Six Vassal Clans

The entire city have gone into alert and bustling with noises. In order to make the best of their short preparation times. Anyone who can work have been called upon to do variety of jobs.

Anything from making arrows, sewing leather armor, hammering away in the blacksmith, and processing dry food. And thanks to the knowledge of Daniel summons, the quality is a lot higher.

While all of this is going on, Daniel have summon the chieftain of each tribe into the throne room. Since they have join under his banner, then he will make full use of them but not without incentives. Daniel know full well that no one would risk everything for the sake of purely defeating the orcs.

At least not for these leaders, they may have join just for a better chance of survival. Knowing that a huge group of orcs marauder are on the way and seeing honor tribe strength. But what about the future when the orcs have been push back? humans are naturally greedy for wealth and power, Daniel knows that to well.

He will give them that wealth and power on the surface to satisfy their hunger but control everything behind the scenes. None of the chieftain knew that Daniel have full control over every territory he built from the system. Unless they plan to build everything themselves. Otherwise, they won't be able to escaped his noticed.

However, those that prove their loyalty will be further rewarded. As for the traitors, they will be dealt with without mercy.

"We greet the lord!" said all of the chieftains.

Although they have only been here for a short time but hearing about the feats that Daniel had performed stun them greatly. He has defeated the orcs on more then one occasions, summon incredibly strong soldiers, and to top it off is the summoning of a city!

They can't even begin to fathom what kind of person Daniel is to accomplish all of that. But what they know is that he will lead them to a better future if everything is true. In that regard, everyone can't possibly stand on equal footing with him and needed to show appropriate respect.

'It's good that all of you are sensible, this save me the time and effort.' thought Daniel as he looked at all the chieftains.

"Please have a seat everyone, I have called all of you here for two reasons. First, is to personally thank you for your help in coming here. Secondly, there is something I want to implement but it requires your cooperation." said Daniel.

"No need to thank us lord, everyone here knows that if we don't come together. Then sooner or later the orcs will attack us." said a muscular man.

"That's right and we will surely lose if everyone fight alone." added another man beside him.

"As for what you wanted to implement, can you explain more my lord? if it within our abilities then we will surely try." said Aiden.

After everything that happens, Aiden have decided to dedicate himself wholeheartedly in fighting the orcs. So if Daniel requires his assistance then he will try to accomplish it.

Seeing Aiden eager look cause Daniel to feel a little bit uncomfortable but he ignored it within seconds and said "I want to implement a vassal system and all six of you will be my vassal under honor tribe banner. Once we have push back the orcs, I will grant each of you a territory. You will answer my call to arms when summon and pay an annual tribute in the form of gold."

"If you don't mind me asking lord but why do you need gold?"

"I plan to reuse it as a form of currency for our people once everything is settled." said Daniel.

"In that case, I can help you lord when the time comes. There's actually a gold mine near my tribe that was discovered by one of our hunter but since it is useless to us, we never bothered with it."

Hearing that there is a gold mine, Daniel entire body tremble. One has to know that he is really desperate for gold right now.

But what he heard next from the system almost made him loose his cool completely.

'WHAT!?' screamed Daniel internally.

It took some time for him to calm down and with a solemn face, he asked "what is your name?"

"My name is Jessica my lord." a little frightened by Daniel expression.

Remembering that name, he returned to the conversation and asking everyone for their opinions on being his vassal. No one objected to his proposal in the end as everyone wants to be a ruler of such magnificent city. And they didn't lose out on anything except for some soldiers to fight and gold.

Before everyone leaves, Daniel said "Jessica, stay for a bit. I have something to ask you."

Slightly surprised by Daniel initiative to ask her to stay, Jessica said "yes lord."

All of the other chieftains was envious of Jessica as everyone wants to build up a better relationship with Daniel. Some even thinking about sending there daughters to keep him company. Hell, from some of their looks it seem like they are willing to send their own wife if needed.

Once everyone have left, Daniel got to the point and said "where is the gold mine located exactly? and how far is it from here?"

Taken aback by the sudden question but after remembering that he want to reused the old form of currency.

Jessica said "if I'm not wrong then it will take about five days to reach the gold mine from here."

"Are you able to take us there right now?"

"You seri-" said Jessica but stop half way because looking at Daniel she can tell that he wasn't joking around.

Subconsciously she said "yeah sure, I will take you there."
