The Legalities of Marriage

"So, was the room comfortable enough for everyone, at least?"  I asked with a smile.

"Oh yeah!"  Simon grinned.  "There are green and orange mint candies in a large jar on the writing table, and the soaps in the bathroom don't smell like old lady soaps!" 

"The window is pretty high up so you can only see through it if you're tall, like Corwin or Connor, but I hear it only looks out onto the backside of the kitchen where the dumpster is located." 

"There are six single beds so I got my own bed!" 

"Well that sounds fairly decent.  So what have you guys all been doing all morning?"  I smiled at Simon's excited tale of adventure

"We just woke up." Connor grinned.  "After you passed out, the maids took you to your room, but we stayed up and partied till the cows came home."   

"Why'd you stay up so late?"  I frowned.

"You think we had a choice?"  Corwin grumbled as he passed a piece of warm toast that he had just buttered over to me.
