Suddenly ... Everything goes black, I couldn't see anything. You feel a deep silence, that silence was so deep that I could hear my heartbeat. And a very cozy calm. It felt like he was in nowhere, floating on a cloud ...
When that subject became aware of himself, he stood up very excited, his heart beating rapidly, so fast that it seemed that he was going to leave his chest. A cold sweat like winter runs down his body. He did not know where he was, nor that he had passed. The first thing he sees when he opens his eyes is white grass, like snow, and around him were trees with gray bark and white leaves. It was a quiet place. That man looks up at him to see what would be a red sky, like blood and totally black clouds. A warm, gentle breeze hitting his face. It was a totally weird and terrifying place. Out of nowhere comes a deep voice, which slowly whispers in the ear of that confused man, saying:
-Warrior ... I know that this place you are in seems empty like your own memories, but everything will become clear when you walk towards the forest in front of you. After that everything will be revealed little by little. - Said the whispering voice as he faded into nothingness.
After that strange voice silently disappeared from the place. The whole environment began to change color. The grass and the canopy of those white trees turned green, the bark took on a dark oak color leaving the gray behind, and the night sky was illuminated with the stars of the sky and the warm and pleasant breeze turned cold. At night what illuminated the most was the moon of the place, which although it looked identical to the full moon, was strange and enormous in size and beauty. The aforementioned warrior plucked up his courage and took steps forward, without any idea if that was the right path.
As he took his first steps, yellow lights like a chandelier began to be seen within the depths of the dark and a little gloomy forest. When he decides to go towards those warm lights he came to a vial made of stoneware with oak in the center. This oak tree had reddish leaves and a very dark brown, almost black bark. The flask was well lit by streetlights. It had a couple of iron benches. But around that small square, there were only trees and mist.
From the depths of the dark forest a silhouette appeared in the distance, it seemed that of a man. It was kind of creepy to watch. As he approached the light of the stone plaza, they were seeing his features. He is a five-foot-four man, wearing polished brown leather shoes, gray silk dress pants, a dark gray jacket, a black waistcoat, a purple shirt, and a gray tie with thin vertical gold stripes. . Although his appearance inspired a certain air of elegance, his face was covered by the shadow of a dark gray hood with golden edges and at the tip of the hood a bright crimson red. This hood is attached to a gray cape that ran all over his body until it reached the ground. The man said in a calm voice.
-Welcome you Björn Ganger… I hope you feel comfortable in this meeting place. I imagine you will have many questions. At the moment I will not be able to answer your questions. What is important is that you have to know that I am a sorcerer. The greatest that exists, existed, and will exist, in this and in countless dimensions. Despite my power, I am sealed and condemned without being able to feel the soft kiss of death to give me rest from my infinite torture. If you help me you will be immensely rewarded. In the short time, you are here I will be testing you and sending you to countless tests that will push you to the limit. If you are victorious, you will become stronger. Before I send you to your first test, which will be to see your strengths and weaknesses ... Do you have any questions before your departure?
-I would like to know who I am and how I got here- said the warrior puzzled by everything that was happening and wanting to know what was going to happen.
-You are a rare warrior. Whose history is both glorious and painful. In your youth, you were trained since you had enough strength to lift an ax. You were born into a line of legends and part of a guild that influenced fear just by naming it. But unfortunately, that same fear caused an internal war that destroyed your entire family. The only thing that saved you from certain death was the decision of your father, who was one of the most respected warriors in that place called Wessex. He made the decision not to let you fight that battle. Since he knew that with your little experience they would slaughter you without mercy ... Your mother as the last act of love. He left you in a little boat. Before she shot an arrow through her chest. She left you enough supplies for 3 days and in an angry sea ...
Wessex-Devonshire
Year: 872
Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean that young man, barely 15 years old. He was shipwrecked in an inhospitable sea. A young man with little hope of life. He is floating in a small boat somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.
With cold and hunger. The breeze that he blew off the sea was cold and arid. The ship was so small that he could barely move a bit, it was damp and his clothes were wet too.
