announcement began to hurry along to get his license first before thinking of a useful Nen ability for later.

After that, the airship has landed near a palace-like building near the outside of the building soon everyone went inside the building together are now inside the big room with chairs as Netero along with the other hunters began to explain the four rules of being a hunter.

Sitting inside the room the applicants listened in to the usefulness of the Hunter License after from Beans as he spoke in a serious tone, "This is Hunter's license, contrary to what you might think, it's an ordinary card. Except that it's impossible to fake thanks to newer techniques, it's an object like all others. Nevertheless, its effectiveness is extraordinary!"

Everyone nodded at that as they listened more to the bean head-shaped man as he continues to explain to the group, "First, with this card, it becomes to enter into 90% of the countries that refuse access to foreigners, and 75% of the places where going is forbidden. 95% of the public functions are free for you. This is all paid by banks and big companies. You only have to be careful of two things: not to lose it, and not to have it stolen. No duplicates will be given."

With that everyone listened to the rules of being a hunter in greater detail as they nodded as they understood the rules as Jason was more fascinated with the rules than the info, he got from his world Hunter X Hunter wiki.

After that Beans follows up to the conclusion of the rules of being a hunter, "Here we are! I'm finished with explanations! The remainder only depends on you. Train a lot and believe in your abilities. Follow your dreams and progress in life. The eight people here are now registered as hunters!"

With that everyone then began leaving the building as Jason stopped by Kurapika as he congratulated him, "Well then Kurapika I hope you do well as your job as a hunter?"

Kurapika merely nodded as he left while Jason sighs out loud maybe thinking that Kurapika may hold a grudge against him for taking his friends out of the chance to become hunters.

That was when Hisoka laughed at the scene as he move towards Jason he spoke to him with a happy tone, "My you seem to have an admirer there Jason~ But here is the information needed to know where Heaven's Arena why not come with me? I happen to work on my Nen for a while as I show you around hmm… kay~"

Jason for his part wanted to refuse the idea of going anywhere with the psychopath pedophile but he asked Alter Ego in his head in a desperate tone, 'Alter Ego have you gotten the chance to decode the language here in Hunter X Hunter yet?'

To his bad luck or fate, Alter Ego responded with a disappointed tone as she responded in his mindscape expressing an embarrassed face, 'Sorry sir but the language here is going to take some time even with our thought processing power. I'm afraid you're going to need to suck it up for now since I need more time to gather more information but Nen is making it impossible.'

Jason could only sigh at that answer as he was left with no choice but to follow Hisoka as he smiled brightly at his expression.

*Thud*

That was when Illumi no longer wearing his disguise managed to shake Jason's hand as the deadpan expression thanked him, "Thank you very much for disqualifying my little brother chances of becoming a hunter. I made sure to call my parents butlers to get him as he was not ready to get his license."

Jason for his part was honestly surprised to see Illumi thank him as he backed off from him as Hisoka merely glared at the assassin while Jason's attention was on him not noticing Hisoka's glare.

Illumi wanted the chance to get rid of Jason at that moment because he managed to see him awaken his Nen at the beginning inside the fog of Milsy Swamp as he thought of him as a potential threat shortly.

Frankly, thanks to Hisoka's interest the one that Jason didn't want on him saved him from being controlled by Illumi's needles as he glared at Illumi taking the hint as it's not his to meddle with his fruit or meal for the future.

Jason didn't know how lucky or unlucky to be targeted by the last person he wanted to get the attention of but said person protecting him for his interest.

With that Illumi took his leave as Hisoka returned to his playful manner as he spoke to Jason in his friendly tone, "Oh my friend there is so nice that he came here to thank him~ Isn't that so nice of him Jason~"

He didn't know why but he felt that he cheated death somehow but for some odd reason he didn't know why. But calming himself together he sighs out loud as he asked Hisoka for assistance, "Sure… anyway where is the way to Heavens Arena Hisoka? Also, do you know any tips to train my Nen categories I happen to find out mine which way is it to correctly train on it?"

Hisoka merely laughed at that as he responds to Jason answering the most, he can about the ways to correctly train in each category from his personal experience as well as taught from what he knows from his previous master.

With that, the clown and traveler both left to enter Heaven's Arena…
