REUNION

“P-permission to speak freely, master.” Wendell asked,

“Granted.” Sargon replied.

“I … don’t want to die.” he said.

“Huh?” Sargon stared at him.

“I, your humble servant does not wish to die, or go up against a creature of that magnitude. I’m small compared to what’s before us. Half of your generals are unresponsive at this time. Also if the three of us were to team up, the possibility of us winning is … slim.” Wendell said as he avoided Sargon’s gaze. “It’s a living dragon for darkness’s sake!”

“He’s got a point.” Ares said.

“Then what do we do? It’s staring at us as if we’re walking meat.” Sargon replied.

“Might I suggest a peace offering?” Ares replied as they stared at him.

“Peace offering?” Wendell asked.

“Don’t listen to him, he’s an idiot.” Sargon said.

“Then do you have any better ideas?” Ares snapped.

“It’s huge!” Lia screamed as she came into the veranda.

“Oh, Lia how are you feeling?” Sargon asked.
