West invited me over to his new apartment to help him unpack. It had been a day since he moved into it, and I wanted to desperately see the place.

His place.

"West's here!." Mom called from downstairs.

Convincing her to let me go after the whole stunt we pulled off wasn't easy in the very least. I had to promise her a butt load of things I wouldn't do on a normal day.

And of course, I was stuck doing laundry and cooking for a month.

I stared into the mirror, brushing my hair for the hundredth time, hoping I looked simple enough.

"You're such a cutie..." I heard mom say in her momma voice, she only used that tone whenever...

My eyes zeroed on the little kid from the funeral standing in the middle of my living room, his cheeks suffering my mother's tight pinches.

"Hey." West said, staring at me from head to toe, a satisfactory grin plastered on his face.
