Chapter 6: Fifty

Lyrie's P.O.V.

I thought of this many times. I refused to come, but here I am.

"Sorry..." I looked at Finn sitting beside me.

He looked at me,

"Sorry for what?"

I placed my sight on the back of the driver seat in front of me,

"That time I told you I wasn't going, sorry I made you upset"

"Pshh… that's nothing, at least you're already here, that would be fine with me" he said. I looked back at him and there he flashes his wide smile. I can't deny that he's good looking, especially when she does that. His face looks fine matching his long nose.

Why does it matter?

It took twenty minutes before we got to the foot of the mountain. The car is parked near the trees. I can see those from here. They began to open doors. I'm sitting between Ate Jade and Finn. Ate Jade made it first to step out the car so I scoot over and went after..

Mm?

I'm about to get out of the car when I saw two hands offering in front of me. I looked up at whose hands are those, it was Calypso and Finn's.

Ahmm..

I think I can do it on my own.

I smiled at the both of them,

"It's ok, it's ok" I said, waving my hands at them.

I saw their hands being pulled back while getting my way out. I took a glance, I noticed they stepped back and watched me step out of the car.

As I stood straight, I finally saw the view from where I stand.

Beautiful.

The mountain is surrounded with quite big trees. From here, I can see a track leading up the mountain. Perhaps they put a way up the mountain, it's as wide as four to five people that can walk together. Aside from that, there's just plenty of trees almost shedding the whole way.

I took a deep breath.

It's more different, especially in a closer look. I didn't know it would be this beautiful. I remembered I used to just look at this outside the store.

"Let's go?"

I looked at the left, it was Finn. I took a glance at the front, they're already walking ahead.

Snap it.

I started moving my feet, walking on.

"It's your first time here?" Finn asked, trying to break the silence. He's now walking beside me.

"Yup..." I looked at him, nodding,

"You?"

What do I even ask that? They just came here--

"We used to go here before"

Oh yeah, I forgot.

"I already did, four times" he said nodding,

"The first time was when my grandma celebrated her birthday, second was…" he suddenly stopped for a while and looked around.

"...when she left us " he nearly whispered saying that. There was like cold water poured to me after hearing that. I regret asking back.

"And the other one's now" he continued, bringing back joy tone of his voice.

"A-Ahm, sorry, I'm sorry to hear that..."

"No, it's ok. I've accepted it already" he said, looking at me, simply smiling while tapping his chest.

I just nodded and focused my sight on the way.

I can't deny, I feel uncomfortable. I don't know why. I think he's too good for me. I hate myself for feeling this way. I always degrade myself and look at others first by their appearance.

Haayy..

I placed my sight at the people ahead us. Ate Jade and the other bandmates of Finn are there. We're not that close and I often see them at the store. But looking at them, I think they're good. They are now just talking and laughing things about.

And yeah… I missed that kind of friendship.

Still looking at them, I noticed Calypso suddenly looked at us. His eyes meet mine. He just simply smiled, looked at me and Finn. Then he brought back his sight to them.

I smiled.

For now, I can say, Calypso's the I'm a little close with. I had talked to him a few times and I can say he's easy to talk to. He just has this kind of childish side, weird one sometimes because he always appears from nowhere.

"I'll introduce you to them" I looked at Finn, he's now smiling at me. I smiled and nodded.

"Come on" he held my wrist and pulled me towards them,

"Hey, bros, I want you to meet, Lyrie" he said.

"Wuuuu… is that necessary? We already know her from your stories" the curled hair guy said, teasingly.

Pfft..

"Hahahah nice to meet you, Lyrie" Calypso said, offering his hand to me.

Pshh hahaha

I shaked his hand pretending I didn't know him too. Then there I saw each hands offering to me,

"Ralph," the curly hair guy said.

"James" the moreno one said.

"Kent" the tall one and chinky eye said.

I shook their hands one by one. And they flashed smiles back. We continued walking, and now there's no big space between all of us.

"So Lyrie" Ralph suddenly came closer to Finn and held Finn's shoulder, and looked at me like a professional talk show host.

"How are you with this guy?" he asked referring to Finn.

"Ahm… fine?" I answered. Didn't really have anything to say.

"Mmm… fine, huh?" he looked at Finn,

"How's that Finn?" teasing him while tapping his shoulder, Finn just laughed at him.

While taking our way, the storytelling was endless. That keeps us laughing and won't notice we've been walking for too long now. They once talked about me and Finn, and it ended up Ate Jade refraining them for their jokes. Funny thing, Ate Jade was like guarding kindergartens in a field trip. It's good, she's here. Her age is not too far from ours, she just thinks more mature.

Finn, Kent, James, Ralph, and Calypso were throwing jokes and funny stories at each other. And it's impossible you won't laugh your stomach out. What story I won't forget was Ralph's.

"Highschool days, there's the time I'm with Kent and Arthur, our classmate.. that was after class, we're walking at the park near the school. We looked for somewhere to sit on, you know, for a while." he paused,

"There's a bench we found. We sat there and yeah, we did some of our assignments like a good kid" he said, sarcastically,

"Then, while we're talking, Arthur found something beneath our table. Fifty pesos. He reached for it and showed us, looking sooo happy" he said in an exaggerating tone.

"Of course fifty pesos would be a lot to a high schooler. We looked around if there's someone who owns it, but there are only a few kids around us looking busy so we thought the owner wouldn't be them. Then Kent said--bwhahahahah!" not yet finished telling us what happened, he burst to laughter like it's going there,

"He said, bro--pfftt--" him still trying not to laugh,

"He said, "bro let's wait ten minutes, if no one looked for it, it's ours"

"Hahahahaha!" Kent laughed, he already know what's gonna happen.

"There we waited and waited, ten minutes after, no one claimed for it. We can't stop laughing. Arthur said, "Bro, no one claimed, let's buy some snacks with it" of course we did that 'cause were still insane kids"

"You're still insane" James sarcastically said,

"Hahahahahaha!"

"Pftahahahaha!"

"Hey!" Ralph said, laughing,

"So yeah, we bought snacks, soft drinks. We're so happy eating those like we won something, 'cause it's free. Then, we're about to go home, waiting for a ride, we saw Kent, acting so weird whahahha!"

"He's looking for something! Hahaha! His fifty pesos! Hahahaha!"

Hahahahahhahaha!

"Hahahahahhahahaha!"

"Turns out, it's his! hahahahha!"

"Hahahahahahaha!" James laughed so hard while tapping Kent's shoulder.

"Planning about ten minutes, huh?! Hahahahaha!"