The poor young man already had his vision blurred by the dry sea air that surrounded him, his eyes were irritated. He had already eaten the few rations his mother had given him before she died, he was very hungry, so much so that she was already having trouble moving his body. He felt weak and wasted. He was dying and on the verge of death. But suddenly the poor young man saw a ship that was in the distance. That ship would make the difference between life and death. With the last of his strength, he raised a cry to the air so that the ship would be aware of his presence. The scream sounded like that of a person whose insides had been torn apart.
After giving that scream, he passed out in that little boat. He had used the last of his strength to give that cry for help. The ship approached and the crew carried the dying young man onto the deck. Björn Ganger opened her eyes after having slept for a whole day and night. He was awakened by the soft gleams of the sun at dawn. The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was the silhouette of those crew members who saved him from certain death. He tried to thank them, but the crew did not understand what he was saying. He couldn't see well who it was that saved his life because he was blinded by the sunlight, so he only saw silhouettes. The crew came closer to see if he was okay. At that moment the silhouette of the people around him became clearer.
The confused young man jumped from the surprise that he took when he saw that his saviors were women with strange features for him. It was a merchant ship manned only by women. After that rare moment, the young man began to come to himself. The ship's crew offered him some freshwater, as the young man looked very dehydrated. Suddenly a woman of adult appearance approached, about 37 years old at most. She saw the young man for a moment and then she laughed and said some words to her companions, which the young man did not understand, but she noticed that when she finished they all began to laugh, which gave her to understand that they were making fun of him.
What she said in her language was:
-The only man we found in a giant sea and it had to be a boy. Let's see if he can resist cleaning the entire ship as payment for saving him from death. She said the captain of the ship in Japanese as she held a small smile on her face and she looked at young Björn.
The young boy also laughed a bit, but ignorantly of course he ...
Over the course of the day, Björn gradually regained strength. He was no longer in that little boat where his mother left him before she died. He didn't feel so cold anymore and his clothes were starting to dry out. But he still felt waste inside remembering that he had lost his entire family. He felt so many emotions stirring inside him that he didn't know whether to cry or scream. At that moment he reminded his father that he always told her that he had to be brave and remain calm in every situation. He also remembered what his mother told him, she told him that he was a Viking and Vikings always have to act with courage and honor so that when he died he would go up to Valhalla and meet them. Björn last remembered that his father was a great Viking and his mother a squire. He had to be strong and face all his adversities with courage. That way when he died he would meet them in Valhalla.
One of the women approached him with a bucket and mop. The woman didn't speak to him because she knew she wouldn't understand her, so she just gave him a bucket and showed him for a few minutes how she should clean the cover from her. I hand him the mop. She pointed her finger at the ground and then at the mop in the young man's hand. Young Björn clearly understood what he was trying to tell her. He did not refuse since he had nowhere else to go and in some way, he had to thank them for saving his life.
When he got dark Björn was very exhausted since he had only had water and had not eaten anything yet. A crew member brought him a tray with bread and some water. That would be his dinner. After not eating for so long, Björn saw that piece of stale bread as if it were a delicacy from the gods. He was happy and ate it right away. After eating he noticed that they were all walking towards a barrel and sitting in a circle around that barrel with an oil lamp on top of it. That illuminated that section of the ship. When they had been talking for a while, the captain approached to speak with the rest o f the crew. BJörn was watching them talk to each other. The captain turned her head to where Björn was standing and motioned for him to join her circle. Björn approached with doubt and fear. He sat down next to them. The captain pointed at the lamp and began repeating the same word over and over again
-Ranpu- said the captain repeatedly as she pointed to the lantern and saw Björn
Björn understood that they were teaching her to say lantern in his language. He realized that he would have to strain to learn his language quickly since he did not know how long he was going to last on that ship. He didn't know if he would spend the rest of his life as the slave of those merchant sailors.
-From now on they will have to teach the boy some words so that he understands us. An assistant is of no use if he does not know what to ask. When he understands us, he will make it easy for him to know what are the tasks that he has to do and thus it will be easier to send him. This boy looks like he is lost in his thoughts. Look at that stupid face that wears out.
