Found

The next two weeks, I spent studying the book with my grandmothers letter written in it. I looked for the two books James gave me. I finally found them and placed them on one of the dressers in the room. I haven't talked to anyone in the last few days, I just simply ignored their messages. I grabbed Greys' letter and placed it in my pocket. I knew they were going to come look for me soon so I had to find a new motel and field. It was 8 in the morning, I had two hours left in the motel room.

I went on my phone and looked for a close by motel, one that's not too far from the field. I felt a weird presence. I quickly put the books into one of my duffels, hiding it behind the bed. I looked through my window and saw 3 hooded shadows. I looked around for my car in the parking lot, and it wasn't there. The shadows were approaching the motel slowly. I formed a portal to the other side of town, quickly grabbing my duffels I run into it. I've never gone to this side of town. It had a lot of dark alleyways, some abandoned houses. I walked to a nearby one and placed my stuff down. I put down one of my barrier spells on it.

"Olivine." I heard a voice from the second floor. I formed my katanas, protecting the duffels.

"Who's there?" I shouted through the house. One of the shadowed figures came down the stairs. It was an elderly woman. She had a scar on her eye.

"Eleanor Viotto." She claimed. I looked at her confused before pulling out one of the pictures of her. It was her.

"Grandmother, I thought you died? What's going on?" I questioned her being.

"I am dead. So are the others you have seen with me. I don't have much time left, but I need you to calm down." She removed her hood, revealing her short gray hair. I put my arms down, but kept my katanas out.

"Your mother, she's going to start slowly working on her plan in 4 months. She's planning on removing you a week before. Sweetheart you need to listen to me carefully, whatever you do, do not go back to your old town where she is. The fight is coming to you." She revealed the time span I had to save myself. I stared at the floor, gripping onto my katanas.

"How are you here? I'll make sure she's dead before then." I looked back at Eleanor.

"I wish we had met sooner, possibly when I was alive. You're such a sweet soul. A certain person has an item that can temporarily bring people back. They chose me and my two friends." My eyes started to water, I never had a relationship with her. This is the first time I've ever talked to her.

"May I know how you passed?" I had a feeling James had brought her back for this purpose. He had ancient magical items, but I didn't know it can do this.

"Your mother. It's okay, I'm in peace now. Sweetheart, you need to do the job. It'll be difficult, but you're the only hope. One of the spells in the book you don't need to practice. It's the last one and it's the most difficult but your Aunt knows how to help you. I'll be there. My time is coming to an end, once again. Goodbye." She put her hoodie back on and went upstairs. I stared at the stairs, still comprehending everything.

I put another barrier but this time it was placed on each of the duffels. I went onto the couch, it wasn't dirty or dusty at all. I closed my eyes, and took a nap.

I woke up an hour later to a bang on the door. I rubbed my eyes and checked who it was. James. Did Eleanor tell him? I tried ignoring it but he kept banging on the door.

"It's been two weeks, open up." I heard him shout from behind the door. I opened it for him. I watched as he walked in.

"What do you want?" I quietly asked. He sat down on the couch, getting comfortable. He stared at my arms, and continuing observing my face.

"You're pale and have bruises. What have you been up to?" James asked. I scoffed at him, can he leave?

"I've been practicing. Since when can you bring back my grandmother?" I glared at him, seeking answers.

"You've practiced enough. You need to come home, we all miss you. This isn't helping you in anyway Olivine. I had the ability for a while, I waited for the moment it was necessary."

I chuckled at his response.

"You don't think I want to? I miss you guys so much." I tightly revealed.

"You leaving didn't stop the demons." He finally revealed. I turned to face him.

"You're kidding me." I sighed. She really knows how to aggravate me.

"They came last week. Grey got injured." James got off of the couch. I stared at him in disbelief.

"Fine. I'm coming back, only for two weeks." I grabbed my duffels and formed a portal to Aunt Beth's house. We both entered it. I threw the duffels onto the floor. Aunt Beth was standing a few feet away, staring at me.

"Hi to you too." I greeted her with a monotone voice. She ran over and pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back.

"Don't you dare do that again." She shouted at me. I didn't care, I was just glad I saw her again. I soon let go and see Beatrix running up to me. I sit on the couch and she jumps onto it, going towards me. I pet her as she placed her head aggressively on my arm. I took out my phone and finally replied to the others. They replied as soon as possible, looking for answers.

"Are they together right now?" I asked Beth, she nodded and gave me his address.

"I'll be back for her." I pointed down to Beatrix before forming my portal and walking in. I stand in front of a small cute house. I knock on it and a girl opens it. She looks like she's around 14, and resembles Grey.

