A FAMILIAR FACE

Diya stretched as she woke up at the crack of dawn. She arrived at the edge of the eastern part of the forest where monsters were gathering. Even though she was a safe distance away as she observed, she could sense the presence of something deadly yet familiar. She swore she knew the presence, but couldn't remember where. What was intriguing, was that the lingering magic from Sargon’s old home resonated at that location. From the trees she’d see cliffs and demons who were over rank eight, some of which had wings. She didn't want to risk being caught so she returned to the shelter of the forest. While jumping through the branches she caught a glimpse of some rabbits and decided that they would be her dinner. She immobilized them using her powers, as she landed on the forest bed, something swiftly pounced on her. She was caught off guard which in turn made the bracelet shattered.

“I screwed up.” she bit her lip as she fell to the ground.
