Chapter 52 : * Freedom *
When the five criminals was locked up in jail already , Prince family was finally set free.
Now they can go out of their home and roam around visiting beautiful tourist spots , they were not cowards in hiding their weak members of the family but they prefer to play it safe .
His grandmother visited the prison , she become hysterical and wanted to shot the criminals dead inside the prison but of course the policemen will not allow her to do that , but they allow her to slap the five criminals on their faces to show her grievance and she tag at their hairs wanted to pull each hairs from their heads one by one no one stop her , they allow her to heap up all the anger and grieving she feel for more than six months now.
" You deserve losing your hand and foot that's good for you !", Prince grandmother angrily scream at Vero and Clarkson who just bow their heads when she saw them inside the jail as well as the three farm workers .This is the first time those man saw his grandmother because his grandfather never brought his grandma in the farm , for his gran farmworks is for men only they are not fitted for woman. He had intention to bring her in the farm but after some haragons started asking for money and threatening his life he decided to abandon the idea of bringing her in the farm to spare her from danger and her identity will be kept secret.
" Sir ! you better bring your grandmother home , it is a very emotional day for her , at her age she should calm down and relax her mind to something worthwhile like a time with your family that can keep a look at her ", one of the policeman advice Prince.
" yeah , but I also wanted her the satisfaction of seeing the murderer of my grandfather behind bars !", Prince reasoned out.
" No ! it's okay , I'm so happy to see them
rut in prison , and I am so proud of my grandson because of what he accomplished ! I am glad that he had made them a cripple , now they can harm no one at the state of their physical condition ", her grandmother smirked arrogantly at the five being lock up in the same cell... Prince don't say anything , he can't openly admit that he had intentionally hurt them badly , he will not admit that to the policemen. Her grandmother make it sure to file a case of murder against the five..
Braxton mother was crying in desperation when she visited her son , she can't ask Prince to forgive his son because he had attempted to kill him so forgiveness is not one of the plan of his parents.
" Mom , please calm down ! you had been not well since after dad's death !". Karen softly talk to her mom in law.
" Yes mom , please relax ! you 're being too hysterical today !", Joseph tried to talk to his mom.
" Don't worry , I am just so happy that they had been caught , it hadn't take a decade before they were capture like the other cases that happened in our country !", her grandma said.
After their dramatic event in the police station , the whole family decided to visit the farm and the house where Prince stay for the mean time.
His parents were surprised to know that he was keeping Viviene with him in the old house.
" Have you forgotten Larene now?", Karen asked her son.
" Ma , I am trying to move on with Viviene , at least she is human and I can feel that she really love me !", Prince explained.
" As long as you're happy son , I am happy for you too !", Karen said as she hug her son.
." Thanks for your understanding ma !", Prince grinned at Viviene who nervously stared at him , expecting his family to be angry because they decided to lived together without their knowledge..
" Come on ! why you're so tensed? whoever my grandson loved is welcome in our family as well !", his grandma told Viviene when she hug her , a sign that she's welcome in their family.
" Thanks granny !", Viviene said kissing the cheek of the older woman. This is the first time she met Prince family and they never failed to amaze her , their welcoming words and gestures had really made her heart beam with happiness.
Both Kate and Maggy are roaming around their old house , Maggy can't believe she had spent her infant days in this house.
" I miss my dogs here , this is where the place they were killed !", Kate with tears in her eyes as she remembered the painful memories of her childhood. Their parents had always tried to protect them , she had no idea what takes place that cause the lose of the life of her pet , but that was the first heart ache she had as a child.
" Kate , that was a long time ago and yet you still remember?", Karen asked.
" Of course mama , I thought we will be back after a few days or papa will bring our pet to join us but imagine how frustrating it had been for me , expecting to see them and suddenly I will hear from papa that all three of my pets were all dead already " , Kate nostalgia.
" I 'm so sorry honey ! I hadn no capacity to protect our pet ", Joseph told his daughter.
" It's okay papa , what's important is that you're safe and had been with us !", Kate said.
" I don 't know if all of my decision at those days were all right , because flight is a sign of defeat , but what's important for me at that time is the safety of our whole family , because all of you were too young !", Joseph told them.
" Honey , if you did not do those things I am not sure if we're still together up to this days !", Karen told her husband.
" Thanks honey , seeing we're all safe to this day made me realized , I made the right decision ", Joseph said , Karen nodded in agreement.
" You see how dramatic my family are?", Prince whispered in Viviene ears which makes her giggle flirtily.
" I love dramatic people , that's where you found the real love !", Viviene replied.
" Very sentimental kind of family but of course I love them all ", Prince said holding her hands with him.
" That's the real love , you're so lucky to have such family ", Viviene happily said.
Viviene get along well with his family she becomes very close to his family. But the truth that he knows nothing about her family and until now he is waiting for her to open up about her own family.
" Is there anything she keep a secret? anything about her family she don't want him to know?", he thought to himself .
" You already know everything about me and my family , when will I going to meet your family?", one day he asked Viviene while they are lying down in bed , hands tangled as if massaging each fingers.
" There's nothing interesting about my family , besides my parents are out of the country right now , I have no idea when they'll be back !", Viviene said , Prince choose to beieve her.
Prince was so happy to see his grandma starting to regain her strength. Seeing the murderer of her husband suffering inside the prison give her a new motivation to survive and live with a new perspective.
She started to go out with her friends , joining zumba clubs , dancing again which is her favorite pasttime.
Everytime they visited home Prince can heard again the loud laughter of his grandmother as though she is starting to be alive again.
" I'm glad you're happier now granny !", Prince said as he kiss his grandma's cheeks while she's in her phone talking out loud .
" Of course , life's so short that we need to enjoy every minutes of it and not to dawdle to any problems that comes to our lives " , his granny said while Viviene follow him.
" Come on ! we had been waiting for both of you , the table had been waiting for us !", as the older woman raise herself from the sofa and lead the way to the kitchen where foods are waiting for them in the table .His parents and sisters are already sitting in their designated space in the table.
" Mmm...mmm... I miss your cooking Tonia ", Prince loudly so the cook will hear.
" Thanks Prince ", Tonia chimed in smiling.
Both Prince and Viviene take their seats as well after his grandmother occupy her own space in the main end of the table being the head of the family. Everybody happily devouring the delicious foods serves infront of them talking to each other as though nothing to care about anything in the world.
They were all laughing soundly at every joke their father shares.
Now they're back to being happy family again caring nothing about in this world , just enjoying the company of each other , no more crying just laughing and merriment is in their midst.
