Chapter 8

Cathy's  POV:

Laying in bed I debated weather I should go to school shortly after my alarm rang, if I go to school I get to see Ashton if I don't I'm saving myself from what could possibly be the worst day of my life. I'm not sure why I felt like this, was the Boston incident finally hitting me? Or was I just overwhelmed by everything that's been going on with Ashton and its piling over my feelings for Noah, it's not like I wanted to break up with him but it broke my heart when he cheated, it takes knowing your worth to walk away from it and that's what I did but why am I second guessing this. Whatever the reason was I'm not going to school today. I dragged my feet out of my bed and downstairs to see everyone having breakfast

"Cathy aren't you going to school?" My mom asked concerned

"No I don't feel up to it" I replied, look at that maybe she does care

"At lest have some breakfast, I made bacon" my dad chimed in

"I wouldn't have gotten out of my room if I hadn't smelt bacon"

"So you" Kaylee said, today she was dressed in her football jersey

"Why're you wearing that, isn't it only for practices and stuff?" I asked her curiously

"We're practicing all day today because of the big upcoming season, there's going to be lots of games you and Ashton should come" she invited

"Why're you inviting Ashton?" I curiously asked

"Because you guys are friends?"

"I'm also friends with Keira, so tell me what do you know?" This probably wasn't the best conversation to have in front of your parents but I don't think they care about this stuff

"Iknowthatyoutwokissedatthelake"

"Woah woah woah slow down"

"I know that you two kissed at the lake" she admitted and sighed

"How do you know?!"

"Calum's younger sister, Mali and I are friends, she overheard Ashton tell Calum and then told me"

"You need to stop interfering in my life" I said as I sighed

"Alright alright"

"So who's Ashton?" Mom asked, out of all the days she could care why today?

"A friend" I said as I sat on the table to take a bite of the bacon

"Sure" Kaylee said as she scoffed

"Well if your friend ever wants to sleep over just ask me first" mom said

"MOM! It's not like that"

"Anyways, Kaylee we have to go or you're going to be late and so am I" mom said as they picked up their stuff and left, dad was packing his things up to leave for work

Finally I had the place to myself.
