After what happened between her and Stan, Madeline knew she couldn't go back. So she decided to move in with Marge until she was able to find her place. After weeks of extensive searching, she finally finds something she can afford.
It's a partially furnished, modest two-bedroom apartment a few blocks from her friend. It has a tiny walkthrough kitchen on the left side and a small front room on the right with two small bedrooms in the back.
With an officer by her side, Madeline decided to collect her belongings from the prison disguised as a home.
Madeline is taken aback when she sees Stan for the first time in months. He looks old and haggard like he hasn't slept in weeks. His clothes are wrinkled and stained like he's worn them for days.
I bet you miss me now, she thinks, shuffling past.
"Can we talk about this?" Stan asks as she walks past again.
"There's nothing left to say."
