"For someone who's been out for three days, you sure got a lot of energy." The girl said as she rubbed her forehead.
Looking across to the trembling boy. After calmly breathing despite the cries of the demons he began speaking.
"how many? How many days as it been?" he asked her.
"Three, t-h-r-e-e." She spelt it out, "but care to explain just what happened to you when I blessed you?" She rose to her feet turned and eyed him.
"Explain? Explain What? I- I don't remember anyth-" he paused and his eyes wide open as he remembered a deep voice speaking, speaking to whom? To him.
The voice said mockingly "I've been waiting a thousand years for you. But you just had to be a weakling. Ha, so be it. I'll lend it to you. My abilities that is. Use it well new candidate. I'll be watching."
His face looked like he was about to crap his pants. One look and she knew it wasn't going to be great news, after all the towns folk were all turned into lesser demons and the city destroyed. She herself was no longer angelic. The demons themselves were keeping their distance, as if they understood some sort of hierarchy was in place.
"Boy, I know the timing couldn't be any better for You, but get a grip." She said to him sternly. He stopped shaking and looked at her. Her tiny frame which made him subconsciously spout
"Where's your parents?" only to be greeted by a hell of a punch.
"I'll forgive you for that, but I'm older than you." She said furiously.
"I'm sorry." He said rubbing his stomach, "What happened?" he asked her.
"You really don't remember don't You?" She sighed "You, turned into a blood thirsty demon." He froze before exhaling
"I see, it's true." He said and told her about the voice and what it said.
"Hmm so you really are a candidate? that explains the situation; I guess it's time for my side of the story." She said to him as they sat opposite from each other. "I'm a goddess, I came here to revive you and grant you a blessing, but upon reviving you, a huge surge of dark energy overwhelmingly poured out of your body, turning all humans into lesser demons, you vaporized the city, I was helpless against the energy, it ate my divine power faster than I could breathe." She said sadly looking down. "As the dark energy took my last power, I died. Or so I thought, our bodies were next to each other you revived me subconsciously, but I'm a Goddess just bringing me back took almost all your power, when I came too, you had passed out; been that way for three days." He remained quiet as she sulked.
"I'm sorry, you only came to bless me, but ended up turning into a demon, you can't even return to heaven even if you wanted. The voice was right, I'm just a weakling." He gritted his teeth. She exhaled and began speaking,
"That may be true, but. I'm alive because of you. For what it's worth, I may have horns instead of a halo, but I'm alive. So thank you." She smiled. He felt his chest tighten as he looked at her, his eyes fixed on her eyes, red and captivating.
"So, what now?" He asked.
"I don't know much about demons. But I do know, since you brought us all back, you are our master. So I'm kinda like your servant." She said as she rose to her feet once more and walked over to the broken window. The grey light of the moon shone down upon the earth, she reached towards the light.
"Servant huh." The thought of having one never once strolled his mind before.
"What's your name?" He called to her.
"That name will serve no purpose for I am no longer Divine. I'll let you choose, you're my master now." She said in a cold voice. He observed her. Long curly black hair, a robe that had been tattered and eyes look as if they are seeking something that cannot be found, at that moment "beautiful" came to his mind.
"Diya. Your name will be Diya taken from diamond. What do you think?" She turned and looked at him as he rose to his feet.
"And what will I call you?" she softly asked as she stared into his blood eyes.
"I just died by a level one plant, but now and with you I can be strong, no I vow I will not be referred to as weak. Choose for me, let this be our new starting line." He said boldly. His words shook the air around her as she instantly remembered once in her past life about a man who proved to be a great ruler in his lifetime and thus she replied
"Sargon, No." She walked towards him and bowed " My master, Demon Sargon."
