Chapter 314

West's P. O. V

Makela tagged along on the ride back to my girlfriend's house. I had been meaning to ask Chirper if Makela had moved in suddenly and they had become roommates. But the opportunity never presented itself, I wondered what sort of connection they both had aside cheerleading.

She looked like a guilt train, and her lower lip suffered the most. She kept on chewing on it while she mindlessly stared out the window.

"Thanks." She replied, without breaking her concentration. I could see Makela through the rear view mirror, doing the same thing. Looking equally as nervous as Diana.

"The most important thing is that everyone was safe." I let out, trying to make light of the situation. The silence was just too awkward and none of them were willing to part with it.
