This dude again

Rain finally got that pass that Mr. Perry had asked for. But because she had to argue the Dean down just to get it, by the time she was done it was the 2nd hour. Meaning that all of that was a complete waste of time.

Rain walked in ready. She had a Gatorade in hand ready to drink and backpack on deck; she was fired up. Rain walks to her desk head up, shoulders square, pencil ready cause it was time for her education. She was determined, in her zone, learning was the main focus, no one was gonna stop her from doing it this time.

She's almost there until this rodent sticks out his leg and blocks her path. Rain looked up at this intruder and saw: 6'3 ugly blue-eyed, blonde-haired jock, also known as Steve Jackson blocking her path.

"Ugh, not this thing again." She thought I was preparing myself for a headache. "Hey raindrops what's up with you I haven't seen you at the movies last Friday as you promised me," Steve says greeting her with a big smirk on his face.

"Well isn't it obvious, I lied." Rain said back, moving his leg from off the desk so she could get through. Steve made a noise of disapproval making Rain roll her eyes. He was such a waste of space. Before she could completely pass he grabbed her by the waist making her freeze.

"I am beyond sick of this immigrant mother of nutcrackers with shells, he has exactly five seconds to get his hands off of me." Rain thought getting ready to backslap him into a new world.

"Um, excuse me. But if you don't unhand my besty in five seconds we're going to have some problems and I don't think we want that, do we?" Asked a jade-eyed Latino from across the room. Everyone in the class stopped and looked at her wide-eyed with fear, except Rain.

Meet Shaneil Nelson. Rain's beautiful but deadly 6'2 blonde-haired friend. They have been best friends since middle school. Steve was still messing with Rain until Shaneil came and gave him a wedgie of his life. But that's not why everyone is afraid of her. Shaneil has this thing for cutting. Okay let's not play dumb here, you need examples.

She stabbed this girl in 8th grade because she tried to steal cash from her. Cut up this boy who thought it was okay to hit females which landed him in the ICU and here's the real deal, sliced up this girl named Mary for snitching on her and getting her expelled 10th-grade year for beating up this kid who stole her spot in gym class. The girl was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Yeah, Shaneil was crazy, but luckily Rain was there to stop her.

Steve backed away from Rain and returned to his seat, fear in his eyes. Rain rolled her eyes at him and headed to her seat across the room right next to Shaneil.

"Hey, girl how's it going?" Rain asked Shaneil. Shaneil smiled that crazy smile of hers and shrugged her shoulders. "Oh you know nothing new with me, but guess what I heard," Shaneil said smiling mischievously.

Rain inches away from her not trusting that smile on her face.

"What did you do?" She questioned cautiously. If Shaneil got in trouble one more time at this school she might get kicked out permanently this time and Rain refused to go through high school alone. "What makes you think I did anything?" Shaneil asked while throwing her head back still smiling. Her smile was kind of starting to creep Rain out.

"Well then what is it, Ms. Perfect?" Rain prodded wanting to know now. Shaneil was such a gossip girl always happening to know what was going on at the school first.

"Fine but only because you asked. We have a new kid coming to school and guess what, he's hot." Shaneil gushed excitedly while Rain groaned. This is just what their school needed, another boy for the girls to ogle, and another headache to hear about all day. Stuff like this just gets really tiring after a while.

"So when is he coming since you seem to know so much about him?" Rain asked while taking her books out of her book sack. They had exactly ten minutes before the teacher came in. If you didn't have your materials for his class then you automatically get a 0 for the day.

"Hey, I didn't say all of that I just said he's coming. I bet he has a stupid name, all hot guys seem to have that these days." Shaneil said, turning to face the board when the teacher walked in leaving Rain with her thoughts.

"Maybe just maybe this boy won't be so bad. Maybe he'll be different. Oh well, only time will tell, I'll just have to wait and see."Rain thought before quietly scoffing at those ridiculous thoughts.

She picked up her pencil and pushed all the foolishness to the back of her mind. The class had just started and the gossip could wait till later. It's not like it was going anywhere after all.
