As I came crashing down onto the pavement, several Duskwalkers were surrounding me. 'Time to use the special skills school taught me.' Taking a deep breath and reaching into the depths of my diaphragm, I let out a deafening howl, sending them backwards. Nathan stares at me, aghast and intrigued at what he just witnessed. Seeing that now the Duskwalkers are stunned, I take that time to shift back to my human form. Snarling and canines bared, I look back into my memories of Element class. That is the thing about shifters, we can access the elements of Fire, Water, Air, and the sound barrier to our advantage.

Swiping my right arm to the right and punching the air with my left arm, a flame from a nearby lantern comes to my fist, ablaze. The Duskwalkers grunt and slowly pick themselves up from the pavement. "Hey! Are you guys going to be tortoises or are we going to fight already?" I grin in a battle stance. "Lets get her! I can't be humiliated like this. Not when I was just promoted!" The leader growls. As they come at me, I throw flames at most of them, knocking them back. When I come face to face with the leader, I make a jump kick straight at his face, making him hiss out of pain, he chuckles and sprints towards Nathan. "Aria!" Nathan yells to me in fear, surrounded by three Duskwalkers, against a wall, one of them being the leader. "Really Nathan? Now? I'm busy!" I cry out as one of the grunts tries to punch me. As the leader grabs Nathan's neck and rams his head against the wall, I make a forcefield around me and run towards him. "Uh, Boss?" The three other Duskwalkers mumble in fear. "What?! What is so important right now?!" The leader yells. They point towards me sprinting with my ice forcefield shining. "Oh." was the only word he could he could get out of his mouth before I ripped him off Nathan.

The leader grunts when being shoved into the wall, being frustrated, he hisses. " Screw this! Let's just let Bradley to deal with you. If he wants you then he can get off his ass and do it himself! Right boys?" The others just scurry away, sinking into the shadows. "Guys?" He double takes at them and me, face filled with fear. "Uhm, you'll regret this Fisco! I. Marcus will-" "Dude, let's go! There's pecan pie in the commissary. Faith is cooking tonight!" Marcus sighs in disappointment and starts slowly walking out of my grasp and walking away. "You'll regret today! I promise!" he yells when he sprints into the night. I look at Nathan who was gaping at me like I solved life's greatest mystery. "What? Do I have something on my face?" Nathan shakes his head violently. "No, you're just amazing! In high school who was the shy kid that sang in karaoke Friday's! Who knew you were like this? A Werewolf! An element bender! An assassin, a killing machine! A badass!" Nathan rambles. "We prefer Shifters, and I get it, let's just go already!" I huff. "Alright- Erph!" He clutches his head in pain. " Hey are you alright? You don't look so good. Did he give you a concussion when he hit you?" I ask concerned for his wellbeing. "I'm fine, just a little light-head..." Nathan collapses on the pavement. "Hey!" I kneel down and check his pulse, 'thank god, you just fainted. He seen too much, sigh. Lex is not going to like this, but I have to bring him with me.' As I shift, I put Nathan's unconscious form onto me and start walking home.

"Hey! Lex, Aria's back!" Bransen yells from the gate. He sees me struggling to walk and with Nathan on my shoulders. "Hey, are you alright? Who is that?!" Bransen scowls when he glances at Nathan. "He saw everything, he knows what we are. He passed out when those bastards rammed his head against a wall, I brought him so that he could swear to secrecy." I let out. Bransen scratches his head uncomfortably. "Lex is not going to be happy about this. Good luck explaining it to him." Bransen says with his eyes wide open with fear of Lex's chastisement. "Yeah. Don't remind me. Anyway, gotta get this lump to the infirmary. Talk later?" I ask pathetically as I trudge my way. "If you're not dead by then." Bransen mumbles. "I heard that!" Bransen giggles.
