BATTLE STATIONS

At Sargon's command Lia dispelled the barrier allowing the angels to enter, but returning the favor by attacking. The demons were throwing boulders at them, some were climbing the towers to jump on them, the ones that were caught were immediately eaten. The energy in the angels were enough to rank up the demons by two. The angels began to fall back into the sky.

"You're not going anywhere!" Lia shouted as one giant barrier appeared behind the angels. "And now, Shrink!" she commanded, as it began shrinking pulling the angels back down.

"it's no use, we fight with everything we got." The angels pledge.

Firing holy arrows down upon the demons. Some got impaled, some took cover, some got hit pretty hard. Lia cast Corruption on three spots on the court yard. The demons that weren't dead made their way to the cast circle which revived their strength and wounds. Sargon on the other hand wasn't in a good mood. He had been glaring at a group of three up in the back, which he suspected one may have been Ares.

"Take out the one with the staff." Ares ordered, as one of the angel flew in.

Lia began shooting little balls of dark orbs from her staff at the angel flying towards her when Sargon disappeared.

"Foolish girl, learn to aim well." He said as he landed on the balcony.

"Really? It didn't do nothing?" she said to him.

"Absolutely nothing." He said as he closed in.

"Not even as a distraction?" she said as he was hit behind the head by Wendell.

"Help yourself to lunch boys." He said to the demons below as he pushed the angel off.

"Any idea where the madam is?" he asked Lia, who was busy casting Corruption.

"No idea, since master came back he was quite pissed." she replied to him, "Do you think something happened between them?"

"No idea, but we need her here." He replied as he began manipulating the shadows of the angels and making them crash together and as they fell the demons ate their fill.

Meanwhile in the sky Sargon appeared, he was standing on Lia's reconstructed barrier.

"Which one of you is Ares?" he called.

"Lowly demon, you have no right to speak to us." He knew it wouldn't lead anywhere, so he used Taunt.

"Enyo was it?" he chuckled, which got Ares attention, "Isn't going anywhere, she's my woman."

"Is that so? Then I'll take her be force!" he lashed out as thunder clouds began to form.

"What do you know about her?" Ares punched him.

"She's frightfully independent." He replied

"Boohoo, been there." Ares mockingly replied.

Sargon countered by landing a knee to the stomach on Ares.

"She was gonna be my wife." Ares said as he punched Sargon's face.

"Was? Guess you don't know how to keep a woman!" he fired back one blow to the face.

They continued to exchange blows until they were both sweating and gasping for air.

"You don't know the first thing about her." Ares said as he wiped his bleeding nose, he opened the palm of his right hand summoning his holy weapon.

"Is that so? I guess that makes us both fools." Sargon replied as he formed a blade with his blood.

"No, it makes you both my food." Said an unfamiliar voice.

As they both turned to the direction of the voice, they were greeted by an extremely strong blow which sent both of them plundering to the ground. Having both leaders fall, made both sides stop fighting to acknowledge their new foe. It was in fact Vanir who had entered the battle. Wendell was struck with fear, and Lia assured him that Sargon wouldn't lose as Diya finally made her way to the balcony and witnessed Sargon buried in the ground and a ten-foot giant hovering above him. She felt that the light at the end of her tunnel vanished as she thrust into the battlefield, flying leg first into Vanir, kicking him down, she stood above him.

"I'll kill you, I will shred you from limb from limb!" She screamed as she looked out to his army and back at Sargon's army, "I don't care how much you eat, finish every single one of them." She ordered as Sargon's army emptied unto the fields.

Vanir pushed her off him and began pounding her with blows.

"You call that a punch? I couldn't feel anything! She said as she caught his fists, digging her long nails into his knuckles she got up.

He kicked her in the stomach which shattered some of her ribs. The force made her lose her grip and fall on the ground.

"All that yapping and no bark." he said to her.

He picked her up by the hair and began bashing her head into the rubble. Her blood spilled everywhere she began losing her sight when Vanir was stabbed by a spear and now had a fist through his stomach. Ares removed his spear as did Sargon removed his fist, Vanir staggered backwards before kneeling on the ground holding his stomach oozing of blood. Sargon rushed to Diya's side followed by Ares.

"Diya, can you hear me, answer me." Sargon called to her.

She coughed up some blood in an attempt to speak, as blood was oozing from her head. He cast Consume, hoping to take some of her damage or at least share the pain so she wouldn't bare it all.

"I have to get you to Lia." He said

As he felt her stomach he noticed some of her organs were out of place and her rib cage has broken in some places. Ares saw the look on his face and he acknowledge Sargon's feelings for her.

