Katelyn didn't want to be a defiant child, getting into trouble every day, but something deep inside her keeps pushing her to do terrible things. It was a force that was beyond her control. 
Since no one seems to understand her or the struggles she's forced to face, she's left to deal with the voices in her head on her own.
This story is about one girl's struggle with mental illness and the social stigma of having a mental disease.

Demons in My Head

 The quiet little neighborhood wakes to sirens coming from every which way. Glancing out their windows, the neighbors see patrol cars lining both sides of the streets. Some lookie-loos have assembled on their lawns. 


Joe's at the corner of the lot barking out orders to his crew. "I want patrol to canvas the neighborhood. Rachel, I want you to talk to the maid. Jerry and I will take a look around." 


Joe and Jerry see a forensic tec working down the hall when they step into the house. Approaching them, the captain asks. "What can you tell me, Kirk?" 


"There are no signs of forced entry or a struggle. " Picking up a bronze statue, Kirk continues. "I believe this is our murder weapon. I checked for fingerprints and found three sets. I'll run them when I get back to our lab. I also found this lying beside the victim's head." He holds up a small clear envelope. "According to the pattern on the button and a few stray threads, I'd say it came from a woman's navy blue jacket."