"You must be Olivine. I'm Alexa, Grey's sister. You can come in." She opened the door for me. I slowly walked in, looking around the house. From the corner of my eye I see Grey and Niven. I walk over to them and they stare at me in silence.

"You're here.." Niven let out. He ran to me and pulled me into a big hug. I let out a giggle and hug him back.

"The letter you wrote broke me. It sounded as if we weren't going to see each other again. Don't do that." Niven playfully punched my arm. I can't let them know the possibilities of me dying in the battle...

"Vio." Grey sighed out. I looked back at him.

"Grey." I smile at him. Niven left the room, leaving Grey and I.

"This is a death letter, isn't it? You wouldn't have confessed in person." He broke the silence.

"It's a possible death letter... I don't know how the battle would go. I'm sorry I confessed like that." I played with my bracelet.

"How are you feeling? I heard you were injured." I walked closer to him. He got up and walked towards me. He pulled me into a tight embrace, holding onto me with dear life.

"I'm fine. To the moon, right?" He whispered into my ear. It's been a bit since I last hugged him so it was off but I hugged him back.

"I'm so sorry. I thought leaving would make them chase me down and they would leave you guys out of this." I choked out. He let go of me and gave me a quick peck on my lips. He started wiping away the tears from my cheeks.

"You need to rest. We'll be okay." He grabbed my hand and we walked to the couch. I sat down next to him, still holding onto his hand. I think back to what my grandmother said, if I understood properly, I can defeat her and survive. My body has to be prepared for it, the pain, the agony, the guilt, the anger.

"Are you hungry?" Alexa came in.

"Yeah, there's food in the oven you just need to heat it up. Thank you." Grey told his sister. She left the room to the kitchen. Niven came back into the room, I see the relief on his face.

"We have a few months until the fight with them. She might stop sending her creatures down here cuz it'll be best to have as much as she can until then." I explained to the others.

We distract ourselves for the rest of the day by playing video games. The food that Alexa made was so good, I swear his whole family is talented. She stayed with us half the time, we did a girls vs boys challenge and of course we won.

It was 9pm and I realized I should go back home.

"It's time for me to go back to the apartment and fix it up. I'll see you guys tomorrow." I gave them hugs before forming a portal to the apartment. I fixed the window I broke, and cleaned up the glass from the floor. Once I cleaned it all up, I formed one of the strongest barrier spells I know on the apartment. I called Aunt Beth to let her know she can bring Beatrix and the bags. There was a knock at my door and it was her.

"Thank you again. I'm sorry for leaving.." I grabbed the things from her. Beatrix was in the carrier so I opened it once I placed it into the apartment. She gave me another hug before walking away.

"Beth, your mom said there's a spell in a book you gave me. You're helping me with it during the battle, what is it?" She stopped in her tracks. She turned around and faced me.

"It's best if I keep it a secret for now. I'm glad you're back." She continued walking away. I don't like the sound of that...

I unpacked the duffel bags, putting the books in the shelf they were in before I took them out. I suddenly remembered about Miss Davis. I ran and knocked on her door. A worker of some sort opened it.

"May I help you?" The rude man had an attitude.

"Yes, is Miss Davis here?" I looked behind him and saw the apartment was a bit messy.

"Yes, is that all?" He tries closing the door in my face but I put my foot in the way.

"I'm coming in." I push open the door and push him out the way. I see Miss Davis on her bed, looking fatigue.

"Sweetie, you came back." She weakly welcomed me. I walk over to her and grasp her hand.

"Yes, I did. What did I miss?" I look at the machine on the side of her bed. She was sick.

"I don't have much time left, dear. Thank you for everything. Your Aunt came for Beatrix yesterday, I should've texted you." She coughed up. I handed her a bottle of water that was on the nightstand.

"You don't have to apologize. I can find a way to help you, Miss Davis." I took out my phone and started texting Niven. She put her hand over my phone.

"It's best if you don't. My time is almost done, I don't want to cheat my way out of the way we're supposed to live. Live your life to the fullest, okay dear?" I felt my eyes tearing up, once again. I put my phone down and grasped onto her hand.

"I'll try. You can rest now. I'm proud of everything you have done. You're an amazing soul, Miss Davis. Your son loves you, so much. Goodnight." I rub her hand as she slowly releases it. The electrocardiogram starts beating as her heart starts flatlining. The worker runs in here but he realizes it's too late.

"Where's her son?" I asked the worker.

"He was on his way back with flowers for her..." He trails off. I fix the blanket and have it cover most of her lifeless body.

"When he comes, let her know she had a peaceful death. She wasn't alone." I told the worker as I left the apartment.

I went into my bed, falling into a long awaited deep sleep.
