The Journey Home

Pan and the boys ran ahead, playing around a bit as they made their way back to the Hangman's tree. The boys would stop to stare at some of the creatures as they passed by, but they really never slowed down.

Tink walked by herself, admiring the boys as they got Pan to play with them. The boys ran up to her at one point, taking her hand in theirs and pulling Tink up to the front next to Pan. Pan chuckled softly and looked at Tink. "Looks like they would like to play with you now..." Tink smiled brightly and nodded as she looked down towards the boys.

Pan watched as the boys play with Tink, backing off a little as they ran off. The boys circled Tink as they played their game, Tink not really knowing what they were doing. She just let them run around her as she continued to walk.

As they continued to walk Tink heard a commotion in the distance, looking back towards Pan who'd noticed the noise as well. Pan looked towards the boys, making eye contact with Tink. She smiled softly and nodded, he bowed his head and started making his way through the thick wood.

He walked for about a mile or so before he reached a cliff, where he could see the forest below. The forest was illuminated in the orange blaze that seemed to stretch for miles. He saw a few creatures and people scurrying away from the flames, he was glad they were able to make it out of the blaze.

As he looked around to see the cause of the blaze, a few of Hook's men were chasing after the people and creatures. Pan wanted to go help, but by the time his body moved, everyone had disappeared. The only thing left behind was the crackling blaze of the forest.

Pan hissed as he drove his fist into the ground, he knelt there. His body bent over his legs as he held back tears. He kept his eyes locked shut as stood there, fuming a green aura emanating off of Pan's body like smoke.

All of a sudden Pan couldn't feel his body, it was like he was floating above his body as tears flowed from his eyes. As the water hit the earth, the green aura burst off of his body, going for what seemed like miles around Pan.

Tink and the boys continued to walk down the path. The boys were now just ahead of Tink as they played with themselves. Tink was on high alert for everything in a 20-mile radius since Pan walked off. She hadn't noticed the fire or any of the creatures that Pan had seen, she truly couldn't feel Pan's aura anymore either.

Though Tink stopped in her tracks as she felt an energy surge, tuning into Pans frequency as she walked behind the boys, slower than before. Tink had been using a lot of magic to keep the illusion up around the tree, so she became tired, especially after the energy surge.

Marmaduke and Fox noticed Tink slowed down, keeping an eye on her as they walked ahead of the group. Tink connected with Pan and spoke in a clear voice, Pan could hear her as he tried moving his body. It was like being stuck in a pit full of tar, he thought maybe someone was using magic to keep him there.

"Pan, you need to relax" Her voice was commanding, which made Pan stop trying to move. He sat there for a few minutes as he made his body grow limp. He sighed softly as he responded, sounding defeated. "I don't know what's happening Tink..."

This wasn't the first time this had happened to him. The first time was when he was little, he was just figuring out his power which was normal for kids in Neverland. Though it was something that had been happening a lot more frequently.

It was frustrating that this was the second time in the span of a day that it had happened to him. Tink's voice both commanding and comforting, sort of like a mother's broke through Pan's thoughts. "It happens to the best of us Pan, you just need to relax and clear your mind..."

He took a deep breath in before exhaling, collecting his thoughts as the feeling of his body slowly came back. He sat there silently as the feeling in his fingers came back, moving them, then his arms before the feeling in his entire body was back. He fell into a seated position, collecting himself as the world came back into view.

Tink flagged the boys to slow down as she grew tired, Fox walking up next to Tink as he looked at her worried. "Are you alright?" He said quietly as he looked towards the boys. Tink smiled softly and dipped her head as walked, rather tired as she walked with Fox. Fox looked around, noticing Pan was missing. "Where's Pan?"

He looked up towards Tink worried, Tink placed a hand on Fox's shoulder, a maternal smile on her face. "He'll be right back..." She signed before she walked to the side, sitting down on a rock as she called all the boys back. "When you're ready, I need you to come back quic-" She passed out, the energy inside of Tink sputtered out like an old car's engine.

The boys looked at Tink worried as she slumped over onto Fox's shoulder. Once Pan regained feeling in his legs, he hobbled back towards the group. He stumbled through the brush and looked up the path a little, seeing the boys gathered around Tink. He ran up next to the boys, placing his hand on two of the boy's shoulders, moving them out of the way.

The boys looked at Tink worried as Pan bent down, picking her up. "Is she going to be alright?" Tootle's voice squeaked as he pulled on Pans shirt. Pan smiled softly and stood up, making sure Tink was comfortable in his hands."Yes, she's just a little tired is all...Let's try and be quiet for a little while" Pan said as he started walking, the boys exchanged looks with each other before following after Pan.

Pan was still out of it from his own power surge, but he needed to make sure they all got home safely. Especially since Hooks men could still be in the area. The boys whispered among themselves until Pan stopped, the boys bumping into Pans back.

He turned around and looked towards the boys curiously. "What are you all whispering about back here?" The boys looked between each other before Fox looked up at Pan. "They have questions they want to ask you..."

Pan chuckled softly and shrugged, looking around at the boys. "You can ask me questions any time..." The boys were silent for a moment before they bombarded Pan with questions the entire time. He kind of regretted giving them permission but he knew they'd have questions. "What was that poof from?"

Was one he heard from a couple of the boys, maybe they were talking about the energy surge? He sighed and looked down towards the boys as they walked around him. "I felt it as well, that's why I went to look for it, I couldn't find anything though...so all we can do is hope that person or creature is ok"

The boys looked around confused and then nodded. "Wish we could help the creature..." Nibs sighed as he kicked a rock along the path. Pan nodded and looked ahead of them as he walked, Tink in his arms. "Well, you can't always help everyone out, but you can certainly try..." Nibs nodded and walked quietly with the other boys.

They all stayed together as the Hangman's tree came into view, the illusion magic had worn off, probably when Tink collapsed. Hopefully, the boys were alright as they went through the Soultaur tunnels. Some of the boys got lost as the Soultaur's played with them, eventually, they all made it out safely, the boys running ahead.
