He's Awake!

The festival was now in full swing and now that everyone had finished setting up they were slowly starting to celebrate. The sun was slowly coming up over the horizon, lighting the entire sky on fire. The villagers had set up lanterns that hung up all around the village that glowed soft green and gold colors. The village was already filled with the music of the people having fun.

The drums rattled loudly and the guttural thrums of the peoples voices filled the entire village. The boys danced to the song as Tink sat on the side, clapping her hands to beat of the song. The people of L'Aura Radieuse had painted their faces that ranged from dark green to bright red.

The boys had painted their faces as well, they had a black strip going from the top of their head to their chin. Then they had a bright red triangle on their cheeks. This meant that the boys were 'new warriors'. Tink had two sets of red strips on her face, one of them starting at the middle of her nose and going to the middle of her cheek.

The other starting at the corners of her mouth and going to the edge of her face. The red strips had yellow strips under them and she had one yellow dot above each of her eyebrows. Her eyes were encompassed in black ink and she had a black stripe going from the bottom of her lip to her chin.

This symbolized she was a warrior of the tribe. Every person at the festival had different paintings which meant different things. While this was a festival for Pan, it was also a festival for the people as well.

As the festival grew loud, Pan started to stir, placing his hand on his head as he slowly sat up. He groaned softly as his eyes squinted open, looking around the room as the healer walked over.

"How are you feeling Peter?" She said in a soft tone, Pan looked towards the healer. He rolled his neck around before stretching out his back. He nodded looking down at his body. "I feel great, htunr-chea" He placed his hands together and bowed his head.

The healer walked next to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. "You needn't bow your head to me, today is your day Mun." She winked as she walked to the entrance. She paused for a moment and looked back towards Pan.

"If you feel up to it, there is face paint in the box under my bed, but come out whenever you're ready..." She placed her hands together, bowing her body down completely before walking out. He smiled softly and sighed softly, speaking under his breath. "Thank you, Lady Rivers..."

He ran his hands through his hair as he tried to push his memories out of his mind. They only upset him and he needed to figure out if the boys were ok. He looked towards the box that sat under Rivers bed but shook his head, making his way out of the tent.

He pulled his shirt down as he opened the tent, seeing all the people having a good time. He could rest easy now that everyone was having a good time, he made his way to the dance circle. He watched as the boys danced around, across the fire he saw Tink, enjoying herself.

"Wonder when she got here..." He muttered as he made his way to her side. He sat down and smiled softly as he watched everyone dance. Tink looked towards Pan and hugged him tightly. "Peter! How are you feeling?" The jangle of her voice was quieted by the festival.

Pan looked towards Tink and nodded, a smile on his face. "Great all things considering..." Tink dipped her head down before looking back towards the dancing. Pan looked towards Tink curiously as he signed, "Where'd you hide the boys?"

Tink didn't look away from the festival as she gestured back. "I just used an illusion spell to hide the entire tree..." Pan looked towards her worried. "Do the boys know you did this?" He spoke this time, he was worried but his tone was stern.

Tink turned towards Pan as she shook her head. She knew she was going to get yelled at, she slouched over, looking towards her legs. Pan glared at her for a moment before looking towards the fire, scoffing softly. He tapped his foot on the ground as he thought about the boys.

They knew what to do to protect themselves, but Hook and his men were becoming stronger. So Pan couldn't do anything but worry about them as the festival continued. Tink looked towards Pan, and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I should have thought about that before I hid the tree." He sighed and looked towards her, a soft smile on his face. "It's fine, it was good quick thinking..." He dipped his head down softly before looking back towards the fire. The boys continued to dance, Pan eventually joined them as he danced around with the elderly.

He had a bright smile on his face, it was the first time he had fun without thinking of others. Tiger Lily danced with everyone at least once, mostly dancing with the kids before making her way next to Tink.

Tiger Lily sighed softly as she wiped the sweat off her brow, leaning back slightly. She looked towards Tink curiously, signing confused. "Pan didn't seem too happy, did something happen?" Tink shook her head and turned her gaze towards Pan.

Tiger Lily sighed softly, arching her back as she draped herself over the log that the two of them sat on. She looked towards the sky and sighed contently. She glanced towards Tink for a moment before breaking the silence between them.

"Well if you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here Tink..." A smile formed on Tinks lips as she looked towards Tiger Lily, dipping her head. Tiger Lily placed her hands together and bowed her head slightly before going limp in her place.

She scoffed and looked towards the sky. "I hope one day we can all be at peace without the fear of war at any second..." Tink nodded and looked towards Pan for a moment. Pan seemed content as he pranced among the boys, laughter erupting from all the children.

After everyone finished their dances, they started the feast. Where Tiger Lily spoke about the bountiful harvest they'd had recently. Thanking both Pan and their gods of old, everyone harmoniously said "htunr-chea wek hto zeanhiwap woujh!"

Then everyone began eating the beautifully prepared feast that the hunters and gatherers had prepared for the village. Once everyone had finished eating Pan and the boys relaxed for a little bit before Tink, Pan and the boys made their way back towards the Hangman's tree.
