Nice to Meet You Psycho

They finally reached the nurses office. The guy who helped Rain was now late for class with her but suggested that he didn't mind. He decided to hang around outside until the nurse was sure that Rain was fine and didn't have to go home.

When the nurse gave Rain the okay to leave he grabbed her bag from her and asked her what class she had next. "Why?" Rain asked him and watched in curiosity.

"I just want to know. Besides you never know, we might have a class together." He said waiting for her answer. Rain shrugged her shoulder carelessly. It was just a class anyway.

"I have History next." Rain said. "Cool, I follow you there." He said casually, waiting for her to show me the lead.

Rain let out an amused smile at this and proceeded to walk towards her next class. "So, what's your name kid?" He asked, making Rain frown. "I'm not a kid first and second my name's not important until I know yours."

"Geez, okay my name's Tye." Rain blinked at this making Tye look stop walking. "Really, Tye. That's your name! What an embarrassment. What were your parents thinking they named you after a tie!" Rain exclaimed stifling a laugh making him glare at her offended.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. My name has to be better than yours. So what is it?" He said rudely. Rain let out a small smirk.

"Rain."

"You're telling me that your parents named you based on the water cycle. Ha! And you're claiming that my name is a joke. Your parents are just a messed up kid." Tye laughed, making Rain kick him in his shin.

"Ouch! What the heck psycho?!" Tye yelled clutching his leg and dropping Rain's bag onto the ground. Rain crossed her arms satisfied at his pain. "It's impolite to make fun of other people's name's." Tye's mouth dropped in shock at these accusations. "Aren't you the one the one who started it?!"

Rain picked up her bag and dusted it off before slinging it onto her back. She started walking away not bothering to answer his idiotic question. Tye watched her walk away unamused. This is what he got for trying to help people.

"Well, nice to meet you too psycho!" He called out before standing on the now empty hall feeling completely abandoned.

Later that day Rain was chilling outside by the front of the school. Shaneil was taking a test and Rain decided to wait on her so they could go to Momma's house together. Of course Rain was supposed to be in class too but just couldn't find it in herself to go.

But Shaneil came...eventually.

She came 30 minutes later with a sandwich in her mouth and books in her hand. Rain narrowed her eyes at her suspiciously.

"Did you go to lunch?" She exclaimed, offended. Shaneil laughed nervously hiding the sandwich behind her back. Rain's eyes widened in betrayal making Shaneil rush to explain herself.

"Look, Rain it was just that--I mean-- I was testing for hours and-- I'm sorry!" Rain started to walk off completely enraged. This was the second time Shaneil did this to her. It was already hot out, she was hungry, and she forgot to put on deodorant. Rain felt like she was really being tested today.

"She didn't even bring me one!" Rain fumed hearing Shaneil pleading for her forgiveness in the background.

"Rain, wait up! Come on Raindrop, I said sorry!" Shaneil yelled, struggling to catch up. Rain wasn't even walking fast so she knew Shaneil needed to workout more. Rain ignored her pleads and kept on walking knowing that she'll be following behind her anyway. Shaneil hated when Rain was upset with her and wouldn't go away until they worked things out. She never left Rain alone upset like this and never would.

Rain saw Momma's house insight and stopped walking waiting for Shaneil to catch up impatiently. With her back to Shaneil, Rain heard her panting and heavy heaving. Rain rolled her eyes, Shaneil was so dramatic.

"Raaaain, I'm sorry! Please forgive me!" Shaneil said with her eyes filling with tearing. Rain rolled her eyes at this too. She almost forgot how much of a crybaby Shaneil was too.

"Fine, Sha of course I forgive you--" Shaneil tackled her into a hug making her go flying to the ground with the air knocked from her chest.

"Not again." Rain thought in agony. Shaneil was a hugger too. It also didn't help that she weighed at least 155 pounds compared to Rain's 125.

Rain patted her back awkwardly as Shaneil sobbed on her shoulder in joy. The itchy grass was really starting to get to her also. "Shaneil...air...please." Rain gasped out desperately. Shaneil let out a dramatic gasp before rolling off of Rain worried.

Rain sat up completely grateful and let out a relieved breath of air.

Shaneil helped pull her up on her feet and dust her off. "Sorry?" She said sheepishly, making Rain roll her eyes again before dragging her towards Momma's front door and knocking.
