When You Find Him Bleeding And You Are A Doctor (Tae) Pt.2

You half dragged and half carried this mysterious bleeding yet a hot man to your apartment. Your right shoulder was already numb from both his weight and the freezing weather. But you paid little attention to your own pain.

This man was bleeding fast, there was only so much the pressure from your hands can do. A voice kept screaming in your head that he was going to die on you right there and now. If that were to happen…then this man will mark your first dead patient since you started practicing medicine.

When your eyes met him, you could see that he was barely hanging on. His eyes were weakly fluttering as he struggled to take his breath in this cold. You just realized how thin layers of clothes he was wearing, you took off your scarf and wrapped it around his neck, making sure to cover his face from the cold, trying to warm him as much as you could.

You looked ahead of you and there was the entrance to your apartment. The first thing that you started thinking of was what you were going to do once you are in there, you tried to locate everything that might be used as a surgical tool to help stitch this man up.

But worse…you don't have an anesthetic. You had to do it while he is awake.

Before long, you burst your apartment's door, your hands involuntarily reached for the lights, revealing your neat space. You slammed the door open with your feet as you trampled your way to the bed. Lying him down, turning on your heels to get to work before you felt a weak grip on your waist.

You turned, he was looking at you with his half-opened eyes, clearly, he didn't have the energy to talk. "I'm only going to get the stuff that I will need," You said soothingly as you softly brushed your hands over his, putting it back on his chest as it rose and fell struggling for breath.

You saw from the way that he was looking at you that he was comforted by your simple words, almost like a child that you want to quiet. "And eyes on me! Don't you dare close them?" You pointed at him before you darted off running around the apartment, getting everything that you might need.

You thanked God for the surgical tools that you have in your closet, nothing fancy but at least it had the surgical thread and everything you need to sew him up. Now was the hard part, you needed something to knock him down.

The only thing that you had was painkillers. "Will enough of that lessen his pain," you talked to yourself as you glance back and forth between the bottle in your hands and the man on your bed. "If I don't do anything he will die anyway!" you slapped yourself mentally and ran back to him.

"Okay, I need you to look at me," you said, holding his face with both hands. Your warm touch on his freezing face was enough for him to lessen the pain. "I don't have anything to knock you down while I sew you, okay? I only can lessen the pain."

He weakly nodded, your hands were now at the open wound on his abdomen. You almost swore that you heard him whine from the sudden loss of touch.

You took a deep breath, your hands already in gloves. You took the scissors and started to rip off the blazer along with his shirt – though you were sad because of the ruining of a good suit.

"Okay," you said as you started to examine it carefully, using the flashlight of your phone for help. "I don't see any internal injuries from the knife. Now the only thing that I have to do is close you up and close the bleeding." You thanked God for that. But it also made sense, if any of his organs were injured he wouldn't have made it this far.

And so you started…you sewed him up. Thought the tiny flinch that he did from the pain whenever the needle came in contact with his skin made your heart tear apart.

But you got to say that he was handling the pain well. Just as you were finishing him up, your eyes caught the scars that were on his other side, and one that was extending to his back. "A mark of a true gangster, eh?" you mumbled a little out loud as you bandaged the wound carefully.

You finally rose to your feet, noticing how your knees were all numb from the uncomfortable position you were sitting in. "Okay, I'm all done," you said. "The only thing that we should be careful of is infection. But for now, I'm going to give you something to help you sleep, alright?"

"W-why…"

"Eh?" you uttered not believing that you heard his voice again for the second time. "Well, because you need to rest of course." You narrowed your eyes as you didn't understand why waste his energy over such a question.

"Anyway, you can sleep here till morning,' you said, pulling the blankets from the other end of the bed to cover him. You watched as his eyes closed, and that was it, he was already in deep slumber.

"What have I gotten myself into?" you whined as you collapsed on the couch, thanking every god out there that tomorrow was your day off.

The night passed very smoothly, despite all the tiredness you found no nightmares, you slept like a child. But that all stopped when you woke up startled from the loud thud that hit your ears. "What's going on!" Your eyes fluttered open, the first thing that you looked at was the stranger in your house.

Well…he was there but no longer on the bed, but half grabbing onto the bed and half falling down.

You flung off the couch as you started to approach him. "What do you think you are doing!!" you yelled in your half-asleep form. "Get back to bed right now!" you grabbed his arm helping him up. You weren't ignorant to his weak attempts to push you off.

"Hands off me woman," he groaned as he sat on the bed with a hand over the bandage that was starting to get tainted with blood.

You inhaled sharply. "You need to change the bandage," you said, holding out your hand to him only for it to be slapped away.

"Hands off," he hissed again his eyes were now furious yet you could see the taint of pain in them.

"Look here Mister," you said standing up straight crossing your arms over your chest. "You might not die from bleeding like yesterday but, if we leave this wound without care, you are most definitely going to die from infection and there is nothing I can do about that. So you either be thankful that I didn't take you to the hospital in your sorry-assed state yesterday! I risked my damn license doing this!!" you yelled out running a hand in your bed hair.

The stranger was blinking at you, taken aback by the sudden outburst. "Now, are you going to let me treat you or no!?" the way you put it made it clear that no was not an option because you were going to knock him down if you had to. This man won't become your first death, and definitely not because of a stupid knife wound.

He nodded his head in hesitation as he looked at his feet. With that you sighed your anger away, turning around to get it this done with. It took you 15 minutes to carefully change it and disinfect the wound properly.

You finally released the breath that you have been holding all this time, interrupted midway by the buzzing of your phone. The number dialing only brought a frown to your face that he didn't fail to notice.

"What Catherine?" you answered. "It's not my shift today!" you yelled at the phone. The man just looked back and forth in the room trying to ignore you.

"Alright fine! I will be there in 10!" you hanged up and turned to look at him. "As heard I'm going to head to the hospital for around an hour, you have everything that you might need in the fridge, you have the bathroom. Do you have anyone to come to pick you up from here?"

He looked at you with his dark eyes, almost as if he didn't understand what you were saying. His hair was a curled mess around his head but it still wasn't enough for him to stop looking hot. He finally realized that he was supposed to give you a reply.

"No, I can't leave right now," he said. It was the first time that you heard his natural voice without being filtered with anger or pain. And you loved how it sounded if only he could fix that foul personality of his.

You nodded your head. You knew that it was because of those guys from last night, and you also know that it isn't your place to ask anything of him. "Can you at least tell me your name?" your curiosity got the better of you.

He gazed at you in the eyes before his mouth opened to give a reply. "Taehyung, My name is Kim Taehyung."