"I'll take her to your healer, trust me." He said to him.

Sargon who was gripping her tightly refused to let her go but eventually entrusted her to Ares as he carefully wrapped his hands around her and picked her up. Sargon found it hard to let go of her hands, as Ares flew towards the castle Diya kept looking back at him. Vanir grabbed Sargon by the head as he felt something snapped deep down inside him. Sargon held on to Vanir's hand and let out the loudest battle cry his lungs allowed him to. He shook the whole area even the gods present there were at awe. He twisted Vanir's arm breaking the bone, still holding onto the same arm he pulled tearing it off his body. Vanir threw himself on the ground holding the place his right arm no longer was. Sargon grabbed onto his left foot and lunged him up in the air and back into the ground repeatedly as blood began to spill. He lunged him so hard that his foot tore off from the knee. Sargon had completely given himself over to rage. Vanir began crying and begging for his life as Sargon jumped on top of him, he lowered himself close to his body and placed one finger on Vanir's left forearm, as it shred off. At this time Ares had delivered Diya to Lia who placed all her might into healing her. Wendell was astonished by the fact that the once fierce demon lord Vanir is now worthlessly begging for his life. Sargon still on top of him, held his head in his hands. Vanir was crying and begging, pleading that he would never come close to him again if spared, that he would become his underling, but no words reached his ears. As he stared into Sargon's eyes he saw something equivalent to the previous demon king smiling down to him. With fear being the last thing he saw Sargon squashed Vanir's head in as everyone looked on Sargon screamed again, his howl was so loud and fierce, Vanir's army dropped their weapons and surrendered in fear. Diya's organs were restored as well as her bleeding stopped, but that wasn't the end. Sargon began feasting on the dead body of Vanir. Everyone looked on in horror as he began to grow in size. He grew into a nine feet demon and began targeting his own army.

"He's beyond help now." Ares spoke.

"I have to stop him." Diya said as she struggled to stand with the aid of Lia.

"You? Look at your condition, and look at him, he's fighting unconsciously." Ares said to her.

"What do you know?" she looked at him sternly. "He's crying inside." She said as she stumbled. Wendell quickly grab her.

"I can hear him; his thoughts, he thinks I'm dead. He's crying. I have to go to him." Diya uttered.

Ares studied her face carefully. He knew he no longer had a place next to her anymore. He took one deep sigh.

"If only I was a goddess again." She muttered as she dropped to her knees.

"Then do what the powerless does, pray." He said as he flapped his wings looking at the raging demon.

He knew what he was going to do next would be suicidal but he was a proud god and the god of war doesn't run from battles; he grabbed Diya's forearm and gave her some of his divine power since she was currently weakened. It was risky, but her being a former Goddess should suffice and it did.

"I still have a bone to pick with ruthless over there." Ares said as he pointed his spear at him.

He let go of her and flew off. Diya realized exactly what Ares was telling her and so she ordered Lia and Wendell to assist him for she didn't want them near her for what she was about to do. Working together Wendell tried restricting Sargon's movements by manipulating his shadow, Lia tried draining his power by directing it towards the army to recover, and Ares who ordered the remaining angels to fall back, flew around trying to take Sargon's attention off the buffet in front of him. Diya calmly breathe and began focusing her concentration deeply until all the noise faded in the background she clasped her hands together and prayed with the aid of Ares's power.

"Oh Father, who art in heaven I pray to you. Your humble servant asks you, grant me thy power, which once was mine, to save that which is important. grant me this humble request. Once more, let me harness the power of the almighty; so that I may vanquish thy enemy. My name is Enyo, your servant and your Goddess of War." She extended her right hand and opened her palm. "Come, Zeus's Thunderbolt!" the sky above opened as lightning struck.

A surge of lightning bolt hit her. She was holding a thunderbolt but her appearance began to change. A halo appeared above her horns, her skin turned fair again but the red markings remained, her wings appeared once more, but they were both black and white. Her hooves turned to feet again, but it was charred until her knee. her hand became charred until her elbow and she grew a tail.

"Thank you, Father." She whispered.

Flapping her wings once more, she vanished and appeared in front of Sargon.

"Hold him!" she shouted to them.

Striking him with the bolt. The surge was so strong it sent the rest of them hurling towards the castle.

"Come back to me Sargon." She shouted hoping that her feelings would reach him.

The struggle lasted a little bit, as a flash of white light went off blinding everyone for a few seconds. All which was heard was a heart stopping roar. When the light faded they saw a passed out Sargon being cradled by a smiling Diya and Apollo who did nothing but observe, turned around and disappeared in a white light.
