Ch 25 "Put the mask on Lorraine!"

The fear of next , the fear of future , people always think about what's next...is it good or bad , will it be tough or easy , curiosity is the main problem if people just mind their business and focused on present maybe the result won't be that bad , when I just think about it I put useless hopes and expectations that didn't happen and the result was shocking , if I just stopped thinking and lived my life....show more than tell , maybe my life now would be better

I was packing my things for tomorrow , tomorrow I will return back home , to my prison , my heart was so heavy I feel suffocated around them , a tear escaped my eye while I was putting my clothes inside my suitcase but once I heard a knock on the door I wiped my tear quickly

"Come in!" I said focusing on what I am doing

"Lorraine...packing your things already?" Lucinda spoke in a low voice sitting beside my suitcase , I placed a little smile on my face and sighed looking at her , collecting myself

"You know I have to return back , plus we are not that far from each other , I will contact with you daily and I promise I will come here from time to time maybe sleepover who knows maybe I will live here?" I said chuckling trying to light up the mood but she was silent "Lucy come on!" I pinched her arm

"Let me call him , I will tell him to make you stay with us for a bit I know he won't reject-" She was about to stand up but I grabbed her arm and made her sit back on the bed

"No need Lucinda....seriously no need in fact I really miss dad , also I wanna check on Sandra and her baby...I guess it will be fine okay , COME ON IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD YOU DRAMATIC LITTLE SHIT!" I jumped on her and started tickling her and so we started to play together like we use to

"Lorraine LORRAINE COME ON- enough UGH!" she was talking almost out of breath we didn't even notice aunt Carla who was leaning on the door admiring us with a warm smile

"Carla....you freaked me out!" I said while putting my hand on my chest

"I did? sorry honey I didn't mean to scare you at all , I just wanted to watch you girls having fun!"

"Then why don't you join us mom?" Lucinda went and grabbed her arm

"Me no no no!"

"Come on Carla we will have so much fun!"

"I am not young like you two , spare me!" she said moving back but me and Lucy grabbed her and made her join us

"NEVER MOM!"

we started running and playing , splashing water and running , I just...hoped that this day won't end , I wanted to stay longer

but soon...time's up and it's gonna be late since I need to go to college then straight to my home , saying the word mine feel strange since Sandra joined us , but I have to put my feeling and everything a side when I reach there , but then I remembered something

"Carla will dad refuse to let me continue my sessions at , Miss Heather....please don't say yes"

"No he won't , I told him already about that don't worry!" she said patting my head giving me a good vibe

"And...what did he say exactly?" I asked

She sighed before speaking "He refused at first , telling me you need to focus more on your studies and...that this idea is just a waste of time you know Josh....but I insisted....I know he won't break my word okay don't worry , follow your dreams Lorraine...don't let anyone whoever that person is to break you hmm this world full of cruelty you just need to light it up for you on your own style"

I paused for a second then I returned to her and nodded

"Don't worry I got this.."

"So Lorraine mom? I need to sleep , I feel SOOOO tired and I wanna sleep with Lorraine today"

"As if I didn't , fine..goodnight Carla!"

The next day I prepared myself and everything was ready , I just took myself and went straight to my college after I had my breakfast with aunt Carla and Lucinda then I left , we didn't have an actual goodbye since aunt Carla will be the one to take me home so I will see both of them again before I leave , each second pass I feel my heart clench , Emma and Chloe were trying tried their best to release my stress but just think about it I feel...more nervous

"Lorraine relax , just because he got married and spent time with his new wife doesn't make him ignore you" Chloe said rubbing my palm

"Yeah Lorraine , come on he will ignore you and focus with her more than you how come , he lived with you your whole life and she just know nothing about your dad comparing to you , please be more optimistic" Emma added

"Hmmm after Sandra's pregnancy tsk I don't think so"

Awkward silence for the 12th time , I still can't believe that dad will act the same like normally our relation is not that strong and now it's getting weaker and weaker

"Lorraine sweetie , please don't stress on yourself and don't think about it you really won't know what will happen until you go through it , till then fresh up yourself....here take this iced-coffee I know you like it" Chloe said smiling

"Chloe I-"

"shush shush less talking more...drinking I guess hehe"

"Chloe you never change , clumsy stupid ass" Emma spoke casually shaking her head in a dramatic way

"You are such annoying person Emma" Chloe responded

"Stop you two-" A phone call interrupted me , I replied without seeing the contact name "Hello?"

"Lorraine.."

I froze and my smile faded , because the caller is actually

"Dad.."

"Your dad?!" Emma whispered

"Hi honey , where are you , I am waiting at the gate pack your things quick okay!"

"Okay..I will be in 5"

"Great!"

i closed with him and turned to the girls with tears in my eyes and a weak smile that I kept it the whole day , they came and hugged me tightly

"It's okay , it's okay really.." Chloe said caressing on my hair

"Lorraine don't worry we will contact you almost every hour okay wipe your tears hmm!" Emma added

"..Fine"

"That's my girl...now take a deep breath and go , once you return home and refresh yourself call me or Chloe"

"Yes we will be active!"

"Alright , gotta go bye.."

"Bye"

"Bye Lor.."

I went outside and found my father inside the car talking with someone through his phone , I silently went to the passenger seat without talking

"Oh honey I got Lorraine....we will be home in 15 mins........yeah....yeah I love you too...bye!"

Another silence , so he was talking to Sandra ha...who am I blaming....a person talking with his wife am I wrong to feel a bit bad

He coughed grabbing my attention

"Why silence?" He said focusing on the road

"Oh...um..nothing I guess?"

"Did you enjoy your time with aunt Carla and Lucinda?"

"Yes...a lot , I will miss them so much!"

"Don't worry we will meet them again soon!" He said still didn't give me one glance which made me boil in anger , like hello I am here , But I sucked all in

"Isn't aunt Carla who supposed to take me?"

"Yes but no need , I told her to stay....because I missed you and I wanted to take you myself!"

A slight smile was on my face , but it fade away fast when he spoke again

"Sandra can't wait to meet you , she is a bit tired from the pregnancy symptoms , she is so clumsy tho" He ended his speech with a giggle

"Yeah , I can't wait to see her too..."
