Jade frowned. She could see the girls very clearly in the sky. And they were whispering. Hopefully not about her.
The girl with the black hair finally stood up and walked out of the bushes.
Jade leaped gracefully to the ground, her eyes shimmering in the sunlight.
"Hello." The girl muttered.
Jade looked at her and then glanced in the other girl's direction. She had white hair. Odd. And her blue eyes were as cold as ice. Odd.
"You know, I can see you there." Jade exclaimed.
The girl didn't move at all.
"White hair girl. Talking to you." Jade coughed sardonically.
White-hair girl sighed and jumped out of her hiding spot.
"Who are you!?" The girl pointed her sword in Jade's face.
"No need to be so violent, girl." Jade said calmly.
White girl lowered her sword and stepped back.
"Don't you dare hurt me! Or…" White Girl pointed her finger at a tree. It soon, became frozen in a huge ice cube.
Jade smiled and flicked her wrist. Rays of light hit the frozen tree and the ice defrosted.
"I am not afraid."
In the corner of her eye, she could see an odd little robin perched on a tree branch, tilting her head as though listening to every bit of their conversation.
"So…" White Girl started. "Huh—do you sense something watching us?"
The dark girl nodded and turned around in circles.
"I don't see anyone, though."
"Look! A little birdie!" White Girl pointed at the bird Jade noticed earlier.
"I think it's that." Without further due, Black Girl dove with her dagger in the direction of the bird.
In a blink of an eye, the bird transformed into a girl with braided brown hair and dodged the blade.
"Woah," The girl's eyes blazed with anger. "That's not a way to treat an innocent robin."
