When You Find Him Bleeding And You Are A Doctor (Tae) Pt.1

"I told him that I have to go home early!" You yelled out loud not giving a damn that it was way past midnight. But you found it so unfair that all these people are in the comfort of their homes, and you just got off work because of your stubborn boss. Even though you checked up on all your patients, you finished your surgeries and the only thing left was you to go home.

"I told him I would get the damn paperwork done by early morning," you kept on mumbling to yourself as you hugged your coat closer to you. The coldness was nonetheless still finding its way into your bones. You sniffed as your nose got runny from the cold.

You can already foresee the fever that you are going to wake up to on the morrow. What a day to start your weekend? You scoffed to yourself as you released a deep sigh. Giving up on complaining, was only going to worsen your headache, which was unbearable in this cold anyway.

You inhaled the sharp cold air, feeling it freeze your warm lungs inside, an attempt to take your mind off the anger that was coursing in your veins but it wasn't helping. It was only making you go colder.

"I just want to go home," you whined as you dragged your feet underneath you. Feeling the tears in the back of your eyes, but at this point, you knew that crying was only going to make it worse, the last thing that you wanted are frozen tears.

How more miserable could you get!? A 26 year's old female doctor, single as single can be, going home at the crack of dawn because of your position-abusing boss. You could paint your black and gray feature so clearly in your head. More sleepless nights, all-nighters, and full-days shifts, and a lot of patients. So much for graduating on top of your class. The thought made you chuckle annoyingly.

The familiar street where your apartment lied never felt so comfortable to you as it did now. The familiar buzzing light from your neighbor's porch that they never get fixed, the gray old building that you were going to move out from soon. The reminder that you finally got yourself a new apartment after all these years of saving made your day a little brighter.

But that all changed when you heard the running footsteps from behind you – several actually. It was too early and too late for someone to go jogging. You clenched over your bag's strap, dropping your head to the ground. You didn't dare look behind you, but as the footsteps got louder and louder as they got closer to you didn't leave you much of a choice here.

Your head twisted slowly, hoping that it was the wind causing some branches to rattle together but then again…since when did branches rattling sound so much like human footsteps?! You proved your point as your slowly made out the 5 men in black as they hurried in your direction.

You couldn't tell what they were saying from this distance but, you could see that they weren't very happy. And you are the only one on this street, and these were 5 bulky gangsters…what were you supposed to do?!

Normal humans would just run for the hills, even it was the last thing that they would do but…as you were far from being a normal human, you just kept on walking casually like nothing is going on. You had one hand in your bag ready to pull out your scalpel at any second to defend yourself.

Your eyes kept glancing back at them as they got closer. The closer they got the more you felt your legs give in underneath your weight.

"Miss!"

"Holy shit," you cursed under your breath, forcing your frozed feet to walk faster.

"We just want to ask you something!" a bulky voice came from behind you, from how it sounded you knew that there was no use running.

Slowly you turned to see this bold and bulky man as he struggled to catch his breath. "W-What can I do for you?" you slapped yourself inside. What possibly could he want from you! You thought that you were going to walk up tomorrow to your aching body but from the looks of this…you had no tomorrow.

"Did you see a tall man in black," the bulky man asked. "He could have been bleeding too."

You barely stopped yourself from begging for your life before processing the words. You blinked a couple of times before actually trying to remember if you have seen such a person. You shook your head. "No, I didn't," you said as you narrowed your eyes questioningly.

"Are you sure Miss?" he asked again. "We are sure he ran this way."

"I'm sure if I have seen a bleeding man then I would have noticed," you raised an eyebrow at him, a wave of courage washed over you all of a sudden. The man blinked as well a couple of times as he bought what you were telling him.

"Alright, thank you so much, Miss," he thanked you before turning around to yell at his mates. "What are you waiting for! Find him!"

And with that, your first time talking to a gangster was over. You almost collapsed to the ground from relief as it washed over you. You leaned over to the wall that was next to you as you placed a hand over your heart and took deep breaths.

"How hard can it be to go home?" you mumbled to yourself. As you thought about what the gangster asked you, you found it weird but who are you judge a gangster's life-style?

Just as you straightened your back and ready to literally run home, you heard a grown coming from the alley that was next to you.

"Is that a cat?" you asked no one, and then you answered your own stupid question. "Wait… cats don't groan." At this point, you were questioning your sanity. You weren't even thinking of what dangers could happen to you right now.

You took confident strides as you walked into the alleyway. The first thing that struck you was the smell, the strong smell of the blood floating in the air and itching your nosetrils. As you narrowed your eyes to see as the light from the street didn't reach here. You saw deep red color tainting the white of the snow on the ground.

"Blood…" you felt your breath get caught in your lungs, not far from the pool of blood you saw blood-stained boots as you followed along with it…there it – he actually was.

A man groaning hard, his chest barely moving, blood was poring out of a wound to his abdomen rapidly, the only thing that was holding it was his beautifully delicate hands. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING AT A TIME LIKE THIS!!

Your doctor self got the best of you. Your bag fell to the floor as you went on your knees next to the man. Your eyes panicking not knowing what to do. You looked up at this face to see his dark orbs looking at you through his permed hair that was sticking with sweat to his forehead.

You couldn't stop yourself from thinking how beautiful he looked. You blinked yourself back to reality, finally moving your hands to apply pressure on his wound gaining a groan from him as he moved his head sideways.

"A-are you the one they are looking for?" you couldn't help but ask as you tried to get your phone from your bag.

He blankly stared at you with no reply. But you could see that he fitted the describtion perfectly. A tall man in black, and he was definitely bleeding.

You were finally able to get your phone to dial 911 before his blood smeared-beautiful hands held yours.

"N-No hospitals," he groaned. Even his voice was hot, sending shivers down your spine – not that you minded it.

"O-Okay no hospitals," you said seeing how his eyes were shutting down. "Oh no, no, don't sleep. Keep your eyes open!" your hands moved to the nape of his neck. Your hands were stopped again with his hands.

"Hey, I only want to check your pulse okay?" you said. "I'm a doctor and believe me, you are going to die if we don't stop the bleeding fast." The determination in your voice made him give in, and you checked his pulse.

Before you could do anything the yells from the men earlier were echoing around you. "Shit," you cursed. "Okay…okay. I got this." You talked to yourself ignorant of the way that he was staring at you.

"Look, if we kept walking this way we will get to my home," you said slowly in the same way that you talk to your patients to explain their diagnosis. "Bare with me and we can get you stitched up, okay?"

He nodded.
