Persues POV
The moment I grabbed her, a jolt of electricity went through my body. I pushed her away and turned away. "Just wear the damn shirt." I barely got out, my breathing getting faster.
What the fuck was happening to me? "Are you done?" In response she threw her shirt at me. DAMN! This was getting on my nerves! I was so used to reading peoples minds, didn't even have to ask them small questions like that. But her mind was blocked off, I couldn't sense anything from her. Which drove me even more crazy, I could read every damn thought of anyone I wanted, but hers.
Hoping I was calm enough, I turned around. She looked so small in my big shirt.
I took out the lighter from my pocket, and lit her shirt on fire.
"What are you doing?" She asked her face full of confusion.
"They took your backpack, we cant carry it with us. Would make your smell stronger." I said trying to make her understand. "But since they're passing by also, we cant leave it here."
She nodded watching her shirt burn. "You owe me a new shirt." She said, making my lips twitch at the end. I wouldn't smile, I wouldn't give her that satisfaction.
"Lets go." I said when her shirt was gone. I put the lighter back in my pocket and we started walking towards the village.
I turned around to see her a few feet away from me. "Maybe you should cut down the pounds." I didn't meant it though, her body was perfect. I picked her up again and started running towards the village.
He stopped in front of a big gate that was made out of pure solid black, and gentle put me down this time. "Don't leave my side. Stay close to me. They don't hunt on human blood but- " He stopped. "Gus wouldn't forgive me if something happened to you." He looked into my eyes. "I don't even see what he sees in you. Just some weak human." The gate slowly started opening as he grabbed my arm.
I yanked my arm away from him. "You have no right to handle me like this. And my blood isn't weak is it?" He ignored me.
"Welcome back, the others are waiting for you." The guard told him, then he looked at me.
"I assume you were informed"
The guard nodded and with that we walked through the gate.
The village was so lovely. When you walked in through the gate, there was a big fountain in the front. Surrounded by little kids playing around it. The village wasn't anything huge but cozy. Laughter was all around. I looked straight head to notice a beautiful castle. It was amazing, tall and strong. I gazed at Perseus, he was searching around with his eyes. And when I looked back at the town, many had their eyes on us. He growled.Once again, he picked me up and ran.
I was against his chest. His no shirt chest. I closed my eyes. Stay calm. His perfect, sculpted by the angels chest. My breath hitched up.
He came to a halt in front of the beautiful castle. The pillars were crystal clear, and the stairway to the castle doors were made out of marble. There wasn't anyone around.
"What is your problem with lifting me up? I can walk fine by self." I said.
He ignored me, classic Perseus, as he started walking towards the castle doors. He opened the door and walked in not even waiting for me. I rolled my eyes and followed him in.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in: Everything was white.
"Bella!" I knew that voice. I smiled, was so happy to hear a familiar voice. "How was you twos alone time?" And my smile faded away.
"Great. Just.Damn.Great! Are you done?" Perseus yelled.
"What is your freaking problem? Yelling at everyone." I asked annoyed.
"Just his time of month." Gus whispered to me.
"Say one more word Augustus." He said with no emotion. "And I'm going to kill you." He sighed and rubbed his temples. "Are they at the meeting room?"
"Yeah, waiting for you two." Gus replied back
Hearing that, he started walking. I looked around the room for the first time. In front of me, there was two curved stairs going up, and two curved stairs going down. In the middle of the stairs was a hallway with a big gold chandelier in the middle hanging down, lighting up the whole room. There also was hallways on each side. The floor was a solid white marble. It was beautiful.
"Better not keep him waiting." I heard Gus say, as he followed him.
I took a deep breath and followed him, in between the stairs, to the hall and to the meeting room.
Perz POV
I walked off following the hall into the west wing. Saying I was pissed would have been an understatement.
I stopped in front of the two solid black french doors again. I put my forehead on the door and tried to calm myself down.
I smelt her before I heard their foot steps. I shook my head waiting for them to catch up. With that I opened the door and welcomed myself in.
Saraphina POV
Two words, gorgeous and huge. Walking through the castle, I felt magic around us. I would have stopped to enjoy each painting, each detail I saw, if it wasn't for Gus pulling my pulling on my arm and reminding me that Dracula One was waiting for us.
I admit if it was another time, I would have loved to keep waiting, but this time it was different. At the end of the hall we saw Perseus opening the doors and walking in.
"His so nice to his visitors." I rolled my eyes. "He could have at least waited for us."
Gus snickered. "His not used to anyone questioning his command."
"Command? Who does he think he is?"
"You will see." I heard Gus whisper.
Before I could ask what he was talking about, we walked through the doors and our conversion forgotten as we step into a room with every eye on me.
There was one long table in the middle of the room, with chairs surrounding it. A few of the chairs were occupied, their eyes all on me. But one of them caught my eyes. The same eyes as Perseus, sea green. And I knew it, the one sitting at the end was his father. The leader.
Silence filled the whole room until Perseus's father rose from his seat, with a smile on his face. "Welcome." His voice was like his sons. Strong and powerful, carrying through the whole room.
Before I could say something, his smiled turned into a chuckle. "Interesting choice of shirt dear, I believe the smell that is coming from you is my sons?"
I found my voice, "He thought it would be best if I wore a shirt of his. To confuse my smell of course." I looked at him, trying to find my confidence.
He nodded the smile still on his face. My eyes wondered around the room for the first time. The room was almost empty, other then the table and chairs. The back wall was full of big windows, with plain red curtains.
His voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "My names Antonius. I was told of the situation. You will be a visitor here. Treat it like its your own home."
"Thank you sir." I said softly.
"No need to be formal, may I know your name?" Antonius asked.
"Saraphina." I was getting more confident as I spoke.
And then I saw it. Something in his eye. The way his body stood still. "Saraphina." He said back slowly.
"Just make sure you stay out of everyone's way." I turned around, Perseus was learning his back against the wall, arms crossed, and still no shirt on.
Before anyone else would respond back, I felt the words leaving my mouth. "You know its a shame you didn't inherit your dads kindness. Probably wouldn't be as gloomy if you did."
Gus put his hand over his mouth to cover his laugh, which didn't help much.
He was about to respond back, but his dad cut him off. "Perseus, show respect." He was trying to be stern, but his eyes were laughing. With that he sat back down and looked at me. "He inherited my temper."
I couldn't believe this man had a nasty temper, he was to kind. My eyes followed Perseus, he took the right chair beside his dad.
"Maybe someone should show her around, give her a tour of the manor." One of the man said.
"Sounds like an reasonable idea." Antonius said.
"Gus promised to show me around." I found myself saying.
"Then he shouldn't break that promise." He replied back. "Go on now."
"Thank you."
"Nothing to thank me for."
I smiled.
With that Gus lead me out of the meeting room and into the hallway.
