LADY YUN VISITS

Melinda Moon was home in the afternoon when the front doorbell rang answering it was an imperious looking older woman

in a designer pink skirt suit and black hair that was graying at the temples and golden brown eyes, a pretty matching hat with flowers on it stood there

accompanying her were two men in black suits and a black town car in the driveway

a clutch purse hung from her shoulder

"good afternoon arent you going to let me in?" she asked her imperiously

"excuse me?" Melinda gasped "who are you?" she asked stupidly at a loss

"I am Patricia Yun my daughter was Yun Sulyn later married and became Moon Sulyn I am Moon Daesooks Mother in Law and I am here to see my grandson Moon Yonghwa" she stated

Melinda's mouth opened in shock the woman pursed her lips in displeasure

and brushed past her entering the house with her two men

"Yonghwa! grandson!" she called out loudly as she entered the house

there was no answer

"where is yonghwa is he not home?" she asked Melinda "mam I'm sorry he might not be able to hear you," Melinda said

"We recently installed sound control technology on his studio and his room

his piano playing is a bit too loud to tolerate and it's not often nice to listen to

let me go up and see if he will answer the door "

"then I shall come with you that saves time," Patricia said they went up the stairs

and she turned off a control panel on the wall outside his door before knocking there was no answer

just the sound of faint classical music coming from the room

"Yonghwa your grandmother is here to visit with you please answer the door"Melinda cried desperately

"why is he not answering?" Patricia asked

"well Yonghwa is in puberty these days he's in his rebellious stage" Melinda answered "he and his father aren't on the best of terms lately"

Patricia called down to one of the two men that accompanied her

"get this child's door open immediately if anything has happened to my grandson call the police" she instructed

"yes mam" the man replied coming up the stairs

"what! No not the police! it's not that serious ill call Daesook " she cried

Melinda was beside herself and called Moon Daesook on her cell phone telling

him his mother in law was here and had barged into the house demanding to see Yonghwa

Moon Daesook rushed home from work

Patricia's man used a pocket toolset and did not take long to work on unlocking the door

"Yonghwa?" his grandmother cried entering the bedroom

it was empty of the boy

"where is he?" she demanded

"I dont know!" Melinda cried "he should be here he didn't leave the house since the argument "

"What argument?" Patricia pressed

" They had a huge argument," Melinda said "Yonghwa screamed and broke things and used foul language even he behaved rather badly his father had to punish him"

"punish him? this was when?" Patricia asked this type of behavior was not the boy she knew her grandson to be

"The evening before yesterday" Melinda replied he completely trashed his father's room it was a huge mess" she elaborated

"mam please take a look," one of Patricia's men said calling her over to the balcony window there were curtain ties hanging down from the balcony and tracks in the dirt below

"it seems he escaped the house this way" he pointed to some other tracks along with the footprints "those tracks are small wheel tracks like the ones on a suitcase it looks like he was carrying luggage with him that's not just a kid sneaking out of the house for a little while after a disagreement taking luggage means he's runaway"

Patricia turned around to face Melinda behind her "what the hell is going on in this house?" she demanded

Daesook rushing to the house seeing the black town car in his driveway Daesook entered his house

and hurried up the stairs seeing his wife and mother in law in Yonghwas bedroom

"Daesook!" Lady Yun spat his name like curse

"what have you done to my grandson? he has run away from home!"

she said sharply

"what do you mean he's run away?" he said barging into the room

looking around the room all of Yonghwa's things were gone his mother's pictures from the wall had been taken down all that was left was empty picture frames hung on the wall still

his closet had been closed and chained up to prevent anyone from getting in

his little kitchen was gone his laptop and electronics were gone from his desk as well

Patricia arched an eyebrow at Daesook

"are you telling me that you are not even aware that your own son is missing?"

she cried "what nonsense is this? your housekeeper is telling me that you and Yonghwa are not getting along? how long has he being punished in his room? did you check on him at all the last two days? what is going on in this house? where is my grandson?"

she was getting angrier and more frosty by the second with her two men standing behind her she was a force to reckon with

"housekeeper?" Daesook replied stunned "Melinda is not my housekeeper she's my wife"

"what?" Patricia cried "what are you talking about? wife?" she glared at Melinda fiercely

"i leave and go overseas to quietly mourn my daughter's passing and i come back for her memorial to spend time with my grandson and you already have a new wife?"

"it is no wonder you and the boy cant get along these days you do not even give us her loved ones time to get over her death and you have already moved on?"

"Your daughter is dead no amount of mourning can bring her back why waste time on a dead person? we are alive, we have to keep living our lives regardless, you and your grandson are both the same going on and on about her I'm so tired of it already " Melinda said callously

Patricia's mouth opened in shock "and this is the stepmother you have taken? this woman that dares to tell me why waste time mourning my own daughter? does she have no manners does she not know her place? she is below the standard!"

"I am sorry Patricia" he apologized

"do not call me by name anymore you are no longer my son in law!" she snapped

"you have a new wife her mother should be your mother in law now you address me as Lay Yun" she stated coldly

"well then since youre not his mother in law anymore you should get out of my house" Melinda spat

feeling insulted at being called below the standard it seemed she was never good enough to measure up to Moon Sulyn she must have been a saint sent from the heavens in everyone's eyes and not a normal woman

"and take your men with you when we find yonghwa we will give you a call he can't have gone far anyways he has no friends to go to that we know of he's probably staying in a motel or something acting spoiled as he always does "

"your house?" Patricia said with a cold smile

"When I bought this house for my daughter and her husband when she was getting married where the hell was you? this house doesnt even belong to your husband dear it belongs to me "

Melinda went pale and Patricia smiled slowly

"that's why I said you should have some manners and know your place, you married Daesook without care of the consequences, didn't you? without knowing a lot of things about his situation in life

well now that going to come back to bite you in the ass I allow no one to be so rude to me or my daughter alive or dead and I sure as hell dont allow anyone to chase my grandson out of his own home that I gave to him and his mother

if he can't be happy here with his father then no one is allowed to be happy in this house and one more thing, do not dare to touch a single thing in my grandson's rooms I will return and take care of his things myself "

"relock this door" she ordered her man

the two men saw Daesook and Melinda out of the room and the man who unlocked the door quickly once more relocked the door as he had first found it

she and the two men swept out of the house
